Forgot I posted that. Salad is kept in pretty poor conditions and is a cross contamination nightmare. Breadsticks from prep to table are just an absolute disgusting sight. They paint on a huge amount fake butter (fun fact: they're accidentally vegan, surpringly) with a brush, put them in the oven, and keep them in a warmer until they run out before the next batch. You could have breadsticks that have been in a warmer for hours depending on traffic. If you get a refill chances are at least one of your breadsticks has been touched by an ungloved hand or touched a surface that you wouldn't want them to touch. I have seen floored breadsticks hit tables a crazy amount of times during a rush, especially if it's the last of the batch in the warmer. The paper they're wrapped in and the plastic container often hit the ground as well or if they're short on containers due to a rush it's very likely you'll be getting a container from another table before it has the chance to be washed. And this happens for many reasons but mostly because management (and customers) put a ridiculous expectation on speed over quality experience. The grated cheese isn't much better. Either touched by ungloved hands, touches other surfaces, or cross contamination. Graters aren't washed throughout the day either unless visibly dirtied but that's not really that big of a deal if people didn't put their grubby hands on the cheese.

I would have to fill in at a few different OGs around town here so it's not just one restaurant. There's other gross shit that is more situational and specific to locations/workers. One of our cooks, the head cook, would undercook chicken put grill marks on it and nuke it in the microwave to meet ticket times in rushes. Shit like that.

I mean that sounds more like the standards of your restaurant rather than Olive Garden as a whole

invest in some airpods, find a podcast/youtube channel and try and walk 2 miles everyday if you can(it takes me like 30-45 minutes and I'm a slow mover lol). Diet wise, just start learning about calories in vs calories out, if you refuse to do this step than ignore this post lol.

If i walk im typically ok but when i start doing things more intense i keep my inhaler near by. But i only recently was able to get a refill. My doctor was out of office for the beginning of COVID and their offices were used as an urgent care.

TC- I know it's tough bro. Find the motivation though. Can you exercise outside or something? What can you do to help lose that weight? Is it a mental thing, or something else?

It was mental at first because of COVID and i didnt really want to be outside much. However, i've been taking my dog on long walks and found this little park where i can work out at. Gonna start doing Yoga too. I cant run on concrete really though cause i tore my achilles a while back and running on concrete starts to hurt after too long.

Make sure you are not eating more then you think. Normally if you are just not working out, would shouldn't gain 50 pounds like that.

Eh, the problem is that normally i work out so i eat more to make up the calories. I was still eating the same but not being active. I was also still having my cheats days. So over the next 8ish months the weight just added up.

Not really mentally, just physically. I've really put on COVID weight. I dont know how people are ok with being obese. My clothes all feel tight and i feel like shit after i eat. Tired all the time. I havent really been eating that bad either. Just kinda sitting around too much.

Like im not having self esteem issues or anything. I just hate how i feel physically. Gonna start working out tomorrow. I was working out still during covid just doing stuff around my house and jogging but it was too distracting and i lost focus and stopped. I'm 6'4 and usually range about 220-230.

It's a good job if you're in school or need a 2nd job. Its usually 3-4 hours a day if you're not the closer or opener.

If you work in a busy city you can probably make hourly and about 40-100 bucks a day in tips. Thats what i averaged at least

Not that freedom of speech grants you the ability to necessarily communicate via twitter, but the more it tends to a monoplogy on a style of communication, the more it needs to be discussed under the context of a public utility.

I work for the electric company (specifically on electric meters) and deal with dogs every day. The unfortunate truth is pit bulls are free and people who get a free dog dont care to train them or dont know how to train them. The dog breed that has attacked me the most is the Chow. But the dog I see most (by a large margin) are pit bulls. I have seen a pit maul another dog while I was working but the kid walking the pit didnt have the strength to stop it, obviously not the kids fault, or the dogs fault. So blame the owner who shouldnt have gotten a dog (let alone a dog that strong and hot tempered) to begin with.

Bruh, when i worked for spectrum and i went inside houses you wouldnt believe how often i heard "Its fine, they dont bite" then the dog wouldnt listen to their commands. The issue is that people dont train their dogs until its too late. When its hard and expensive for it. I had a dude that was 70ish, he could barely walk and had two giant german shepherds. They clearly didnt get out enough and weren't socialized with any other dogs other than each other. They were just two huge dogs with pent up energy and anxiety. He tried to put them up behind a little baby gate thing and they just broke it down. We told him that we couldnt work in his house until the dogs got put away somewhere where they couldnt get out. His wife came home and put them in the garage but the wife clearly wasnt able to walk them either.

Pit bulls get put in that situation far too often because they are cheap and often free. Just pent up energy, anxiety, and fear.

Im on the fence with this issue. My brother has a pitbull mix and I know he didnt go the extra mile to train him, yet hes still one of the most well behaved dogs Ive ever been around.

Because a lot of dogs actions come from personality and genes. It's not as simple as "pit bulls bad"

When I volunteered at a shelter I talked to a vet about it. The issue is that pit bulls and rotties are very common guard dogs especially poor areas. This is thanks to breeders who shouldn't be breeding dogs.. They don't get socialized and they are very loyal to their pack. They are also dogs that are very strong with huge appetites. It's very common for those dogs to just be released when the people can't keep them anymore. So now you got a dog that's not socialized, growing into an adult, hungry, scared, and roaming. They've usually been beaten too.

They run into someone or something they don't know and their response is what they know. Bite.

This can happen to any dog! It's just its very common for those security dogs
