I look forward to not wasting time on Halloween costumes...although, to be fair, I did get Springfield's witch outfit last year. Seasonal stuff (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) just seems less interesting to me.

I'm okay with 'em, but they usually have boring qualities, like flooding/reflooding areas, controlling gates and switches, poisonous monsters, etc. I enjoyed the Novigrad sewers in Witcher 3 specifically because they were mostly dry tunnels with secret areas and tons of alternate entrances.

Yeah, the $100 packs were full of chaff and the company lied about some kind of pull rates or certain cards being pulled at mythic. Just a stupid idea all around -- they could've found better ways of lowering prices on chase cards without whalebaiting.

On the fifth season now. I'm a little astonished at the way some of the older characters were written off. Gabrielle's parents and Lila's husband were all beheaded (off-screened) and her niece was sold into slavery; Xena's mom was tormented by Mephistopheles and burned at the stake. I shudder to think what happened to Minya and Autolycus (not that I think they'll necessarily show up again).

PS: Xena tricking Lucifer into committing all the deadly sins and becoming a demon was gold.

Ohhh, the white-haired god is Deimos, god of terror. No idea who that is. The Furies poisoned Gabby's mind into stabbing Eve, and now they're about to all gank Xena as her two comrades are injured. I like how Aphrodite is helping Gabby anyway.

Ares: You SHOT me! I'm the god of war! Nobody shoots the god of war!

EDIT: So Ares gave up his immortality to save Gabby and Eve, which then allowed Xena to kill Athena. What a bloodbath of an episode. Definitely one of the best in years.

Although to be fair, the second he showed up looking like Billy Crystal in The Princess Bride, I knew he was sending out infinite death flags. Still sucks, but I hope they don't try to replace him with his kid.

Also, Eve is finding redemption!


EDIT: Also, looks like Poseidon, Discord and Hephaestus died permanently? Poseidon caught a godmagic richochet into his watery chest, and they said Xena had god-killing powers aftewards, so I guess it's true. But who's that weird white-haired goofball god? He just showed up like we're supposed to know who he is. Maybe he was introduced in Hercules.

Hera helped Hercules against Zeuss wishes when Xena was pregnant. I dont remember exactly why though

IIRC, Zeus wanted to fight fate and Hera disagreed, thinking their time was over. Zeus absorbed (?) Hera at some point in a weird tornado limit break and she never showed up again. Maybe she's still out there, I dunno.

Wow, that 25-year timeskip came out of nowhere. Eve is now grown and a Roman general, corrupted by Ares, and after meeting her, she's now out pillaging and murdering like old Xena would.

I did get a kick out of Xena waking up from her cryocave and asking for Ares, only for a peasant to say he hasn't been seen in "these parts in twenty-five years!" That was never a problem before, but apparently Eve living have switched pleas and paeans over to spotty wifi rules. (Even weirder, she finds Ares later using this exact method.)

Old Joxer having Virgil as his son is funny, though.

It's weird that Xena is taking Death hostage, especially after saving her from that king in the first season. At least they acknowledged that.

PS: Athena is bae


Oh snap, Gabrielle died (?), Eve died (??) and Xena committed suicide (!!??) as Joxer watched. I know this'll all probably erased and the baby is safe somewhere (I wonder if Death did it), but that's still pretty dark.

Also, why does Hades dress like some King Arthur reject? You'd expect the God of the Underworld to have more skull motifs or swing a scythe, not run around with a claymore and a velvet cape.



They should get the old Hades back. He felt more goth and odd, which is what you think about when you're around dead folks and CGI harpies all the time.

Another game I really enjoyed on Dreamcast was Railroad Tycoon 2. I eventually bought it on PC, and while it's definitely better in a million ways, I still enjoyed it back then. I think it has save bloat or something, though, 'cause the game would often freeze up if you played a map too long and tried saving (IIRC).
