I did one pull on b1 because I really want Zidane's sync... got Edge's sync and Zidane's Limit Glint instead. Definitely not bad, although I missed the top prize. My IV team is looking pretty decent now.

Zidane's sync seems totally nuts, since it has instant ATB3, instant cast thief, AND combines with his awakening (you can doublecast sync ability 1 and still have it linked to a wind celerity ability).

I noticed it's now MUCH more worth it to finish all the 6* magicite with both damage types. You get something like 110 EX lenses and 540 6* motes now (along with the artifact stone and mythril that you always got). So I was trying to beat Leviathan with my new Lightning sync. I didn't quite get there, got down to around 3%... but I think next time I will get it now that I know how short the stop is, I will just put Lightning in slot 2 instead of slot 5 (where she was dying to doom right before being able to finish the fight).

The Lightning sync is obviously awesome. Nothing else really moves the needle except maybe Cinque's awakening will help for that dreambreaker.

PSA: If you want to get all your draw tickets fast, the nightmare battles are only 1 stamina and they're super easy now. The only downside is that you can't autorun them. I'm running Demon Wall (Crushdown) right now with my ice team.

We should be getting the 6* ability buffs with tomorrow's maintenance, are there any you're looking forward to? I was planning to get Ultima because it can help quickly kill the tornados when I get around to doing Valefor with magic. But I recently learned that Omega Drive will now generate more SB than Lifesiphon. Since I still use Lifesiphon a fair amount I'll definitely be using that, too bad you can't make more than one copy. And the changes of Penalty Snipe and Quad Foul to be bio might eventually be useful when I get around to bio Odin.

I've tried the FF7 Dreambreaker a few more times but never gotten close to that first attempt. I think I should have done the dream select and taken Aerith's awakening, since my team keeps wiping (I think I got lucky with her medica chase triggers the first time). But too late now so I guess I'll just wait until until I draw something to power up my team. I guess I could also raise my HC from 90 to 99, but that's a lot of resources and I'm not sure if it would be enough so I'll wait for now.

I made Running Start. At this point I have tons of rubies and crystals though. But I think Running Start is better because it gets rid of the cast time of the thing after which can be a 2.5s soul break while Flash Disaster only gets rid of its own cast time (and it's about half as strong as other Celerity abilities that take 1.2s)

Final Gilgamesh done! When I was thinking about how I could get enough damage from my XI team I remembered Shantotto has a lightning chain, so I just used Ashe as an off realm and it was pretty easy. 17/17 done, 15 full realm teams, TG Cid (I) and Ashe (XI) were my two off realm characters.

Four more Gilgameshes done:

T0 - I had a decent healing USB on Deuce and offensive awakenings for Rem and Machina, so I just had to figure out how to support them. I got some damage from Cinque with her USB and I used Jack because he had a DK Cecil-style USB, but that didn't do much.

II - Once I got the characters up to snuff with crystal water and record boards, and got a level 80 HC and HP accessories, it went smoothly. I had two offensive awakenings (Firion and Emperor) and Maria still contributed solid damage with her old doublecast USB.

I - I have no awakenings at all for this realm so I just cheesed it with Orlandu. I used Fighter's holy chain, used Matoya as an offensive white mage to boost the chain, and then stacked Orlandu's Sync and AASB. That still wasn't enough to finish the fight but the trusty old doublecast USB got the job done.

V - This one was about maximizing Bartz since his AASB1 and AASB2 were my only offensive awakenings. I went USB3 -> AASB1 -> AASB2 and then enjoyed the instant doublecast Snowspell Strikes with double cap break and insane chases. Faris contributed imperils, Galuf buffed and punched, and I have good soul breaks for Lenna.

So, that only leaves XI. My only halfway decent offensive character in the realm is Shantotto, but she's a powerhouse and I have good healing for Aphmau. I might have to grab a couple things from the record lab and spend some tails / 6* motes but I'm sure I can get it done.

I got to 12/17 Gilgameese, did XIII and XIV. The ones I have left are I, II, V, XI, and T0. The remaining ones are going to be pretty tough, I've tried II a couple times but my damage output is bad even though I have two awakenings. These are fun though so I'll keep trying.

Did III, XII, and XV so my count is at 10/17. These just keep getting harder, I tried II but failed, I need a decent party buff there.

I got Ultimate Weapon down to 7.1% in about 30 seconds, then my chain ran out and everybody died except Cloud. I think I just need Cloud's sword damage LMR and I'd be able to do it. I guess I'll try changing things a little bit and see if I can get there.

If Beyond becomes a thing there will definitely be more banners, and with power creep they'll be better than that one was. They won't be half price though.

This event is basically FF7 Remake: the event, I kind of love it.

Beat two more, VI and X, so I'm up to 5/17. VII should be next easiest but I'm going to wait until I can use Cloud's HA tonight, since I want to get it anyway. I tried IV and that one kinda sucks because of the silence status (that can't be blinked) when my best characters in the realm are mages. I also tried V and forgot how bad my team is, it's basically Bartz and Lenna plus scrubs. It's fun though, I'm seeing where some of the holes are in my teams. I'm going to grab Rosa's USB (the Elarra type one) with lenses and see how much that helps.

He's easier than DBs but harder than d450s, kind of in the middle between them. He has a ton of HP but he's not that hard to stay alive against. His hardest attacks are gravity attacks at the beginning of phases 2 and 3 which can't kill you so you just need to heal after they're over.

Got my first three clears with VIII, Tactics, and IX. Those were fairly easy so I'm pretty confident I can get all the EX lenses (7/17) without too much trouble.

125 myth for a realm chain might be worth it to people struggling with Dream Breakers or Gilgamesh.

If I didn't get Krile's real chain from the FFBE ticket I would have bit on the FFV one.

I think the first 25 mythril pull might be worth it on some of them if you don't have dupes, but the 125 mythril chain is kind of a trap. First, these banners only have 7 items at 2% each, so by the third pull you will probably have at least 3/7 dupes. Second, the gen 1 realm chains are WAY worse for DB than the gen 2 realm chains that overwrite dreambreaker full break. I'm mostly looking to pull on banners that have the better realm chains now.

Hmm, I don't know exactly what to expect from Gilgamesh but here's my expectation:
