Sort of.

Had a job where my hours were Monday-Friday. No weekends, except on volunteer basis.

One Friday after we'd had a bad snowstorm, my boss asks if I want to come in Saturday to help catch up on the work. That weekend happened to be my birthday and I had plans, which I mentioned, and I declined the weekend work.

Cue to later that evening as I'm punching out and a different manager says "Hey I'll see you tomorrow thanks for helping out with the delayed deliveries" and I say "I told Joe Schmoe that I couldn't work, I have plans" and this guy says "Well we have you down to work, if you don't show up it'll be a no-call;no-show and you'll be written up"

I didn't go into work that weekend.

Monday morning I get called into the supervisors office and they're telling me they gotta write me up, and I told them it's bullshit and why and walked out.

The thing about working today especially hourly paid jobs is how little voce employees have now. it's all rigged to favor the employer. If you told them you couldn't work, it should have ended there since you said weekends were volunteer basis but I guess they just ignored that and that sort of stuff is why some workers need unions.

I did early starting out because the job was BS and the pay sucked which is why I admired anyone who works and gets paid by the hour because hourly paid workers in America are at the very bottom of the pecking order when it comes to employees.

I worked at a food manufacturing plant as an assistant plant manager and the reason I left was the fact that they worked the hourly people pretty much 6 days per week for no reason other than to secure bonuses for upper management.

We would have product in the warehouse that was made 6 months prior that never shipped and the management kept saying the inventory was low which was total BS because I would do inventory scans on my own and we would have more than enough product.

I got fed up with that and just didn't go back one day.

I came across this doc on Prime video and this dude was, well, weird. He claims he time traveled from the year 3036 and that according to him that's when the end for mankind takes place.

He also said there will be a period beginning in 2050 in which the planet goes dark because man has abused and misused the planet's resources and that this dark period will last for about 20 years. He also claimed wearing masks in the distant future will become a way of life and mandatory, so this Corona is just the intro into getting us accustomed to wearing masks.

Really weird and creepy.

These people are quick to refer to SS, Mcaid and Mcare etc as "handouts" and "entitlements" when they themselves are the biggest welfare queens in the country.

PENSION: As a federal employee, members of Congress can qualify for a pension in addition to Social Security. A member vests a taxpayer funded pension after five years of service and is eligible to receive a pension as early as 50. Full pensions are normally conferred at 62. The irony here being they don't think regular folks should have a pension plan and as we all know most employers in America have done away with company sponsored pension plans that some of our grandparents and parents had during their working lives. That's all gone and now that's left up to people who for the most part make less than $50,000 a year but you're expected to sock away money for your own retirement via IRAs and 401K plans that most hourly paid people can't fully fund.

The average retirement salary annually is roughly $12,000 per month for former members. Federal pensions are classified as "Private Information" because you don't want the very people you're fleecing knowing what you get.

That doesn't include the millions these crooks make from outside deals which violates ethics laws but they do it via loopholes. Some of these people are employed in their districts by federal contractors for selling out the government to the highest bidders both at home and abroad.

At the end of the day, your safety and well being is up to you. It's akin to getting annual medical checkups. Either you get checkups or you don't but either way that's on you to stay on top of keeping your health in good shape so for me I wear masks and I keep my distance from people.

Not the Senate! Addison "Moscow" Mitch McConnell blocked the $2,000 much the way he stonewalled Obama SC pick Merrick Garland.

McConnell has been a jerk for a very long time and how the good people of KY keep getting duped by this guy and voting for him is beyond me. He partnered and sided with KYs coal companies to take the health insurance of sick coal miners away when they needed it most.

McConnell, if anyone recalls, also blocked a bipartisan denunciation of Russian interference in the 2016 election before voters went to the polls.

McConnell is a jerk plain and simple.

makes sense! Both my parents were blue collar workers and it's 7 of us so needless to say we didn't come from money. Far from it and our needs always came before our wants and with 7 mouths to feed etc, we didn't go out to eat often, we shared toys etc so yeah most parents want their kids to do better.

He blew the whistle on the US Government Agencies spying on Americans without consent of Congress and without US Citizens knowing it because it was done in secret. That's a violation of the 4th amendment!

So whenever we send an email or make a call, the NSA is already tapped in and listening/reading. They have total access to Yahoo, hotmail, google etc email servers and most of the cell phone carriers network so they intercept our calls, emails etc, and analyze them before they reach our inbox.

So for people who send nude selfies, a bunch of geeks have seen you in your birthday suit. LOL

He worked at the NSA and blew the whistle about the US Agencies collecting data on US citizens in clear violation of the 4th amendment by intercepting phone calls, emails, texts etc without Congress or US citizens knowing it because it was done under the guise of monitoring Islamic terror groups.

My niece works at UPS and the stories she tells about the handling of packages is crazy. Apparently some people just sling these packages around without regard for damaging them.

I do not buy things like tvs online. I just go to a store and after purchasing, I open it up right there and check it out that way that can't say I did anything to it.

I use a combination of software and hardware but I also limit what I share on social media by creating dummy accounts. I use incognito mode at times as well.

I also shy away from search engines that collect data so no google for me.

I create strong pass words whenever I create an account especially financial and work related accounts.
