I was worried that playing SOMA would ruin System Shock 2 for me, but I can see they're two very different games. SS2 let's you get on some action pretty early on. The photos were faked because the original negatives were destroyed by the Van Allen Radiation Belt. Some photos definitely are fake and were passed off to be real, and that's where the conspiracy theories come from. The reason CoD gets so much shit is because multiplayer is basically the same in every game. The campaigns are usually pretty enthralling, though.
