LITTLE ROCK (KATV) Arkansas County Sheriff Todd Wright has resigned after he was allegedly recorded using racial slurs against black people.

The five-minute audio recording began circulating on Facebook this week, according to KATV content partner the Pine Bluff Commercial. In the recording, a man uses a racial slur nine times after becoming upset that a woman he was with spoke to a black person in a grocery store.
The man calls the woman a ***** lover" and says, Why you got to holler at fucking ******* when Im around."

Wright's resignation was announced Friday after a special Quorum Court meeting was held to address the recording. Arkansas County Judge Eddie Best said several people spoke during the meeting who knew the sheriff and asked the sheriff to get help.

Wright's resignation was effective immediately. But according to Best, Wright will still receive a contract labor check for the next month to help the sheriff's office move forward after his departure.

Wright will not be paid for insurance or retirement during that period.

Arkansas County is a county of about 18,000 in the Arkansas Delta.

I don't think it's illegitimate work; but sex work comes with many risks--mentally and physically. I'm not sure what jobs you could be referring to, but I am finding it hard to compare any "shitty" jobs to sex work. A lot of sex workers also come from traumatic upbringing typically filled with extreme emotional and/or sexual abuse, which I feel plays a significant role in making the choice to be a sex worker.

I'm not hating on women doing OF. But this idea that they are empowering themselves because they're getting paid to show their naked bodies or ride a dildo is laughable to me.

It was in 2018's replicas starring keanu reeves so SPOILER ALERT if you actually care about the deep plot

it's about a neurobiologist (reeves) who tries to bring his family back to life after they die in a terrible accident

so reeves is a neurobiologist that is close to being able to transfer a dead person's consciousness to an artificial android, and he's friends with a cloning specialist at work. He has a wife and 3 kids (a teenage boy and girl and a younger girl named zoe). They're going off on a vacation when they accidentally drive off the road, over a cliff, and into a river. Only reeves survives

yada yada yada reeves and his friend decide to try and bring them back by putting their consciousness in cloned bodies but the bad news is they only have 3 cloning pods. Zoe is randomly picked as the odd person out who they won't bring back

reeves sets out to erase zoe's existence. For his family, he actually deletes any memories with zoe in it from their memories and gets rid of evidence around the house that she ever existed. And that's it. That's literally all he does to erase zoe from the entire world. And it somehow works. Nobody at all cares or notices in the world that zoe has literally disappeared. At times while waiting for the clone bodies to mature he responds to his wife's and 2 other childrens' social media so no one notices them gone. Nobody cares that zoe is gone not even her school for the entire movie
