I don't think you're getting that people don't message each other constantly and always give constant updates as to what's going on in their life. If at all. This has been a thing for at least a decade now. "Fuck these millennials. Learn how communicate!" Things are different now, unfortunately. Nobody messages and communicates like they did back in the late-90s/early-2000s, and that's just how it is. Only thing I can suggest is try to stop messaging people. They don't do text messages/IMs/DMs/PMs, and they don't even talk in chat rooms.
