Alright, this was bugging me, so I looked up a guide for the Adventure Mode and a lot of the battles have requirements of getting 1,200 KOs and beating it in under 15 minutes for the A rank, so maybe it was doing that over and over that wore me down?

In comparisson, most of AoC's challenge missions and between 5-10 minutes and don't have ranks, they just give you rupees based on clear time and KOs. And there are only a handful of 'get x number of KO' type missions (mostly the training ones you get after unlocking a new character).

No, I liked the story mode, while it lasted. It was definitely doing the Adventure Maps where I got bored.

I just remember doing lots of full-size mission-style maps that took, like, half an hour each or something and getting really bored. But, it's been six years since I played it, so I'm happy to admit I'm looking through... uh, whatever the opposite of rose-tinted glasses are.

That's a fair point. I think I did have whatever DLC was available at launch that got you the Shadow Link costume? But I know I stopped playing before it all came out.

I'm not sure what DLC they could do for this without pulling stuff from non-BotW games.

I think HW just had too much meaningless content. Like, I never really got much sense of accomplishment for doing them and the missions were all way too long for how many of them you had to do. I just got bored.

This feels like a much more achieveable amount of content, the rewards are more useful and the rare rewards (like costumes) come more frequently, plus it actually does stuff that the main campaign doesn't, like getting to fight multiple high-level enemies in challenge modes or no-hit challenges and stuff. In fairness, HW might have had some of that, I don't remember a lot outside of the story.

Campaign beated. I liked it! Was a fun celebration of BotW and I'd be interested to see if they maybe do some DLC closer to when BotW2 comes out.

At 76% complete, so just gotta get those challenges and quests polished off now. So glad there doesn't seem to be as much to do compared to Hyrule Warriors. Doing those maps was a slog.

I've recently become bothered by routes having dozens of trainers with one or two Pokemon each. I'd much rather routes have fewer trainers, but each trainer has more Pokemon.

Also the fact that almost no trainer has six Pokemon.

Also the fact that the AI is normally as thick as pig shit and the only way I can enjoy the games these days is by artificially increasing the difficulty by doing Nuzlocke runs.

FFVIIR, Ghost of Tsushima, 13 Sentinels, Maneater, Fall Guys, Gears Tactics, RE3R, Animal Crossing, Savage Planet, Spiritfarer, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

To a lesser extent, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and TLOU Part II.

A lot of these I need to finish to pass final judgement, but I've enjoyed what I've played so far at least. Looking forward to playing Hyrule Warriors later today and Immortals: Fenyx Rising next month too. Still undecided on whether I want to get Cyberpunk on launch or not.

The more I play, the more I realise how janky the AI is. There's a section early on where you have two AI companions and you're supposed to set fire to some carts. I decided to sneak into the base, but your companions can set fire to the carts for you and the game does that thing where enemies can't see your companions so your stealth isn't interrupted. So, I just snuck around the base while my companions ran around burning down all the carts. They were literally running around going 'who did that' while my companions just stood there next to them.

I dunno, the only launch console I ever had before the Series X was the PS2 and that still works (as far as I know, it's in the loft).

Thinking about it, considering they probably sold a few hundred thousand Series Xs (maybe millions, I dunno), this amount of people reporting problems seems about normal for any kind of hardware, doesn't it?

Man, people have a lot of bad luck with consoles. Only problems I've ever had were:

Xbox 360 got the RROD about three years after I bought it.

I didn't play my PSP for a year or so and the battery died.

Both sets of Joycons have had drift, if that counts.

Game Gear had a thick black line across the top of the screen, but I did drop it on a hard floor, so that one's on me.

I remember Bruce Willis saying a long time ago that he wanted to do six then stop, but I was really hoping he'd given up on that idea after the last one. Really hope they don't end up going with the 'children of all the previous villains' plot that was floating around a few years ago too.

Ryan has always been one of my favorite members of AH since he came on board and in the videos that he is in his personality and play style always aligns most closely with my own. And at this point the best (and only) defense he has is that it seems like the possibly one instance where the girl was 17 was a situation where she lied and said she was 18, but even that is no defense at all. It's a sickening pattern of predatory behavior and abuse of power and it's been happening for years. I'm just all out of sorts.
Nah, theres been at least one other girl who was 17 who told him she was in high school, but he never asked her age and afterwards, when she said she was 17, he didnt seem to care, allegedly.

Also, before he deleted all his social media accounts, multiple girls have posted screenshots of messages from him begging them not to say anything publicly and to think of his kids. Dudes a scumbag.

Yeah, Ive been following this for the last couple of weeks. For the record, theyre not scrubbing every video, as that would easily be 70% of their content, just videos where hes a focus and any video that gets reported as being a bit disturbing with the recent context. For example, I believe theyve already removed an Off-Topic episode where they discuss how Ryan would always stay in hotels an extra day whenever they went anywhere for Lets Play Live.

But yeah, pretty gross. I think something like 14 people have come forward, some who were only 17 at the time, and apparently he was using money he got from Twitch subs to fly them to Austin and book them hotel rooms, money he told his Twitch viewers was going towards his kids college funds.

Also, Adam Kovic from Funhaus got fired at the same time. He was sending nude pics to a supposed fan (apparently it was a catfish pretending to be a woman, not underaged) which included photos in the Funhaus office and also videos of his wife which looked to have been taken in secret.

It sounds like you're playing it.

And go for it. It's great. I haven't quite finished it yet, but assuming it sticks the landing, it's an incredible ride. Each of the 13 stories manages to do something unique enough that it doesn't feel repetitive, plus the short acts make it really easy to just pick up and play for a short time, then stop. And the glossary and timeline are there because the story is intentionally confusing and told in a random order. I have a pretty good grasp on the order of events, but I'll still probably flickt through the full timeline when I'm done just to get everything straight.
