You have to go find some dude in a military academy who can hit a lot of targets but hasn't actually had any experience to undertake a high risk hit on someone who is an immediate existential threat to humanity. The worlds "like real life snipers" really doesn't want to belong anywhere near it.

The point, which I don't think you've grasped, is that someone can talk a big game, but when it comes down to performing the action, it doesn't always happen. Obviously I was wrong about what happened in the game. It's been 20 years. But the point still stands for other situations.

"Which girl is going to come visit me in the infirmary." Nearly every Final Fantasy has something similar to that. And it isn't a high school, its a military academy. One that sends its students out to solve monster issues and political issues.

And by what you've said in your message, I take it you didn't actually pay attention to the story. The trains lady is named Rinoa. She hires on Squall and his party to assassinate someone, but they first have to go to another academy to find the expert Marksman who will accompany them, Irvine Kinneas(the sniper). He breaks down because although he is one of the best snipers in the academy he has never actually taken a life, which mimics real life snipers in the military who have never killed before.

While 8 starts technically with finding Ifrit, I'd like to think the real start is Dollet. Which isn't any worse than 12 starting with Reks and then moving on to a flatline with Vaan in a sewer.

At least 12 felt like a fantasy game with grand ideas and not a high school drama where extremely boring people (all but 1 of which literally have the same backstory) enact the most tired and cliche time travel/generic villain plots that were stale in the 90s, there was so little creativity or imagination on display which is so rare for a Final Fantasy game and it had an immensely boring and poorly thought out Draw, Combat, Leveling, Limit Break, Weapon Crafting, Money Earning system.

Who the fuck designs a game where it gets harder if you level up so the pragmatic way to play is to fight as little as possible and the best way to earn money (which has no real use) is to just leave the console on all day and walk away? Where you can just have low HP and turn skip to do Limit Breaks forever and cheese the entire game?

Even the sidequests in 8 were lame.

I'd take the Hunts in XII over the stupid alien things or having to fight 16 boring Tonberrys in a row to get a summon.

Didn't VIII have that one boss that starts out with an unblockable attack that does 9,998 damage to all party members? So you HAVE to have max HP or use a Holy War to not instantly get a game over? Talk about a beginners trap. That's just lazy design worthy of an early 80s arcade coin stealer.

Laguna is pretty much the only thing that saves that game and he's barely in it

Your praising 12, but it literally did the same thing.... less than a month of the original game coming out on the PS2 people designed a gambit set up which allowed the game to play itself while you slept. It couldn't advance the story, but beat the hardest boss in the game Yiazmat?

You also say that 12 has the better story, but I call bs on that. You essentially have 3 stories in the game with everyone else being a side character despite one of them(Balthier) being far more interesting than the rest of the cast.

Vaan and Ashe forget the reason they are journeying, Vayne is never in the story, the only consistent is Basch and Larsa. Which even they can't save the game.

The only worse villain than Vayne is Ardyn from FF15, but that was because they didn't connect Kingsglaive and the actual game.

And I get that I come off as bitter, but it was such a waste of time as a FF game. At least 8s story, even at the expense of being hot garbage, is consistent. The characters each have their own reason to journey, the main villains are always present in the story to show why they are a driving force, and up until the part where Ultimecia is introduced, its actually a very well made story, with the first disc being imo the best introduction for any Final Fantasy game.

Not even close. 12 through 15 exist. IMO 12 is the worst. Sure it had a beautiful landscape, but everything in that game really pissed me off. Lack of story, character having little to no development, and those characters looking god awful on release due to the switch between CRTs and HDtvs. At least the sorceresses had some sort of character development, even if it wasn't great. Vayne shows up at the beginning of the game, and then proceeds to disappear for 90 percent of the game.

80/85 is about as dark as I'll go. Has to have sea salt on it as well.

If it were to get remade, I have my doubts they would even get to Deling City in Part 1. Hell, the Seed exam itself could be just 1 game.

The only real solution is to find a way to lower the national debt. Americas debt is something stupid like 28 trillion dollars? Work on a way to reduce that, and everything should go back to normal. If that means putting a cap on the amount of money one can have then so be it. I'm sure if you took a few billion from the richest people in America it would go down at the very least 500b dollars.

While I like the idea, I would rather someone full on remake Terranigma. The style of that game could really work well with a FF7 Remake design. If we are sticking to Final Fantasies, then probably go with 9. I love 8, but both the battle system and the story haven't aged well.

Maybe companies should stop understaffing their workers then. I worked in a theatre, and the payroll system was a joke. 17 theatres and 2 ushers assigned to clean them on Friday/Saturday nights. And people wondered why garbage just got shoved under the seat, hallway/lobbies didn't get swept of popcorn, and napkins/straws/butter were slow getting restocked.

that's not always the case. I worked at Wal-Mart and we were staffed properly, but a ton of people were young and chose to call in sick instead of actually coming in to work. Now, the blame isn't entirely on them, as Wal-Mart were assholes when it came to time off and scheduling. People would have Thursdays as the day they cannot work under any circumstances and Wal-Mart would schedule them for that day. They changed my shift the day of, and expected me to work 3 extra hours despite me telling them no. They also yelled at me because I brought a coffee in from Tim Hortons during Black Friday(I was working carts), because "If I'm not allowed to have my coffee then your not allowed to have your coffee".

I don't like to curse, but shut up B****, just because your moody in the morning doesn't mean we all have to be. I left work at 11 last night, and came in for 6, which is under the 8 hour minimum and your still getting pissed at me. I came in because the person who was supposed to be working called in and said he couldn't work. So I worked the previous night, and then proceeded to work 11 straight hours because they couldn't find someone, all the while getting written up and being threatened to be fired over a coffee. I reported her, and still nothing came of it, because the managers care more about the management staff than they do the workers.

Just pointing this out, but Lays Sour Cream and Onion are garbage. Old Dutch or Loads Of(No Frills brand in eastern Canada) are my go to. Sadly my grocery store sold out of Ketchup chips.

and that's a fair point. Not everyone is a fan of gummies. When they are too soft, I like to put them in the freezer for a couple hours to harden them up. Same deal with candy like Warheads.

I'd suggest looking into Sour Patch Kid Extreme as well. It has a very different taste than regular sour patch kids.

I like to mix it with other condiments. Hot sauce in particular.

Mom gave me a Body Works ginger shampoo for Christmas that has been working wonders for my scalp. It isn't perfect, but I guarantee it works better than Head and Shoulders/Selsun Blue. For the first time in a very long time I'm not scratching my head all the time.

The problem isn't wages imo. The problem is that there aren't enough shifts to cover a livable wage. So you may get paid enough to afford a decent apartment, but your work won't supply enough hours, and then proceed to get pissed off with you if you try and get a second job to supplement your income. Meanwhile, they have people calling into work all the time saying they are sick when they just wanted to hang out with friends.

What's even more messed up are some of the laws regarding income support. I know in one of my earlier meetings they were willing to help me with my wages while going to school, but I had to be living by myself with no roommates, I wasn't allowed to work more than 20 hours a week and they were only willing to give me 400 dollars a month in compensation. In their eyes I had to starve to get their measly 400 dollars, which doesn't cover my expenses. So I'd have my personal expenses which amounted to 13/1400 a month CAD, plus my college, and at most I would have gotten around 1200 total from all sources.

What's even more messed up is that a lot of these places don't consider internet as an essential service, so my college courses, which were to be done all online, I wouldn't able to claim the internet. I'd have to go to my parents house or a library to attend 8-10 hour classes.

I managed to get into a program covering all expenses while I go to college, so that worked out in my favor.

yeah, its kind of bullshit. I've seen job postings for secretary work which I could easily do, but they ask for something stupid like a 3 year administration college course. For a secretary.... I could understand if it was something difficult, but the job description only had you answering emails, filing things and basic scheduling.

they do, and those people choose to not show up, because people under the age of 23 imo are immature and don't know the meaning of actually working. They would rather hang out with their friends or skip work than earn money. Not all of them, there are a handful of good people, but when 1 bud falls off the tree, others follow because they don't want to do extra work.

Again... read my previous message. Those people are the same people that actively call in to work sick. We would have 16 people scheduled for work, only 6 would show up.

Where I come from, and this is just my area, its not meant as a form of closeness from a loved one. It's more or less a greeting. For example "My dear, I don't know what your talking about, but you've lost your mind.", or "My Dear, you can't beat that with a frozen rabbit". Or "How are you doing today, my dear?". No one uses it to talk to talk about loved ones.

Anyone who uses self-checkouts is essentially providing these companies with free labour. If you don't have an issue with that, good for you. I do. Walmart is not my friend, I'm not running a register for them for free.

As someone who has worked retail for nearly 10 years, finally quitting this year, your judgement is very flawed. Those positions were never there to begin with. If you want to blame anyone for the self checkouts being a thing, blame cashiers who decide to call in sick to work even when they aren't sick. Self checkouts were put in place to replace those idiots who don't show up for work.

And you don't lose positions, you actually gain multiple positions are people have to watch over the self registers. So while you lose 4-6 regular cash registers, of which only 2 people will show up for work, you gain 2-3 people watching over those self registers, 2-3 times a day.

It also helps to alleviate stress on lineups during later hours when cashiers are getting ready to go home. At my old work, where we didn't have self registers, we had to serve everyone in the store before we could leave. That means we might be working up to 1/2 hour past our shift end before we get to go home. Having self registers there, means the cashiers get to go home closer to their end of shift.

I didn't find Juggernauts look to be too bad in Deadpool 2. It wasn't perfect, but it certainly wasn't bad.

I don't know much about Pence, is he as bad as Trump? From the little I saw of him on the news it didn't seem like he was a dumb person, unlike Trump.

Of the 3, probably 1. Though I have always been a fan of the weird Jar Jar rumors where he was supposed to be the so called ultimate sith lord, which then explains a bunch of things in the earlier movies. Mind you this was before everything was explained in episode 2 and 3.

No one should say Hope. Hope had some character development. Vaan on the other hand, actually devolved as a character as the game progressed. The main driving focus of him going on an adventure was to avenge his brother, but that was only mentioned a handful of times before it was never spoken about again. Then he becomes essentially a Britany Spears backup dancer, because even in his own game he becomes a backup character.

I realize Ashe was supposed to be the main character, but she wasn't even introduced until 1/4 way through the game, and even her motivations were barely spoken of, or acted upon. I argue they should have pulled a Laguna with her and had side stories with her at vital points of the main game, until she joins the main roster, where she has a lot more driving force against the main antagonist.

I wouldn't suggest that. Dragon Quest 7 has a section which takes forever to finish. You could finish 13 in the time that it takes to finish that one section of DQ 7. And for the record, 13 isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's loads better than the original version of 12. Sure 12 might look more beautiful, but the story for 13 is far better than 12s.

I gave it a second shot, friend also had it downloaded. I got used to the controls after a few tries, but its hard as hell. I mean really hard.

Everything else looks great. They have added combinations that I really really like. I like the sliding and even the punch. It's just that one part I don't like. I have nearly 1000 hours into the original, and about 300 into End is Nigh. At least I still have Isaac to look forward to.

Yeah, I tried to get through the 2nd level, I got stuck where you had to duck below 3 saws and then immediately jump over a way too big of a saw and then duck again. It's near impossible. I just gave up on it. Not worth the frustration.

How the fuck did you not know it was an auto runner? When it was announced it was stated to be an auto runner. If you watch videos of it, it is obviously an auto runner.

If you don't like auto runners, why did you buy it?

If you didn't know somehow that it is an auto runner... why would you ever buy a game without any research at all?

3 words. SUPER MEAT BOY. That alone was reason enough to try it. And no, I didn't know it was an auto-runner. I've been too busy with College, me being the selfish prick that I am. The fact that its less skill based and more timing based just frustrates me. I already asked Nintendo for a refund. Going to spend that money on something else, probably Smash Brothers.

I wouldn't consider Isaac or SMB to be shitty, but hey, to each their own. I'd just suggest to people to go out and grab The End is Nigh if they are looking for an original SMB style game.

Yes, I get that the original was hard. But the original also allowed you to control your movement. So if you screwed up on a jump it was because you screwed up on it. You had the option to attempt the jump again, and practice that way. I know I sound like a child, but its a bit ridiculous when you think of how SMB and End is Nigh played compared to this.

If I want to practice an area of the level, to get decent at it, I don't have that option. I have to finish the level or force a death on myself. I like having control of my character. Maybe its just me, but the auto runner isn't done as well as games like Bit Trip Runner or even Jetpack Joyride.

It came out today, and its hot garbage. I'm not the best Meat Boy player, but even I can finish the first world without any deaths. 1st level of this game 12 deaths. And its not because the game is hard. It isn't hard. But its an auto runner, like Jetpack Joyride. Just not as fun. I'm dying to really stupid things. like for example, one part you have to force your character to slide down a wall, just so he can turn around so you can get access to the wall behind him. It's really stupid.

Wait until the Steam version comes out, and someone patches out the forced auto runner.

I hear that. Meanwhile my manager at Walmart(when I was still working there, I'm not anymore thank god), literally opened the floodgates faster than any other store in the province. To put it in some perspective, while other stores were doing 50/60 people limits on capacity, my Wal-Mart was letting 150 people in. When the amount of other stores increased to 100, our store increased our limit to 800 people. Yeah, you had to wear a mask, but my boss wasn't enforcing it as much as he should have.

And what pissed me off the most, is they had the nerve, the audacity to get pissed off at me when I told a couple of my friends in a private conversation to avoid Wal-Mart during peak hours. They only found out because someone who was part of the message group, who wasn't my friend, took a screen shot and sent it to my boss. They actually threatened to fire me because of that. I kept my mouth shut because I needed to leave with good standings.

I laugh about it now, because after I left, literally the entire department quit right after me and they couldn't find people to fill the department.

The only thing you should think about smoking is your own food. You don't need to smoke cigarettes or cigars or use vapes.
