both are going to have similar supply issues with the biggest difference lying in temperature. they're both mRNA so they're sharing one of if not THE most difficult parts of the supply line, which is upscaling a new type of vaccine that's only been meant for lap work to global mass production. they're both screwed on this so ultimately, this won't really be a factor.

i mean Moderna should be easier just because it only needs normal refrigeration levels compared to at least a constant supply of dry ice. that'll enable transport to be MUCH easier every step of the way but just don't expect this to have that much of an impact compared to just making a constant supply.
Pfizer said they are probably fine at much higher temps but they played worst case scenario in their report.

Theres only so much they can make in a short time. Both of their vaccines were ultra-effective, so either one in great. But without continuously getting supply from both, its going to either take longer to get people vaccinated or well be supplementing with another vaccine instead, which will likely be worse (Id certainly rather have Pfizers than AstraZenecas).
I think they said they have enough doses for 20 million people basically over the first month. 20 million + the 10+ million already infected is a very sizable chunk to end the spread, especially when you figure about 50% of the population is going to refuse to take it anyways. In all honesty, having everyone take the same one probably is better, however. It is what it is.

Walmart pulled the PS5 from their website. This points to a potential restock.
They pulled Xbox also. The problem is Walmart is now openly selling them in store. So, I don't know how much I would expect the online restock. There is tons of people posting pictures of getting PS5s and Xboxes from Walmart over the past couple of days.

Whoa, they didn't ignore the virus for very long though. Once it became clear that the whole thing couldn't be swept under the rug, they flipped from denying its existence to quarantining a whole city almost overnight.
And, then when they realized the economic destruction, they went back to ignoring it. I mean, unless you believe they have had 30 cases total since March or whatever.

It would have fallen either way, but yes the economic damage (not to mention the loss of life) would have been considerably less if we had gotten a reliable and widely distributed test as quickly as South Korea, which we should absolutely have been able to do with the greatest reservoir of scientific talent in the world.
You could argue that ignoring the virus has worked well for China, who is the leading recovering economy from it at the moment.

I believe he said a couple days after the election that he didn't see the point of the lawsuits or their potential to make a difference. It's not very surprising.

The one woman's claim did make sense as an issue, but the Republican representative destroyed her claim by pointing out the voter rolls would be off if that happened and they were not.

It doesn't matter though. Republicans want to hear what they want to hear. My social media is flooded with links to these testimonies and outrage over the election. I suppose that was the point? I don't know the long run aim. I guess a Trump 2024 run. But, it doesn't make sense to me either unless it is Ivanka or a son running.

This sums it up perfectly.

https://tinyurl.com/y6ptjoyg

The thing is that both sides do this shit and both sides act like it's normal and right when they do it. I don't have a problem with ushi being a twitter/reddit conspiracy theorist if he isn't going to scoff when people make the exact same conspiracies in reverse.

Notice how much certain people in this topic think Democrats have won every last debate and such and the loops they jump through to try and make the other side seem unvotable for.

Now, you even seen how he tried to deflect and scurry away without acknowledging the fact from his initial claim. The big bad conservative called out his conspiracy. They are obviously arguing in "bad faith". "Disingenuous". "Gaslighting". Or whatever else nonsense flavor of the week word they use to try to run and hide from topics.

The point is that people who call out stuff in this topic make excuses for their party nonstop regarding things and criticize nonstop the same stuff in reverse. How do you not see the hypocrisy in it? Be consistent. Or I guess just keep making excuses to run away from acknowledging it whenever called out on it. I guess.

Like, Ushi posited that she was wearing a "wire" and hid her side of her face the entire debate to get help on answers.... When wearing a "wire" for that reason would make absolutely zero sense. C'mon, bro. You can't be that silly.

I guess if you lack common sense. Ushi's claim is that she is wearing a "wire" to be funnelled responses and purposely wouldn't turn her head the entire night until she accidentally slipped up to not expose it. When there is absolutely no reason to wear a "wire" for that purpose when she could just wear an earpiece for those means.

There is nothing obtuse or hilarity involved in it. It is literally people arguing the same stupid shit in reverse and trying to find reasons to justify it rather than looking in a mirror and being like "Yeah, I am just as much of an idiot as the people I accused of being one".

I get it's your team now so it's hard justify the whole way to not seem contradictory and like a hypocrite but anyone can tell this is literally the same dumb hysterics in reverse.

I will admit to a confirmation bias since I believed this to be the case while watching her, but there's a lot of circumstantial evidence to support the wire here!

Also very noteable that Rs were trying to claim Biden needed a wire in order to be competent in the debate, while Loeffler wearing a wire is being used to explain why she was so awful. It looks better for her if her performance can be blamed off of being fed her statements, lol.
Probably the dumbest reason for it to be a wire is that unless she is recording someone, why would she literally be wearing a wire? They make earpieces. I mean, it's just a picture of her hair and you are being a conspiracy theorist like a random ass Trump supporter you mock

COVID-19 has caused an increase of break-up/divorce. While a good portion of it was due to previous problems that was exasperated by the lock-down some of it was caused by the difference in opinion towards COVID both for themselves and towards handling their children.

Is there any way you can reach a compromise? Like even getting her to wear a mask in public and avoid touching her face or yourself until after she washes her hands will go a long way in reducing your risk. Ignoring the COVID part, being that dismissive of your feelings towards something you find important is a bit of an issue going forward.
She wears a mask at work and to go places if they require it. She just complains about it a lot. Her family and co-workers feed her nonsense all day though. It's hard to get through to her.

The other day I had to explain to her she was using white supremacist sources and Sandy Hook deniers as sources. She was just like "They say everyone is racists nowadays if you don't agree with them, so who cares what they say." I mean, she did have a point there but... It shows you the information being fed to her nonstop that I am up against. It's tough.

For example, this was a conversation yesterday.

Her: "I'm furious. People at work have covid and they won't tell us who!"

Me: "They really can't because of HIPAA. It's not really their choice"

Her: "It's bullshit. I just went to see my grandmother and my mother just last night. If they would die, I am suing them. They are assholes. They don't care if people's families die. Just that we go to work. Fuck them."

Me: "I mean, that isn't on them. That is on you."

Her: "How?"

Me: "I mean, it isn't your workplace's fault that you continue to ignore medic guidance from the CDC and state health officials and governor orders. If you gave it to your mother or grandmother, that is actually your fault for flaunting the guidelines, not them. You could sue them all day, but you would be found at fault for that, not them."

Her: "Fuck you. Seriously. Fuck you. Asshole."

While it will help, the US is too polarized for any president to convince the skeptics to take the vaccine. You pretty much need bi-partisian approval from many prominent politicians at both the federal and state level to convince anyone who isn't a huge anti-vaxer.
Yeah. It's a wrap for a lot of America. They are just ignorant and oblivious. My fiancee for example refuses to get a vaccine, refuses to follow any orders to not see people outside of our household, and complains about wearing masks every chance she gets. I have zero doubt she will get me killed right before I can get a vaccine. She doesn't care though and won't until someone in her family succumbs to it. And, unfortunately, without that happening she will point to it all being overblown and me being a scaredy-cat otherwise.

So, I mean, what can you do? I am not like Red. I don't wish tragedy on people to feel superior. It is frustrating though.

I think there is no way there won't be enough vaccines by April. What concerns me is that so many seem dead set against the vaccine and Biden seems to be hard against mandating it. He could easily tie requirements in.
