SCOTUS is a reactionary body so we'll only see it ruled by them if a president ever pardons themselves.

I wasn't speaking just to that, even the fact that a president can pardon his own associates is an issue.

We really need some rules around presidential pardon powers.

Wizards of the Coast shut their forums down back in 2012. There is overhead and liability associated to running forums that a lot of companies just don't feel like dealing with.

Prop 65 is one of those things that had good intentions but went way overboard in execution.

Nah is wrong. There arent that many religious people here (quite the opposite) for that many people to believe there isnt life elsewhere. Only religion would say that were the only ones. Science would say the exact opposite. Its believed were only here because the right requirements existed for us to be. If thats true, there is life elsewhere. If theyre in an older part of the universe, theyre millions of years ahead of us. They would have gone through all the same periods we did, since all the same materials exist universally. They might even have some we dont.

The question isn't if aliens exist though, it was have them been in contact with Earth. I'm sure there is some form of life somewhere out there, but that is entirely different from them having been in contact with us.

I liked the first one when it first came out and it has aged better than some, but some parts definitely haven't aged well.

I have no interest in seeing the new one.

There used to be an arcade at Disney World called Disney Quest that had a $15 daily admission but all the arcade games were on freeplay. It was awesome.

My favorite part of Disney Quest was the virtual Pirates of the Caribbean game.

We didn't cosplay for our wedding but all of our music was from video games. I know we had Chrono Trigger, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, but there may have been some Zelda in there as well.

I do miss arcades. My dad was big into pinball so I pretty much grew up going to arcades.

Yeah, the specific individuals at the schools were also punished, they just weren't rich and famous so they attracted a lot less attention.

Usually when the batteries begin to fail and it ends up costing as much to replace the batteries as to buy a new tool with a battery.

I tossed my old 20V string trimmer because a replacement battery was $100 and a new, more powerful 40V string trimmer was $120.

The price of battery packs can be ridiculous. I was looking at a reciprocating saw where a second battery pack was $179.

I only have functional pillows.

I generally follow the same rules for tools as I do for computer upgrades. If what you currently have adequately covers the majority of your most common tasks, you probably don't need an upgrade.

With Kevin Sorbo? I remember enjoying that show when it was first on. It kind of fell apart and got a little stupid near the end. At least that's what I seem to remember about it.

Yeah, it started with a good premise but it really went off the rails in the later seasons.

In a lot of cases if they actually go to court it would be ruled as ok, but frequently it is a case of a large company bullying a smaller company where it really isn't feasible to go to court. Even with larger companies it is sometimes just easier to change a name rather than slog it out in court, like Ubisoft changing the name of Gods and Monsters because of a challenge from Monster Energy.

No, always seemed like a terrible idea for a show in the first place.

That was always a favorite of mine as a kid.

I haven't read those novels in years and I suspect I probably wouldn't enjoy them nearly as much now as I did then.

He had pancreatic cancer, tried to fight it, and apparently he lost. Kudos for him for trying to fight it.

He gave it a good fight. He was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in March of last year and managing over a year while still being able to work at his age is pretty damn impressive.
