I'm launching mine right now to check it out, on the switch. Yeah it's working fine. What exactly is your issue? And yes I have the bl2 version that was part of the legendary collection.

It says "the software was closed because an error occurred"
Apparently I've read online that it has something to do with the newest DLC? Which is why people say to install it while holding L to prevent downloading it? But it won't work for me.

I've read tons of posts about it since like October, and watched Youtube videos and the only responses I see are, "maybe it'll get patched one day," or "hold L while you install the game" (which I've done like 5 times, each time wasting 2 hours of my life reinstalling at no avail).

Is there any other trick? Is my version (the version that came with Borderlands and the Prequel game) different than just buying just Borderlands 2 on the Switch store?

As someone who has worked retail for nearly 10 years, finally quitting this year, your judgement is very flawed. Those positions were never there to begin with. If you want to blame anyone for the self checkouts being a thing, blame cashiers who decide to call in sick to work even when they aren't sick. Self checkouts were put in place to replace those idiots who don't show up for work.

And you don't lose positions, you actually gain multiple positions are people have to watch over the self registers. So while you lose 4-6 regular cash registers, of which only 2 people will show up for work, you gain 2-3 people watching over those self registers, 2-3 times a day.

It also helps to alleviate stress on lineups during later hours when cashiers are getting ready to go home. At my old work, where we didn't have self registers, we had to serve everyone in the store before we could leave. That means we might be working up to 1/2 hour past our shift end before we get to go home. Having self registers there, means the cashiers get to go home closer to their end of shift.

I worked in grocery for 10 years as well, and I disagree with everything in this post.

Is Amityville 2. It's definitely NOT Terminator 2. Terminator 2 is an overblown, big budget, hollow action film that wipes clean the perfect subtlety and tone from the original film - which more strongly resembled a thriller than an action film.

Amityville 2 is so drastically better than the first. The first Amityville film, although being an independent film, was definitely a cash grab based off of the success of the novel. Admittedly the soundtrack was okay, and some of the acting was okay (namely Rod Steiger and James Brolin) - but otherwise the film is just a steaming hot pile of mediocrity. I could attempt to blame its mediocrity on the fact that it's only PG -- but it's actually rated R, and you know what horror/horror-adjacent films WERE PG? Poltergeist, The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane, Return to Oz, Gremlins, Invasion of the Body Snatchers -- films that are all better in literally every single way.

But Amityville 2? Fuck that film is fantastic, aside from the pacing getting weird a little bit in the slow second act. The first half of the film is so gritty. The verbal abuse and violence feels so real and is acted fantastically. The bits with the brother and sister are actually slightly unsettling. The practical effects in the third act were almost on par with all the other Italian horror films in the '80s.

Yikes. Honestly makes me wonder if she herself was the one who actually did those things to her son...

Yeah - it's way worse than the other cases mentioned in here.
It's hard to explain because I think with Castro and Fritzl there were probably some conflicting feelings with their depravity/lust and an eventual desire to take care of/nurture their victims?
What Blair did was straight up perpetual torture for their entire childhoods. She never pretended to act lovingly towards any of her children aside from the one, she didn't feel any guilt for anything she did, and their development wasn't arrested at adulthood -- they weren't even allowed to develop period. Plus the supposed acts of the kids are equally as bad and make the whole situation immensely icky.

Can I have a summary of the cases mentioned itt? Or are there documentaries about them??

This woman was molested as a kid. Had four kids. Told her 4 kids the worst thing you can do is rape someone else. One of her kids came to her saying his butthole hurt, accusing his older brother of raping him. She thought he was a frequent bed wetter, but he said his brother actually would sodomize him and pee on him afterwards -- then shove his face into the tarp they put on his bed for the supposed bedwetting. She beat the hell out of her son, strangled him, threw burning water on his genitalia, and then suffocated him in a plastic bag. He ended up dying and she just stored him in a walk-in freezer.
Awhile later her son came to her saying that his older sister was now molesting him, too -- sitting on his face with an unwashed butt, etc. She did a lot of the same stuff to her daughter that she did to her son she had tortured, but also starved her daughter, too. She ended up killing her daughter as well and put her in the freezer on top of her brother.
She was able to get away with everything for awhile, because she somehow got the clearance to "homeschool" her kids and tried to cut off ties to all family members.

the second one actually takes time to develop some of these characters and make them stand out more
and it has the most badass nun in movie history in it

Like I'm legitimately shocked because I honestly used to think it was a well made movie that I just so happened to dislike due to some directorial decisions.
But no - I don't even think it's a well made movie. If I had to call one film in the history of film pretentious -- it'd be Requiem.

Wow You went from talking about one of the worst contemporary movies to one of the best

I don't get it? Which are you saying is the worst, and which one the best?

I can appreciate what it did, but "Look how horrible this is." just isn't a good art style.

I'm totally fine with depressing films. I love shock cinema. I love melodrama. I love it when something manages to be both.
But I don't think this film was really effective at either.
