1. Tax returns aren't being processed until February 12th.

2. The official IRS online filing form doesn't open until January 25th.

3. Filing through 3rd parties is a nice way to get fucked over in transmission. Look at the subset of Turbo Tax/H&R Block people who didn't get stimulus checks last year because the IRS accidentally sent the checks to the filing companies instead of the taxpayers. Now those taxpayers have to file to recover their checks this year.
