There are definitely people like Vlado who get off on purposely not having knowledge or experience. Being detached or purposely disengaged is worn as a badge of distinction among a lot of people. But it's easy to conflate the "Who?"s with the "Ha, I don't waste my time on this shit, and I get off on saying so"s. I tend to not engage either, personally, but I also don't mind looking something up on Google if I'm not sure what it is. I think, as much as I hate to say it, that you have to judge the comment by the user. If it's someone that often enjoys intentionally currying clout in their own minds by being disaffected by the world, then you know they're not asking because they actually give a shit. This post is something else. Imagine thinking that not knowing the identity of Jake Paul means that someone is disaffected by the world, let alone that they get off on it. I fully admit that I get off on not knowing who Jake Paul is, but not because I revel in disengaging from the world or even pop culture.
