https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9029729/Lena-Dunham-slips-bikini-reveals-pandemic-brought-feelings-self-loathing.html

Lena Dunham slipped into a bikini as she declared she was 'self-isolating with my pot belly' in a candid Instagram post on Monday. The former Girls actress, 34, showed off her cleavage and numerous tattoos in the black two-piece for the make-up free snap, with the star admitting the pandemic had brought back 'feelings of self loathing towards her body.' She wrote: 'Oh hey, just self-isolating with my pod, aka my pot belly and my sunglasses. 'You know Ive been thinking a lot about my pot belly in quarantine- especially as I notice an unusual amount of articles with titles like how I lost the weight and diet is everything. 'Are there more of them or do I just have more time to notice? Somehow, headlines that used to roll off my flesh rolls sting in a new way- not because I think thats the body Im meant to have, but because it feels like its adding yet another item to the epic to-do list we are all creating for ourselves in Covid- you know the one: Now that I cant be in the world, maybe Ill finally... take up karate... build my own furniture... grow geraniums... But for most people pandemic life has not proven to be a break from the world or themselves. 'And so the list grows, the items remain unchecked, and the suggestion of a revamped clean eating plan in my newsfeed somehow feels like a personal assault.

She said: 'Growing up chubby, fat, thicc, whatever you wanna call it- I always felt my body was a sign that read Im lazy and I have done less. 'Like if I just found the will to invest 30% more I could be okay. Over the years, as my body guided me through my career and illness and disability, I started to appreciate what it was capable of. 'But somehow, this pandemic time has brought back some of those old feelings of self-loathing and I think it all comes back to that damned to-do list, the one that started when we went into lockdown. 'Should I be revamping my fridge with veggies and showing off before/after pics, emerging from quarantine with a revenge body? And why, after all these years spent fostering self love, do I still feel like weight loss is an item for my to-do?

A Nevada hospital is now in crisis mode as coronavirus cases surge across the country. Health care workers at the Renown Regional Medical Center have resorted to treating patients in the hospital's parking garage. "Our frontline caregivers are seeing things that they never would have imagined," Tony Slonim, the president and CEO of Renown Health, told CBS News. For Slonim, COVID-19 is personal. "This condition took my father's life," he said. "We couldn't be there for him, but I know as a former ICU doctor that they were there comforting him." On the day Slonim's father died, the field hospital opened. In just the last three weeks, 265 people have been treated there.

"Nobody who has gone into medicine ever thought they would be providing care in a parking garage," said Jacob Keeperman, an intensive care unit doctor at Renown Health. Keeperman had just moved to Reno to start working there and manage the field hospital when he tweeted a picture before it opened. In the caption, he said, five people had died in 32 hours and everyone was struggling to keep their head up. Some tweeted it was fake and one of those tweets was retweeted by President Trump. "Would any hospital want to show that they are operating out of a parking garage if it wasn't real? People's loved ones are dying every day," said Keeperman. Janet Baum, the field hospital's nursing manager, said she has not seen anything like this from the time she's worked in health care. "Never in my wildest nightmares would I ever have thought that we would ever see something that would be killing this many people," she said.

TopicNatalie Portman says being sexualized at 12 took away from her own sexuality.

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/natalie-portman-sexualized-media-age-12-sexuality-214351620.html

The Oscar-winning actress appeared on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, and talked about being sexualized at a young age. Portman, now 39, broke out at age 12 in Lon: The Professional and starred in Beautiful Girls two years later. She opened up about the effects of being portrayed as a Lolita figure in the press early on and the coping mechanism she used to combat it. Shepard, who is six years older than the actress, explained on his podcast how he loved Portman growing up, but that he has some complicated feelings about that. The premise of Beautiful Girls is [actor] Timothy Hutton gets infected with this cute girl whos precocious and wiser than her years and theres something whimsical about it, Shepard recalled. Theres some pretty things, and theres some complicated, dicey things, and now I dont know that movie gets made. Theres so many layers to it there were times I was like I shouldnt be so in love with this girl, but Timothy Hutton is. Thats not a new concept for Portman. I was definitely aware of the fact that I was being portrayed mainly in kind of journalism around when the movies would come out as this Lolita figure and stuff, she replied. The actress, who is releasing a childrens book of gender inclusive fables, has previously touched on the consequences of being a female child actor.

In a stirring speech at the 2018 Womens March, she said the first fan mail she received after The Professional was a rape fantasy a man wrote her. Being sexualized as a child, I think, took away from my own sexuality because it made me afraid, Portman told Shepard. It made me feel like the way I can be safe is to be like, Im conservative, and Im serious, and you should respect me, and Im smart and dont look at me that way. Whereas, like, that age you do have your own sexuality, and you do have your own desire, and you do want to explore things, and you do want to be open, but you dont feel safe, necessarily, when theres, like, older men that are interested and youre like No, no no no no no. Portman said she built fortresses around her to feel safe. So many people I think had this impression of me that I was, like, super serious, and prude and conservative, she continued. I realize I consciously cultivated that because it was ways to make me feel safe. Oh, if someone respects you theyre not going to objectify you. It worked out, luckily, the activist added. I mean, I was safe. Shepard noted how her career path was almost opposite of a Disney star who tries to reclaim their sexuality later on. Its totally true and its so weird because its, like, I was auditioning for all that stuff too and I never got it as a kid. I always got the dark, kind of sexy, young girl role, Portman laughed, saying shed try to audition for a cereal commercial and theyd be like, No way.

As COVID-19 ravaged Mexico, claiming the lives of over 100,000 peopleresulting in one of the worlds highest mortality ratesthe organizers of Art With Me were undeterred, staging its third annual edition from Nov. 11-15. I have nothing good to say about this event, says Michelle, who is using an alias. She is one of several people we spoke with who say they contracted COVID-19 after attending Art With Me. They served food tooall open barbecue finger food. Everyone was grabbing with their hands, she remembers. All I will say is that there was not one mask and I got more sick than I ever did in my entire life after that party. Art With Me offered a number of wellness and art activities during the day; by night, however, it transformed into an electronic music fest, with hordes of maskless people packing into hotels, restaurants, and cenotes (underground caves) to dance to DJ sets. The Daily Beast has observed a number of videos from Art With Me events showing hundreds of people writhing and flailing along to the music. To make matters worse, many Art With Me attendees appear to have brought the virus back to America. I spoke with Eleonora Walczak, the founder of Checkmate Health Strategies, a private COVID care and testing company operating out of New York City and Miami, who tells me that most of the people she tested positive for COVID over the past few weeks were either people who attended Art With Me or who came into direct contact with someone who did. What Ive seen in my small cohort are people testing positive after coming back from Mexicoparticularly Art With Me in Tulum, Walczak, who is based in Brooklyn, says.

I would say that 60-70 percent of my positives in the last couple weeks in New York City have been a direct result of either people coming back from Art With Me, or who have been directly exposed to someone who attended Art With Me. And I test in Miami as well, and my testers there tell me that a lot of their positives are people coming back from Art With Me.

https://nypost.com/2020/12/07/nyu-student-loses-bid-to-finish-semester-over-covid-19-boat-party/

An NYU student lost her bid to finish out the semester after getting suspended for attending a boat party where coronavirus rules werent being followed, a judge ruled Monday. Freshman Nicole Rosenberg sued the university last week, claiming that it unfairly suspended her for the remainder of the fall semester for attending a boat party that she didnt know ahead of time wouldnt be enforcing COVID guidelines. There is one week left of class. [Rosenberg] has been out for 2 weeks and she needs to return to class in order that she does not lose the of the semester that she has done, Rosenbergs lawyer Karen Edler argued during a Manhattan Supreme Court video hearing Monday. Pending the decision, harm is immediate and it is irreparable, Edler told the judge. But granting the stay undermines NYUs ability to enforce its policy strictly and NYU is enforcing its policy strictly here because its trying to keep the university community healthy and to keep being able to have on-campus classes, NYU lawyer Ira Feinberg responded later in the hearing. Justice Carol Edmead denied Rosenbergs emergency request to allow her to finish the last week of classes since the judge found her lawsuit wasnt likely to succeed. The court is denying an application for an interim stay, Edmead said. The courts view is that the lack of the ability of the petitioner to show likelihood of success on the merits outweighs the irreparable harm factor.

The 18-year-old claimed that she attended the 21-and-over Oct. 15 boat ride only after her two friends she attended with told her the ride would be following mask-wearing and social distancing guidelines. By the time Rosenberg realized people werent following COVID rules on the lower level of the boat, it was too late for her to get off, so she and her two friends stayed on the upper level, where they maintained distancing from others and wore masks. But NYU said it didnt buy Rosenbergs story that she really believed the boat party would be following pandemic guidelines for a slew of reasons including that the cruise wasnt starting until 10:30 at night, it was leaving from a secret port and it would have DJs on board playing music.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/coronavirus-care-home-deaths-washington-b1766950.html

At least seven care home residents died after staff members attended a wedding with more than 300 people, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Seven men between the ages of 70 to 90 with underlying health conditions died at three care homes in Grant County, Washington, after contracting Covid-19 last month, according to a press release from the Grant County Health District. At least four other fatalities from the care homes are pending death certificate reviews, according to NBC News. The health department revealed that it is investigating whether the multiple deaths are linked to a wedding attended by around 300 people, which took place in the state in early November.

It said that some members of staff from the care homes tested positive for coronavirus a few days after the wedding, but had continued to work following the event. In a press release last month, the health department said that the wedding was linked to at least 40 cases of coronavirus, following outbreaks at a school and a care home facility. At the time of the event, weddings in the state were limited to a capacity of 30 people, due to Washington governor Jay Inslees executive order.

https://deadline.com/2020/12/matthew-mcconaughey-russell-brand-slam-hollywood-hypocrites-in-podcast-1234651011/

Matthew McConaughey and Russell Brand have condemned the perceived hypocrisy of Hollywood political views in a raucous podcast. Speaking on Brands Luminary podcast, Under The Skin, earlier this week, the actors attacked those in the entertainment community who are urging Trump supporters to passively give up on hope of overturning the election results. Brand asked McConaughey whether he had noticed a condemnation and criticism of ordinary working people by liberal Hollywood. [There is] a kind of offhandedness, like, Oh, theyre dumb, theyre voting for Brexit, theyre voting for Trump. I dont like it, and I dont like to hear it, Brand said.

McConaughey agreed, saying There are a lot [of people] on that illiberal left that absolutely condescend, patronize, and are arrogant towards the other 50 percent. The sore subject of the 2016 election was also a talking point between the actors. Im sure you saw it in our industry when Trump was voted in four years ago, they were in denial that was real. Some of them were in absolute denial, McConaughey told Brand. That attitude is hypocritical, he contended. [Now] it looks like Bidens our guy. Now youve got the right thats in denial, cause their side has fake news. And I understand, theyve been fed fake news. No one knows what the hell to believe, right? So theyre putting down their last bastion of defense, McConaughey said.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2020/12/03/facebook-ranks-hate-speech-black-over-attacks-white-people-men/3813931001/

Facebook puts a higher priority on detecting and deleting racist slurs and hate speech against Black people, Muslims, Jews, the LGBTQ community and people of more than one race than on statements such as White people are stupid and Men are pigs. The company said Thursday its automated moderation systems are being retrained to focus on hate speech targeting historically marginalized and oppressed groups, which can be the most harmful. We have focused our technology on finding the hate speech that users and experts tell us is the most serious, Facebook spokesperson Sally Aldous said in a statement. The policy shift acknowledges years of complaints that Facebooks hate speech policies disproportionately stifle Black users while failing to protect them from racially motivated harassment. Facebook has been reckoning with its role in systemic racism in the aftermath of George Floyds death. An internal civil rights audit faulted Facebook for prioritizing free expression over nondiscrimination. The audit was released in July as civil rights groups led a massive boycott of Facebook, and nearly 1,000 companies pulled millions of dollars in advertising to protest the spread of hate speech, violent threats and misinformation on Facebook's platforms.

"Over the past year, weve also updated our policies to catch more implicit hate speech, such as content depicting Blackface, stereotypes about Jewish people controlling the world and banned Holocaust denial," Aldous said. "Thanks to significant investments in our technology, we proactively detect 95% of the content we remove, and we continue to improve how we enforce our rules as hate speech evolves over time." Facebook still considers statements about men and white people to be in violation of its hate speech policy, and users can still report these statements, but the companys algorithms will no longer automatically flag and delete them, resulting in about 10,000 fewer posts being removed each day, Facebook said. To elude bans when talking about racism, Black users said they resort to using a white avatar, digital slang such as "wypipo" or "huite" or a cloud emoji as phonetic or visual stand-ins for white people. They operate under aliases and maintain backup accounts to avoid losing content and access to their community. They've developed a buddy system to alert friends and followers when someone has been sent to Facebook jail, sharing the news of the suspension and the posts that put them there.

NBA player DeMar DeRozan saved his kids and neighbor Kylie Jenner from an intruder who broke into their gated community last month, according to a new report. DeRozan was hanging out at his Los Angeles-area home on Nov. 19 when he discovered the stranger upstairs near his childrens room, where one of his two kids was playing, TMZ reported. The 31-year-old Spurs star came face-to-face with the intruder, before chasing him out of the house, law enforcement sources reportedly told the gossip site. But the 6 6, 220-pound forward wasnt enough to deter the creep, and he returned a short time later for what he said was his intended target: Kylie Jenners neighboring mansion. Neighborhood security stopped him and called police, who arrested the unidentified man and charged him with burglary. A judge also issued restraining orders prohibiting him from going near DeRozans and Jenners homes.

A Russian streamer has been detained by police for a sickening live broadcast in which his near-naked, pregnant girlfriend died. The alleged abuse was watched and even encouraged by his online audience. Stas Reeflay allegedly forced his girlfriend Valentina Valya Grigoryeva out into the subzero cold wearing only underwear, The Sun reports. The 30-year-old, whose real name is Stanislav Reshetnikov, was allegedly paid $US1000 by a viewer to inflict this abuse on his girlfriend in the livestream, according to a report by BAZA media. Ms Grigoryeva, 28, who had recently revealed she was pregnant, died at the scene of suspected hypothermia. The case has led to a call in Russia for an urgent ban on such online reality violence which appears unrestricted on YouTube and can be watched by children. Known on YouTube as Drunk Reeflay, he reportedly kept the YouTube camera rolling even as he realised Ms Grigoryeva was half dead after she was put on an exposed balcony.

On the livestream, he was seen to carry her back inside his rented house in Ivanovka village, near Moscow, before trying and failing to revive her. He was heard saying: Valya, are you alive? My bunny, whats up with you? Valya, Valya, damn, you look like you are dead. Bunny, come on tell me something. Im worrying. Damn Im not feeling her heartbeat. He informed his viewers: Guys No pulse Shes pale. She is not breathing. The livestream then continued even when he called an ambulance. On it, he was allegedly heard saying: Wake up, Valya, I love you, wake up. Paramedics were then seen on the livestream arriving and pronouncing her dead. It is believed the broadcast continued for two hours after she had died. In a previous broadcast Mr Reeflay had allegedly sprayed her with pepper spray. The YouTuber reportedly makes money by receiving online donations from his Russian and international audience. A friend said his livestreaming had been full of cruelty towards Ms Grigoryeva. Mr Reeflay has been taken into police custody. He faces up to two years in prison if forensic experts prove she died of hypothermia, say reports citing law enforcement. Feminist activist Liza Lazerson hit out at YouTube for prohibiting the spread of nipples but showing scenes of violence and cruelty against women without problems. The woman dies on air and the audience sends donations to the killer. This must stop, she said. Such videos are calmly broadcast to the whole world, meaning something is broken. Until this is fixed, censorship is necessary.

"There is no society that can survive without strong men," tweeted Candace Owens, a Black political commentator and prominent supporter of Donald Trump. "The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men." Cyrus was among those who decided to show their support for Styles and his decision to proudly rock a dress; however, the words she used to defend the artist immediately sparked outrage. "He wears this dress better than any of u nappy ass heauxz," Cyrus wrote on Instagram. Owens responded to Cyrus' post by pointing out the racist undertones of her word choice. She also questioned whether Cyrus would be canceled, and then called on Miley Cyrus to "come get your sister!"

Cyrus deleted the initial post shortly after it went up and issued a brief apology in an Instagram story. She claimed she wasn't aware that the word "nappy" was racially insensitive and insisted she never intended to offend anyone." "I am mortified that I used a term without knowing the context and history, but I know now and I am horrified and truly sorry," she wrote. "I will never use it again. Thank you for educating me. I in no way meant to offend anyone. I am so so sorry." But it seems Twitter users aren't so forgiving. You can read some of the reactions to Cyrus' comment below.

How exactly is he a bigot? I've watched/listened to many of his lectures and I never came across anything bigoted.

Article goes into detail with the reasons person felt that way.

Its reasonable for employees to argue that Peterson does not meet those standards. After all, he has suggested that gay marriage might be a plot by cultural Marxists, that women wearing makeup in the workplace is sexually provocative, that trans women arent women because theyre not capable of having babies, that women cannot handle truth, and that transgender activists are comparable to mass-murdering Maoists. He peddles debunked scientific theories and dangerously dodgy diets. I have gone through his work myself and shown that he is a crackpot, whose writing is devoid of basic reasoning and full of wild unsubstantiated claims. When Pankaj Mishra wrote a critical review of Petersons work in the New York Review of Books, Peterson called Mishra a prick and said hed slap [Mishra] happily. The things he says are often false, prejudiced and dangerous. What possible obligation does a publisher have to publish the ravings of bigots?

One day after city sheriffs arrested a Staten Island bar owner for openly flouting coronavirus restrictions, hundreds of protesters including Proud Boys and some Republican officials gathered outside the tavern on Wednesday to decry the public health measures. The group waved pro-Trump and Thin Blue Line flags, chanting "Cuomo sucks" and singing Twisted Sister's "We're Not Going To Take It" on the street in front of Mac's Public House. "This is a battle, people," Scott LoBaido, a pro-NYPD activist who organized the demonstration, told the crowd. "This is fucking patriotism." The one-year-old tavern has emerged as the center of Staten Island's anti-lockdown movement in recent days. After declaring Mac's an "Autonomous Zone" last week, the bar's owners have racked up numerous fines and vacate orders from both state and city authorities for ignoring the state's orange zone restrictions, which prohibit indoor dining. The East Shore neighborhood where Mac's is located has a COVID positivity rate of 8.62 percent the highest total in all of Staten Island, and among the worst infection rates of any ZIP code in the city.

The demonstration on Wednesday drew familiar faces from the small but vocal contingent of right-wing New Yorkers opposed to measures aimed at slowing the spread of the virus. Heshy Tischler, an Orthodox radio host arrested for inciting a riot in October, assured the attendees that "Brooklyn stands behind you." Others chanted "Proud Boys in the house," with one speaker reportedly leading the crowd through the group's rallying cry: "I am a proud Western Chauvinist." City Councilman Joe Borelli also addressed the crowd after he tweeted a photo of himself standing in front of a painting of Mayor Bill de Blasio performing a sexual act on an apple. Assemblymember Nicole Malliotakis, who will soon represent the borough in Congress, did not attend the event, but voiced her support on Twitter, accusing Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio of "unfairly punishing constituents for simply trying to lead a normal life." Earlier in the day, State Senator Andrew Lanza was physically restrained by the sheriffs after attempting to push his way into the bar. Video shows him attempting to breach the line of sheriffs, holding a piece of cardboard that he claimed was authorization to represent the owners as their attorney. "Senator Lanza tried to push back deputy sheriffs, and the deputy sheriffs pushed him back out," NYC Sheriff Joseph Fucito told Gothamist. "The deputy sheriffs carried themselves appropriately."

Topic32 y/o walks free from having sex with 14 y/o because she thought he was older

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13372603/woman-cleared-sex-with-teen-boy-14/

A mum today wept uncontrollably as she was cleared of knowingly having sex with a 14-year-old boy. Teah Vincent, 32, had admitted she initiated sex with the teen at her Gloucestershire home but said she thought he was over 16. The court heard the boy and a fourteen year old pal had been playing football near her home before the mum-of-three invited them in for a drink. Jurors were told she had taken one of the boys upstairs to her bedroom where they had sex. She told the court yesterday: "Im sure he told me he was 16 and I felt he looked much older. It didnt occur to me that he might be under age. He definitely didnt tell me he was in Year Nine, or that he was only 14, before we had sex." Her defence told the jury: "Can you be sure he told her she was 14 before they had sex or had he lied about his age? "Youd be hard pressed to find a young teenager who doesn't wish they were a few years older."

After just one hour and four minutes a jury of eight men and four women today found her not guilty of knowingly having sex with an under-age boy. The mum burst into floods of tears, before she was discharged by Judge Ian Lawrie QC. The verdict came after the court heard the boy had given a false date of birth on his Facebook profile. A screenshot was showed of the teen's profile, with his date of birth set as 2000 - making him appear much older than his actual age. The youth was recalled to the witness box and explained he had entered the false date of birth after being given a new phone for his 13th birthday. He said he received a phone a week ahead of his birthday so I put in a false date of birth because you have to be 13 to access Facebook. This was because I wanted to access games and other things straight away. I chose 2000 because 2001 or 2003 was disorganised. I forgot to change it when I got older. I could have waited six days before I became 13 to register with Facebook, but I chose to be 16 almost 17, for Facebook purposes. Defence barrister Catherine Flint, in her final speech to the jury before they retired to consider their verdict, said: You have heard a lot about Ms Vincents behaviour on that Sunday. "You may have formed a view that her behaviour was morally questionable. However your role is not to make moral judgements, but to decide if she broke the law." In his summing up to the jury before they retired to consider their verdict Judge Ian Lawrie QC told them: The issues in the case are straightforward. It comes down to the question of the boys age.

https://gothamist.com/food/report-being-restaurant-worker-during-pandemic-even-worse-you-think

Customers have demanded that female food service workers remove their own masks so they could see their faces and implicitly determine their tips on that basis, according to the report titled Service Workers Experience of Health & Harassment During COVID-19. More than 250 of the survey respondents shared representative comments from customers: Pull that mask down so I can see if I want to take you home later, and Take off your mask so I can stick my tongue down your throat. Other workers said they experienced sexually-explicit hostility from customers. One man actually said: 'I dont wear a condom; I sure as hell arent going to wear a mask!'" Another customer reportedly said, Oh, social distancing, so I cant touch you anymore, huh?

Food service workers are also in the awkward position of endangering their tips if they annoy or anger the customer while enforcing mask and social distancing policies, the report said, with 78% of the surveyed workers reporting hostile behavior from customers when staff try to enforce COVID-19 safety rules. A majority of the surveyed workers67%said they received smaller tips after enforcing such protocols on customers. Most workers who responded to the survey report that their tips have declined significantly with the pandemic, and that this decline in tips is exacerbated when they attempt to enforce COVID-19 safety protocols on customers. As a result, these workers report that they are reluctant to enforce safety protocols for fear of losing more tips, the report states. Other risks the report found include repeated exposure to people flouting safety rules, with 84% of surveyed workers reporting being within six feet of at least one person who is not wearing a mask in every shift, and 33% report being within six feet of 30 or more maskless people on every shift. Nearly all respondents, 89%, said their employer is not consistently following COVID safety protocols. The One Fair Wage advocates say the report highlights the challenges facing food service workers, who already have to deal with increased exposure to the coronavirus, economic insecurity, and high rates of job loss during the pandemic. They call for paying all food service workers a full minimum wage with fair and non-discriminatory tips, so that they're not vulnerable to harassment for their livelihood.

An elementary school student killed himself while in his distance learning class late Wednesday morning, the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Office confirmed. Deputies confirm the 11-year-old boy was in his Zoom class with his microphone and camera off when he took his own life. His sister, who was distance learning in another room, found him and alerted a neighbor and her teacher, who helped call authorities. The sheriffs office said deputies responded to the 300 block of Sterling Street in the community of Woodbridge just after 11 a.m. to investigate a reported shooting. At the scene, a young boy with a head injury was found. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital with his parents by his side. He later died from his injuries.

Paul Warren is the special education director for the Lodi Unified School District. He oversees mental health services within the district. Sometimes we go through things that are temporary emotional experiences and with the support of family and other trained people we can get through those things. Its tragic. Everybodys has been impacted by this, Warren said. Renee Bond, a licensed clinical counselor, works directly with children. I think its really time as a society that we start investing in wellbeing and mental health, Bond said. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline offers suggestions to help: ask for help, make a safety plan, and look for warning signs. Bond says there could be several warning signs someone is in trouble. Withdrawing is one of them. When you listen to them talking and theyre talking about hopelessness or nobody loves me. You know youre children better than anyone, trust yourself, Bond said.

https://ktla.com/news/local-news/residents-in-city-of-los-angeles-ordered-to-remain-in-their-homes-amid-covid-19-surge/

All residents within the city of Los Angeles were ordered to remain in their homes effective immediately, according to a new emergency order issued Wednesday evening. The previous safer-at-home order was withdrawn and superseded by the new one issued Wednesday, which is necessary for the protection of life and property in the City of Los Angeles, the order states. Non-exempt businesses in the city were ordered to cease operations that require in-person attendance of staff. However, there is a broad list of exceptions for various businesses and workers deemed essential or exempt. People may lawfully leave their residences only to engage in defined essential activities.

All travel, including travel on foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, automobile, or public transit is prohibited. Those experiencing homelessness are exempt from the requirement to stay in their homes. Failure to comply with the order will constitute a misdemeanor subject to fines and imprisonment, according to the document. The mayor urged the Los Angeles Police Department and the city attorney to vigorously enforce this. My message couldnt be simpler, Garcetti said in his earlier briefing. Its time to hunker down. Its time to cancel everything. And if it isnt essential, dont do it.

TopicTikTok users think Dave Chapelle invented Carpool Karaoke years before Corden
Lebronwon

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/did-dave-chappelle-invent-carpool-145957582.html

Dave Chappelle has gotten plenty of credit in 2020. His Netflix special, 8:46, was one of the most-viewed YouTube videos of the year. Chappelle also hosted Saturday Night Live in addition to seeing his popular comedy show added and then removed from Netflix. Now, TikTok users are looking to give Chappelle credit for another, stranger accomplishment: inventing Carpool Karaoke. The celebrity-starring, vehicle-based show is usually hosted by James Corden as part of The Late Late Show, but now, social media users are claiming the idea was stolen from Chappelle. As evidence, several TikTokers have shared a 2003 clip from Chappelles Show. In the video, Chappelle and rapper Yasiin Bey (known as Mos Def at the time) ride together in a car while Bey raps along to one of his songs.

This aired in 2003 !!! Somebody pay the man, user @bliss_blunts captioned their video of the footage. The clip has made the rounds online for years now and has always sparked a debate about how similar the two concepts really are. As many TikTok users pointed out, Bey is only rapping to his own song, whereas Carpool Karaoke contestants often sing songs by other artists as well. Also, on Carpool Karaoke, Corden usually participates whereas, in 2003, Chappelle seemed content to just watch. This is a stretch, recording in the car is cool but its not an invention, one user wrote. Still, other TikTokers praised the Chappelles Show segment, which they called way ahead of its time. Its super surprising to Gen Z that anything was invented before the first time they saw it, one user wrote.

Braunwyn Windham-Burke revealed in a new interview that she identifies as a lesbian. Im still getting used to it I knew I was attracted to women, the 42-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star told GLAAD on Wednesday, December 2. I got married very young and I never thought about it. So, to be 42 Im just now starting to feel like Im becoming the woman I was supposed to be. So, for me to be living completely authentically and say, Im a lesbian. That was who I have always been. This isnt something that is new cause that I think is what a lot of people will think. Oh, suddenly youre one. No, Ive always known it. But it took me personally 42 years to be comfortable enough in my own skin to say that.

Braunwyn previously told Us Weekly exclusively that she was seeing someone special who wasnt her husband of 20 years, Sean Burke. While there has been a lot of speculation about the pair who share Bella, 20, Rowan, 18, Jacob, 15, 7-year-old twins Caden and Curren, Koa, 5, and Hazel, 2 the reality TV star insists that they have no plans to separate. Honestly, we are in uncharted territory. I dont have a role model for this. I dont have anyone to go to for answers, she admitted. So right now, were just doing our own way. You know, Sean and I are still married. I plan on staying married were raising the kids together. Hes my best friend.

On Tuesday , subscribers of Gabi DeMartinos page received a strange message. They were sent a 35-second video clip that they were asked to pay $3 to unlock, accompanied by a message reading, wont put my panties on. When users paid the fee, they were reportedly presented with footage of the YouTuber as a young child in the nude. One of the first people to call attention to DeMartinos activity was Petty Paige, a fellow YouTube influencer who streamed a live video to her 164K followers blasting DeMartino for attempting to sell what she saw as child pornography to unsuspecting fans on the platform. Another YouTuber, Spill Sesh, took to Twitter to demand answers from DeMartino. One of my followers messaged me saying they were a member of Gabis page and had paid for the video and was completely disturbed by what they had received, Spill Sesh tells The Daily Beast. Following an online uproar, deactivated DeMartinos account, with a representative for the subscription platform giving the following statement to The Daily Beast: I can confirm that the account in question was deactivated in violation of Terms of Service. DeMartino, 25, is a popular influencer who boasts 3.24 million YouTube subscribers, 4.4. million Instagram followers, and 1.2 million Twitter followers. And recently, the Ariana Grande look-alike has attempted to cross over into singing. After her account was taken down, DeMartino posted a series of tweets addressing the fiasco. A childhood video of me on the phone sayin Nani says put your panties back on and jumping up and down laughing. Im sorry I didnt think that one through. period. a home-video i love to share w my friends & i use my as a finsta page where i share stuff as i would w friends, she wrote, later adding, The video was a goofy throwback family moment that I wanted to share with my personal fancy babies. I am sorry that this wasnt thought out completely I apologize. The video is down now I am sorry again if this came out wrong.

Alana Evans, an adult entertainer and president of the Adult Performers Actors Guild (APAG), a union representing those in the adult industry, also helped sound the alarm. I have a circle of people who call me when there are 911s, and this was a 911, says Evans. Theres no excuse for that. Apparently, the way she advertised it on her page was that she would get naked, and this is someone who doesnt get naked. And then people clicked on it and its a video of her as a three-year-old child not putting her panties back on? Once she caught wind of it, Evans reached out to a source at who assured her that theyd already taken her page down. I said to them, You guys need to help the authorities so that shes prosecuted. This is unacceptable. Then, she contacted the FBI. Its women like her that do this that make people turn to those of us in the adult industry who would never do something like this, and we take the blame for it, says Evans. Its shocking. Just shocking.
