Aside TCs obvious lack of empathy. I remember as a kid on a disney trip my dad lost the tickets to the last 2 parks we had left for 4 people. He had to buy them again and I imagine that mustve put a huge dent on the available money he had for the trip.

This is in similar vein to what I was originally getting it, but I can also see TC's intended point that there's an apparent absence of financial responsibility and literacy, not necessarily directed against the people in question, but what it is in general.

Not gonna defend it, but with people in general, just don't hold any real expectations for them to make smart decisions. Just figure ways to get past their bullshit sooner.

I've been finding myself doing that more and more to clients without compromising the sense of customer service. Sometimes I'm just frank with pulling up records facts and pretty much spelling out "that thing you were bitching to me about, yeah we put this right in front of you and you had all the power to opt out/change it". I'm not in the business of sneaking things in fine print either. I have to talk most people through since they do and don't think, and I don't want the aftermath hassle. Consumer society can be really fucking stupid. I had a guy tell me before "so you're telling me I fucked up?" Says something if he has to ask...

I only have a vague understanding on the streamer business, and did see her appearance on Graham's channel. Credit for the grind and just being smart about getting money.

But yeah, she lives for nothing. She has to keep up with videogames and nerds on a nonstop basis that I wouldn't be surprised if she suddenly quits. Whatever drama she has is out of some nonsensical shit, both stupid it gets directed to her, and that she gets swirled into it. With her presumed wealth, hope she actually puts it to good use.

I am not high. It's pure observation and respect to probability. In that moment, those people all thought they were making good decisions and having the time of their lives. Maybe as soon as minutes after, some rue and regret it even if they came up to carry out their regular everyday lives. Hell, some of those some people were probably going into that party like "wow I don't feel good" and at the very least got diarrhea or peed in the pool.

It's fascinating what a photo can misleadingly capture. We see people at a party. Journalism and online readers will only read into the political undertones and motivated statements.

But those are lives, some of which may actually be gone since the time of that photo.

Some of those people, right there, in that picture, might not be around next week. It's crazy. They have no idea if they doomed themselves, did drugs, or if life just decided to pack its bags and leave. All they know is that moment, but come next day, who's to say some of them didn't wake up. Someone could've been hit by a car on the way home.

I mean they're having so much fun but it's entirely possible, by mathematical probability, someone became depressed or ill 24 hours after, and the last remains of their existence only exist in this footage.

I'm surprised the voice actor is interested. 20 years of this. I get the whole "I do it for the love of the craft" but the Dark Knight trilogy was good where it sat. Same with BTTF and Scarface as a standalone, and Kenan N Kel not buying into the reunion bullshit.

I think the offensive output of a modern carrier will be superior, but it's not like it has deflector shields. It's still a slow moving oaf in the water that can't maneuver past an array of simultaneous air raids, undersea torpedoes, and surface turrets.

If the modern team can plan in a way that keeps them distant and can keep the enemy showing up all at once, they'd win.

What do these girls look like without face paint? I feel like they might be cuter without looking like porcelain dolls. I like the textures filled in on faces. This is an early model of the game character

I particularly hate the pressure for some people to undergo surgery and bleaching. Makeup still comes along anyway. Not sure if Dayhun is one that had to do it, but at least to some degree there's this standard/metric for aesthetic, and it's a bit disgusting.

I mean for sure there are really pretty girls in the industry, though. It's a shallow form of objecting the human body, yet fascinating thing to measure aesthetic and for all that trouble I guess some respect is paid in admiration. There was an element of obsession, and it could be by the person themselves. There are many ways we can sound like neckbeards about rating girls, but in other countries, they're actually trying to achieve those unnatural ideals of beauty.

Take a stateside girl and her blasting IG with her confidence. Makeup, butt, boobs, yet underdeveloped detail features, mobility, and expressions that weren't practiced. It seems lazy, and probably is because such "models" don't need to go too far to get a desperate audience.

K-Pop artists have an insane body of work to get where they are, regardless of the social ethics.

I had classmate that got murdered during HS. Didn't talk to the guy at all, but the next year, teachers were giving away hardly-used supplies. They threw me notebook. I flipped a few pages, and found out it was his. I still have it somewhere.

He wasn't big on school, but I took whatever he wrote as just where his mind was otherwise.

As a mid-engine car, it will have lift-off oversteer if it wasn't designed thoroughly enough to deal with it, which was the case. Gave the car it's charm of an imperfect, but look-the-part model.

As someone who put that effort in, I agree it was a waste.

As someone doing the hiring, I want to see it. I know how shitty it was knowing how applications and resumes are just a quick glance and misrepresentation. I know a cover letter can be full of shit too, but I'm looking at the quality it was written and seeing how specifically crafted it is. I would consider hiring that person sooner.
