Plenty of reasons really. Simple things often are not simple in retail when you are short staffed dealing with fools and doing more then 1 job at a time. Some people are just so batshit or exhausting to deal with.

Also a lot of the "they forgot my *insert item* is the guest themselves fucking up leaving a bag behind. Had many people leave their drink on the counter after I hand it to them.
Yeah, you can always tell in these topics who has worked retail and who hasnt. It was a big order and I had set the bag in question off to the side(with a big order, you quickly run out of room to bag in, especially if the customer is slow to bring their cart down)and this was during a rush, and the cashiers are speed demons because the company tracks how fast they ring and they get in trouble if they dont ring fast enough.
And of course most customers just sort of stand there either making small talk or looking at you impatiently. The bag wound up going home with the next customer.

That was years ago though, and I didnt even realize it had happened at the time, Im just explaining how stuff like that happens. On the rare occasions that it even does.

Marble Garden and Carnival Night are trash(it's way too long and gimmicky).
Death Egg has some overlong segments where you're just watching or not really doing much(it's like they took inspiration from that for the Adventure games lol), but is otherwise good.
Sandopolis 2 is kind of tedious, and suffers from being a bit long.
Really, that's the one consistent beef I have with 3&K stages: a lot of them are just really long without really needing to be.

This is the third platform I have this on.
Really a fantastic platformer that combines going fast with some pretty good platforming and a rad soundtrack. Pretty much the only bad part in Sonic 2 is Metropolis, where you have those screws that take forever and some pretty cruel enemy placement(f*** that one mantis on the ledge juuuuust out of sight. you have to know it's there to dodge its blades), but then, even Metropolis has lots of good parts too. Oh, and you deserve a special achievement for getting all the chaos emeralds with AI Tails, because that idiot will always screw you. One of the best things Sonic 3 did was just...leave him out of special stages.

I see and hear suffering everywhere I look in the richest country that has ever existed. Everywhere people are oppressed, brutalized, and/or immiserated, and we are supposed to accept this as normal. We're supposed to blame the home-buyers who were defrauded and not the banks which defrauded them. We're supposed to sacrifice our time and health for tyrannical bosses who pay us peanuts and throw us under the bus at a moment's notice, sometimes for no reason at all. We're supposed to accept that getting cancer leads to death or bankruptcy. We're supposed to accept that the candidate who gets less votes is sometimes the winner. That the rich go free while the poor are harshly punished for minor crimes. That not all lives matter, that it's okay for police to routinely administer extrajudicial executions. That 9 unelected judges can decide whether or not you have rights.

I cannot and will never accept it. That's why.

Im not: the only reason the polls got it wrong last time was that they didnt properly weight for education. And, in any case, Hillary lost the four crucial states by a combined 100,000 votes: an almost ridiculously narrow margin. The polls would have to be wildly wrong for Trump to even keep it close(like, several orders of magnitude more wrong),let alone win.

It's centrist Democrats who have continually enabled Trump's government. They cry and scream about how evil Trump is, but then go about business as usual. They're faced with Trump appointing a justice to the Supreme Court at a time when he is openly implying he won't accept the result of the election(if he loses), and their reaction is to just to shrug and throw up their hands.

Also, defining the union of a man and a woman as marriage and a same sex couple as a civil union when theyre literally the same, legally speaking, sounds a bit like theyre separate but equal.
Remind me, but wasnt there a famous SC decision that found that separate cannot be equal?
Seems a lot easier to simply follow the jurisprudence of literally every human society ever and define any such union between individuals as marriage!

The Titans threw positive tests as recently as yesterday. They were able to reschedule Titans-Steelers easily by swapping around the Ravens as well, but if the Titans don't stop throwing positives immediately, they play the Bills next Sunday, then the Bills host the Chiefs that Thursday. There's no room to move that game around, which would create a critical scheduling problem(and, given that both teams are currently 3-0 and made the playoffs last year, it likely has vital seeding implications).

Really, the NFL needs to at least push back the post-season and create a COVID week to make sure it can catch some of these. If the problem worsens, we're looking at needing a stoppage. They never took this as seriously as the other leagues and the other leagues encountered serious issues, this was really only a matter of time.

*touch wood*

But the senate appears to be drifting further and further away from the GOP this cycle

Year started with Maine and Colorado being the only two real pickup opportunities for Democrats

Now you have Arizona and North Carolina lining up to be fairly likely to swing towards Dems

And you have Georgia, Iowa, fucking South Carolina, fucking Mississippi where Democrats are either consistently tied or closed gaps in polling.

2020 is to the GOP in the senate as 2018 was to the Democrats in the senate

they're playing defensive in way too many areas
I really wouldn't put much faith in SC or Mississippi. They're very red, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a thumb on the scale in Georgia, as there was in 2018.
Even so, the Democrats having a good year is simply a drop in the bucket compared to the overall trend, and likely to mostly go to waste, in any case.

I had liver once, and thought it was gross as hell.

I bought a calf heart once. It was like $3 for a pound and a half. Looked gnarly, but I cut out all the blood vessels and cubed it and cooked it up in a pan and it was delicious. The only tip-off it was heart was how devilishly tender it was.

I got tongue from a local Chinese restaurant recently(the high-quality gourmet one) it was tossed in spices and spiralized. It was a little chewy, but deliciously beefy. Would recommend. They have a few other organ meats and otherwise funky dishes(to modern American sensibilities), so Ill definitely have to give them a try.

Okay, I like this topic, I'll make more words...

Futurama - Futurama is a classic that needs no introduction. It'll make you laugh, but it'll also make you cry. And not just from laughter. It was best before revival, but honestly Season 6 felt more like the first 5 at points than the last two. It never actually gets bad, and the finale is actually heart-warming and good and they went straight from the credits to the cold open of the first episode when it first aired, which was perfect. There are just so many great episodes. Lovely show, a bit cynical, but warm-hearted.

Rick&Morty - It is infamous as a meme show, yes, but it's actually really good. The one stumbling block is that Rick is legitimately a monster, and the show really doesn't try to pretend he isn't(I know that turns some people off). It's cynical, even bitter at times, but it's funny and capable of real pathos. It even backs up some of its saddest moments with excellent music, just for that little extra oomph. The Smith family are all developed and all have their short-comings, but they have strengths even Jerry. Sometimes. The show is mostly episodic, but has some serial elements that give it punch. It's not as deep as Venture Brothers or BoJack, but not everything should be.
Like...for example, you probably know that Rick turned himself into a pickle, but do you know why? It was an elaborate ploy to get out of going to family therapy that nearly ends up killing him, because Rick is both too clever by half and an emotional coward.

Adventure Time - The best way to think of Adventure Time is as an antecedent to Steven Universe. In fact, it begins as a funny but unremarkable cartoon, before gradually picking up complexity and eventually becoming fully serial and quite serious. Follow Finn the Human and his brother, Jake the Dog, in their adventures in the land of Ooo which is...suspiciously Earth-shaped? as they battle monsters, rescue Princess Bubblegum from the Ice King who is actually a pre-apocalypse archaeologist cursed by an incredibly ancient magical artifact, deal with the devious Marceline, the Vampire Queen She's not mean, she's just a thousand years old and lost track of her moral code. and battle the evil Lich, who is not funny or a joke and voiced by Ron Perlman. It's a real ride, but it's a real fun one.
