So many little pieces of dialogue Im picking up on now that I thought was meaningless but actually isnt. This is while I dont know a large chunk of the story.

An example is when Rhea explains to me how the Goddess came into the world and how she is the arbiter of all life. She seemed so disappointed I didnt know. The odd thing was I had a choice in dialogue options there between, I didnt know... and My father never told me.

That is strange. There has to be a reason why the father line is there. I think I know why based on a few things I gathered in these topics

So how does it work in the Black Eagle path where you stand with the church, in terms of who stays and who leaves in Part 2? I'm guessing all the adults plus Flayn and Cyril stay, and the students leave? I did kinda want to try an adults run, since I barely use any of them other than Shamir.

Apparently everyone stays with you outside of Edelgard and Hubert? Someone feel free to correct me.

Does she have interest in most of your presents?

No she doesnt but she has an interest in my safety. A gun is a double edged sword for black people. You can use it to protect yourself and it can also be used as an excuse to kill you. So I guess she does have some interest in guns by default since she would not want me owning one.

I guess its similar to how many parents have interests in tattoos when the only interests they have is you not having one.

I must say, starting a new game on a different route has already pulled my back into this game hard. A lot of the basic dialogue is the same but every student being unique fascinates me. I want to learn everything about them. Im getting the same feelings I got on my first run. In fact, its happening faster. Hopefully the 2nd half of the game is much better compared to Crimson Flower

Nope. I never made him a Dark Mage. I thought about it but never pulled the trigger. I just upgraded from Mage to Warlock

The groups that received the loans are Childrens Health Defense, founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; the Informed Consent Action Network; the National Vaccine Information Center; Mercola.com Health Resources and Mercola Consulting Services, both affiliated with the prominent vaccine skeptic Joseph Mercola; and the Tenpenny Integrative Medical Center, a medical practice run by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, a physician and author who opposes vaccines.

The loans, which were made by banks and backed by the government, ranged in size from $72,500 to Dr. Tenpennys medical center to $335,000 to Mercola.com. They do not appear to violate Small Business Administration rules: P.P.P. loans were widely available to any small company or nonprofit (generally those with 500 or fewer workers) willing to certify that current economic uncertainty makes this loan request necessary to support their continuing operations.
The Center for Countering Digital Hate, a London-based advocacy group, uncovered the loans and alerted The Washington Post, which first reported on them. Imran Ahmed, the groups chief executive, called it bananas that such groups were eligible for taxpayer-funded relief money.
Theres an anomaly here, Mr. Ahmed said. The P.P.P. was needed to deal with the economic shock of Covid, and the anti-vaxxers fundamentally inhibit our ability to defeat Covid and move past this.

There seems to be a little confusion here so let me clear it up from my perspective. Is cheese mandatory on a burger? In my opinion, no its not. Is it better on a burger? Absolutely. Will I throw my burger out if I dont have cheese to put on it? No I wont. I consider it mandatory if I cant eat it without cheese. Since I can eat it and it tastes decent then its not mandatory.

All of CF was added late game development. Original story boarding had only three paths. So if CF feels underdeveloped that's because it kinda is and they had to go out of their way to make Rhea seem like the bad guy in the process.

I wish the game let Jeralt live if you were doing CF as that would make the slitherers seem much more sympathetic and Jeralt himself is already intensely distrustful of Rhea. CF as it stands is you're killing your spiritual cousins who treated you with nothing but kindness just to side with the torturous murderers who killed your father on the vague promise that Edelgard would help you get revenge that never happens.

I have quite a few questions about this but I dont want to really ask them yet. Maybe Ill get the answers as I play.

So he just becomes a training bot then. I can see that. However, I see why they had to add him. It would have been incredibly dumb for this big bad enemy that you had to deal with several times joining your side just for him to do nothing. Well, I guess it was more like you joined him but the point still stands.

Wait a second. If he wasnt playable... Did they just revamp Crimson Flowers story or something? I mean, did the Death Knight on that route disappear without any context or something? Was he just an NPC in every fight? Did you control him every fight as the Death Knight?

Im trying to understand how the game handled Jeritza without him being playable.

Jeritza was added post release as a free DLC playable character in Crimson Flower, which is why he has next to no support game.

He likes his sister, food, training. Also has some repressed emotions regarding his parents' death that comes up like... twice in the game. Not counting his out of house supports as I haven't seen those yet. That's his whole story. It's awful. He basically is his gimmick.

Meh. He at least sounds more interesting. Sounds like he could have been a lot better if they explored that issue you mentioned more.

That's ridiculous. Felix is a ten times better character than Raphael.

I havent played through those houses yet but based on what I learned in my first run, I agree 100%. Felix seems to have a lot more hidden depth and a true purpose. Im interested in how he really thinks since wanting to be strong he clearly just a means to an end based on how Im reading him.

I hope he doesnt turn out like Jeritza. Granted I didnt recruit Mercedes, so I missed out on important supports. Also, if you need Mercedes supports to carry your character then you are a bad character. That is also assuming those support conversations are great. The fact that he only had my supports and Bernadettas supports during that run didnt help. However, it seems like he would only gain Mercedessupports and thats all he gets.

I didnt want to rant about him but here I am lol.

I know people dont like Caspar but so far I find his story far more interesting. Hopefully Raphaels story is really interesting too.

Ingatz seems to be a character with a very boring personality with a very boring back story. Hell, not many quirks either. I still have a lot more to learn about him but my initial thoughts are that he is the worst character in the game. He doesnt even seem to have any compelling opinions. Hopefully Im pleasantly surprised like I was with other characters so well see I guess

EDIT: God. I feel like Ingatzs personality and story will end up being as shallow as a puddle and as wide as a coffee straw. I hope it isnt that bad

Anyway, Golden Deer's units are real feast or famine.

Claude, Hilda, Leonie, Lysithia, and Marianne are all very solid. Some of the best in the game.

Ignatz is basically Bernie with no crest, worse combat arts, and a skill that while amazing, only shines in Maddening.

Raphael is better than Caspar but otherwise meh.

I have never had good luck with Lorenz who's mixed attacking nature makes him kinda suck at both. I would highly recommend you grab a cavalier from a different house to replace him.

Are you playing Bylass or Bylad?

Lad. I never really gave it much thought. I guess the supports would be different? I'm assuming they would be anyway.

The overall crew of the Golden Deer feels significantly weaker than the Black Eagles. I'm guessing their growth rates are really good though.

Jeralt tells Rhea that she wishes he could have introduce the Mother of my child but she died of illness.

How would Rhea not have met her? Even if she didnt meet her, she should have know she existed. I mean, there is an unmarked grave at the church. How do you not know who that belonged to?

I recommend Golden Deer. The ending is kinda dumb but much less dumb than CF and you get an ironclad resolution to every plotline even if some plots have a less satisfying resolution than others. Also there's no way to romance Sothis as far as I'm aware.
