Don't get anything with a turbo on it if you're looking to keep it until it dies.

The Ford ecoboost isnt bad, but there's no point when you can have the proper 5.0 V8

This too, turbos will always be more expensive to maintain after warranty. Depending on what year you're looking at, stay the FUCK away from a 3 valve 5.4 V8

I might be able to tell you the problems with the Ford, I work in the parts dept of a dealer. I think they've fixed most of the Sync/radio and AC blend door problems, those are the first things that come to mind. Motor and trans issues depend on which model you're looking at
