Honestly, nothing good can come of this debate. Either:

a) Biden acquits himself just fine, and nobody changes their opinion at all, or
b) Biden stumbles, and Trump's accusations of Biden being mentally unfit start to gain traction, or
c) Trump simply devolves the whole affair into "I'm rubber, you're glue" and proceeds to hurl insults the whole time, while everyone else watches him do it

In only one of those three cases will it even affect the outcome of the election. Everyone at this point is either for Trump or against Trump. Nobody is excited about both candidates and trying to choose who they like more. I would find it difficult to believe anyone dislikes both and doesn't find Trump more repugnant. There may be some disaffected Republicans who are trying to convince themselves to break with party lines, but that's really about it.

However, i think it's too on the nose when that's the literal game objective and you get points based on the number of laughs you generate, and it sucks away some of the fun

Were you ever the funny guy at school, and people would come up to you and ask you to say/do something to make them laugh? I hated that (i would say no, maybe in a funny way, i can't remember). Okay, maybe that's not a universal experience, but you get my point

I put joke boat and mad verse city in the same category- it's purely abstract and forcing the players to summon earnest humor out of thin air. I like to call that category of game the "subjective popularity contest", along with the ones where you're doing free made-up word association. I'm not a huge fan of those

I think tee ko is the best subjective popularity contest, because it's collaborative, people can win without "winning", and people can employ their differing strengths

Split the room can be amazing, but it leaves the door open for people to be lame and do well because of it (i.e. put the same answer behind each door). If everyone's playing earnestly it's excellent

I love their family feud variant guesspionage because it always gets hilarious conversations going when people disagree on what the right number should be. It helped me learn who in my group cuts their nails with scissors and who never does their own grocery shopping

Unfortunately, i think I've finally gotten to the point i was at with cards against humanity maybe 7 years ago. I've just played it too much, drained the juice from the orange. I think jackbox is never going to be as fun as it used to.

I'm now wondering what the next thing is going to be. Quarantine has convinced more of my friends to get computers, so maybe we'll move on to sonething a little heavier

i haven't played fps games in a long time, but do play a lot of stuff with mmr (rocket league, starcraft 2)

i actually do understand their complaint. there's a time and place for matchmaking, and there's a time and place for more lobby-based play

multiplayer lobbies don't really exist anymore, but unranked play can simulate a piece of that feeling, and i think it makes a lot of sense for large free-for-all or large team-based games to have that sort of setting
