damn so i reached the nomai launcher in giant's deep. turned out it's launching the eye probe. the structural integrity of the launcher doesn't match the power required to launch and operate it.

that changed some of my assumptions:

i thought the probe HIT the launcher, instead it was launched from there.

who launched the probe? since all nomai we found are corpses it's either hearthian, a survivor or a 3rd different race.

Are you just postulating or do you want the answer? There's some text (I forget where) that basically explains what happens.

You don't have to go back and read stuff in the environment. Once you read it, a message pops up saying something like, "logged to ship's journal". And then when you get back on your ship, you can see the gist of what the message contained on the ship's journal. All that you need to do at that point is save the game by either finishing the cycle, dying, or meditating.

Pretty much the point of the game is to find readable information throughout various places. Once you read something, it usually gets logged to your journal (at least the very important things). You can view your journal of information and hints in your ship. This shows you stuff separated by planet, or you can toggle it to rumor mode, which is like a big web of clues. If they have question marks, it means there's more to explore, but if there is a picture, it means you found all the pertinent information for that area. You're basically meant to follow all the clues in your journal to beat the game (they all lead to and from each other).

turns out nothing saved and I have to start over. How do you save in this game ?

The game saves every 22 minutes. You can fly to a different planet, talk to a dude to learn meditation, which will end the game and save your progress.

Also, you need to reach a certain point in the beginning before the game actually starts, but that can be done in just a couple of minutes.

Which platform are you playing it on? On PC, it has negative acceleration and some kind of weird cap on turn speed. This means that the quicker you turn the mouse, the slower it moves the camera. Conversely, slowly turning your mouse, moves the camera at a higher speed until it reaches the cap they set in place.

Sekiro is one of the most perfectly-crafted games that I absolutely hated.

I can't fault the game for its vision and execution - because it sure executed it with razor-sharp precision. But it's just too focused on a singular form of combat and is too uncompromising for me.

Yes. It's hanging on the wall right behind him. A lot of people miss it. I didn't notice it until my second playthrough even though I stared at it for quite a few minutes while listening to dialogue. >_>

If you Parry the overhead strike in the second phase, you can use your spear to pull out the centipede and do a bit more damage for a few swings. It doesn't really affect the fight all that much, but it's a cool little detail. Also, I think the second phase throws people off because of how deliberately weird the animations are, but it really is easier on replays.

You've got it. They were trying to get across that Kuro's wishes go against the iron code, which Wolf always follows. And Wolf sees helping Kuro as putting his life in danger. Can't really comment on the lore of the traditional Okami, but that was the basic gist of what the game is trying to get across.

And without giving too much away, you activate the Shura ending by obeying the iron code. Not this time, but the next time you're asked. You'll definitely know it when you see it.

In this instance, yes. You only have one choice. But you are now close to the parts that decide which ending you get. They only thing I'll say is, don't go for the Shura ending on your first play through, as you miss quite a bit of the game if you do.

Genichiro is great. Really hard, but really fun. Probably in the top 3 boss fights in the game. It's just so good. Also, you might want to look at the full title of the game again lol.

According to one of the devs on the steam forums, there isn't. But someone in that topic also spotted a fov slider in the new trailer, so who knows at this point. It's just funny that the devs go radio silent as soon as they start catching flak from the community.

Yes. Play by release order imo. Slot RE0 in anywhere you want, as long as it's after RE1. Exchange the older versions with the remakes if you want, but the older games are worth playing too, just to see the differences.

It honestly reminds me of pre-release MGS2, lol. I'm pretty sure the trailers showed playable Snake in areas where Raiden actually is.

I seem to remember them only showing the tanker part in pre-release stuff. This was during a time where companies could get away with a handful of screenshots and a video or two, and fans were happy to buy it based off that.

• A moveable cursor for inventory management , especially when pressing the dpad would be so much quicker

Sure its realistic and adds replay value but it just seems like it's forcing you to miss out.

IIRC, talking to the dudes at your table passes 30 minutes, and talking to the other patrons only passes 15 minutes. Generally, you want to talk to the other people first since they usually only stick around for a short time. The guys at your table usually hang around for much longer.

Yeah, definitely talk to the sheep. They'll give you decent techniques, although in the later stages it won't help as much as they'll give you techniques a stage or two after you needed them.

They put the tutorial for the Inazuma technique pretty late in the game IIRC, but it's by far the most useful technique out of any of them. It should have been one of the first one's they taught you tbqh, just because of how important it becomes.

I was under the impression that authors could remove their guides at anytime, unless it was used to claim a bounty. Then you essentially sold your work to gamefaqs for whatever bounty they paid you. Is that not right?

Dishonored is probably my favorite stealth game of the last 15 years. Blink is such a fun way to traverse the levels, and the verticality built into the levels really makes sneaking around so enjoyable. It's probably in my top 5 games of all time. I'm also a big fan of the Thief games, even the reboot. I thought the reboot was overall a pretty decent stealth game, it just needed a few more months of polish, a proper map, and a way to mark areas as clear once you looted the place.
