I'm pretty sure kids are being tested too if they meet the criteria for testing. Even if it doesn't hit them as hard, they can still be spreading it to people so it needs to be known if they have the virus or not.

@Antifar I read to where Modi declared lock down and people on the street were beaten by police but at this point it sounds so much like what is happening here that I stopped. Although 4 hours to shop for a month is way worse. Factor in no running water and no refrigeration it is worse than I can imagine.

They just aren't allowed to leave the house at all except for car rides where they cannot leave the vehicle. Same applies to us on shift actually. So they're all stuck in the house together and they didn't get along before all this started.

Work is becoming more and more difficult. I've said it before but I don't expect people to keep track:I work in a group home for adults with intellectual disabilities. Our supplies are almost completely run out. The guys are constantly at each others throats. There is nearly no food because these guys will eat any and all food that enters the house just because its there and we cannot legally lock up food. The fridge is empty and there's only enough to make maybe 2 meals and then the food is all gone.

We are supposed to disinfect every 2 hours but those supplies are gone. Hand soap and hand sanitizer is almost gone. Paper towels are gone.

These guys do not understand scarcity and continue to do things like make a sandwich and throw it away because they're not hungry. We can in no way restrict access to food, while they are literally throwing away a supply that continues to diminish. There was about 8 days worth of food when I last worked Wednesday, and now it is all gone from overeating and wasting food like I described.

Everything thats going on led to me having a severe panic attack on Friday. I've never had anything like that happen before. I think I need to step away from my job for a while to pull myself together but I don't have that luxury.

I am guessing that straw-breaking-the-camels-back is that the guys have to wear masks if they go out? And I will guess that there isn't public trans so you cannot ask them to go out and pick something up?

The rent freeze being left out is *does not have words* I was reading local Chicago news and there are property managers lining up to file eviction cases as soon as it opens. Only thing which will save most renters is the short staffing due to illness and deaths among front line county courthouse workers.

It is hard to get delivery times but I live close to a Walmart that shops and delivers and have managed so far to get times. Half the stuff I order is not available but I get it eventually. Walmart subbed their whole milk for a common brand and the stuff just makes my cereal soggy. There is a special milk I am going to in my coming order. I am finding stuff that I can eat.

Package of hard boiled eggs, Cans of Campbell onion soup. Cut in 2 eggs per can. Tasty.

Economy. Workers are part of the economy. Everyone is loosing sight of this. You cannot revive the economy while workers are getting sick. Sick from no food and no heat is painful. Sick from Covid-19 is no improvement and imperils everyone. From this perspective if you are starving and freezing you may decide to return to work to make sure that no one escapes your doom.

For just an easing up here in Chicago they need to protect (all) workers who get exposed to the public. Public transit like CTA and public transit like Uber/Lyft need to be safe. Just saying because even if I knew how I doubt that it is going to happen.

Learning more about Covid-19 and developing better techniques:

There is already standardized data being measured on covid-19 patients. (pulse, breathing duh I don't know) The CDC should be collecting the data and trying to make sense of it but I have the impression that this is not being done.

Oh, that's entirely possible. Like I said, most sites list the incubation period at a minimum of 2 days, so having this constant cough less than 1 day after a potential exposure doesn't add up. If it is the virus though, I'm going to beat myself up for touching my facemask after constantly warning my parents about being cautious since February.

About Detroit.

It does look like the curve is flattening which is good. I read the guardian instead of FOX news because FOX news displays graphs on the page which subliminally make you think stuff. (For instance people in Chicago swear 4/5 single white women in Illinois voted for Trump because FOX news had a display saying 1/5 single white women in Maine voted for Trump)

Detroit had the countrys 12th worst soot pollution in 2019, according to the American Lung Association (ALA) and thousands of households lack running water."

Seriously lacking running water is almost worse than a death rate of 40 per 100,000 people. I should not be surprised. Puerto Rico only has electric power in the pharmaceutical factories more than a year after the hurricanes. But no running water in Detroit where they make autos everyone drives?

From what I know AMLO has been downplaying it for awhile. His #1 concern is keeping Mexico's economy going.

This is scary. We know by now that tourist destination + population density => coronavirus cases. I assumed that Mexico is doing lockdown because people in my neighborhood belatedly began doing it, Pilsen 60608. At the least I would expect face masks because Mexico City was wearing them voluntarily in a previous pandemic when the USA was being casual. The BNO map is showing lurid circles right where I think Mexico is. You could get by in Pilsen only speaking Spanish.

Yup. I also remember that one particular topic saying Corona doesn't seem to affect African Americans as much as others. Boy, if someone deserves a bitchslap, it was that dude.

Was this belief just circulating on CE or did it become an Urban myth? I could see a company like Walmart or McDonald getting their employees to believe it.
