I mean, does that not seem feasible or something? I can definitely see amazon growing that much by then

They had that level of growth from 2015 to 2018, but have been fairly flat since then. It is much easier to go from 100 billion to 1 trillion than 1 trillion to 10 trillion, I bet they flatten out to some steady single digit growth from here on out. There was just a giant tech boom in the last 5 years where Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google exploded, it has already started to flatten.

He is currently the richest man, so it makes sense he would be projected to be the first trillionaire. The article predicts it could happen in 2026, but that assumes Amazon will be on the same upward trend it has been on for the last 5 years, and be worth like 8 trillion dollars by then, which I highly doubt will happen. Just a clickbait headline article.

A lot of tech companies have grown exponentially in these last few months, more than they expected to grow over a few years. These stocks are rallying the market. Plus a lot of people got a pay raise by going on unemployment, and are now spending that money on online markets.

AngelsNAirwav3s

I bought into WPX a couple weeks ago at $4, its already up 50%, not a bad gain.

The oil and gas industry is a big part of the US economy and employs millions of people, so obviously there is economic benefit there. The sweet spot where we have a strong energy sector as well as cheap transportation costs for other industries and consumers are around $50 to $60 a barrel.

Natural Gas is tied very close to the oil industry, most wells produce both oil and gas. Natural gas has been the biggest reason why coal has died, it is cleaner and cheaper. However when oil drops so low, companies are shutting in their wells, so the natural gas supply also drops significantly. This directly leads to much more expensive heating/power bills, and if it gets worse we will have energy shortages and blackouts until we can get more coal power plants online.

National Security is another big reason, the US is now the largest oil producer in the world, so we are significantly less dependent on foreign oil than we were 10 to 15 years ago.

Yes, he sees them simultaneously, but at the same time, he thought he was changing the future when he went back to Earth to confront Veidt. He thought the tachyons were coming from nuclear war, and yet he went to try to stop nuclear war.

I guess I also don't quite understand how tachyons can interfere with all of his powers. The only purpose they served in the original story was to blur his perception of the future so he wouldn't see what was really going on at a crucial juncture. Even though his perception of time was confused, his powers all worked perfectly well otherwise.

He always knew Laurie would convince him to return to Earth in that argument. He didn't just change his mind and try to change the future. When he gets back to Earth, he even comments on how he expected to be back on Earth with her earlier than midnight November 2nd. All the time static was messing with his head, and for once he didn't know what would happen next (because of the tachyons).

It has been a few months since I watched the show, but I think it was stated he was still having a hard time using his powers because he had that tachyon ring in his head so long and his powers were suppressed for 15 years, he wasn't used to using them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the whole point of that argument to justify his inaction on what was happening on Earth? He was reasoning why he shouldn't do anything at all. He was asking why he should care. By the end of the discussion, he understood that each human life is its own miracle, and that he had been missing their beauty all along because he had been so focused on the things he could see 'now' that he couldn't before--completely missing the things he had been able to see all along but not properly appreciate.

No, Jon experiences the past, present, and future all at the same time. So just because he knows what is going to happen in the future, he can't do anything to change it. He is just an actor reading a script. The point of the argument on Mars was just to remind Jon of the "thermodynamic miracle of life", it had nothing to do with how he experiences time.

As for the show, I am pretty sure he was still weakened by that tachyon ring being in his head, and that weapon was a tachyon teleporter. The comics did establish that tachyons were the one thing messed with Manhattan's head and made him confused. The end was probably the weakest part of the show, it was great all the way up to the last episode, w/ A God Walked into Abar episode being superb. The ending just fell flat, I was really expecting some way bigger payoffs for all the characters, the murder of the sheriff at the beginning was basically completely pointless, and everything wrapped up way too nicely. The ending of Watchmen is probably the most memorable part of the comic, where the villain wins in the end, and the show is definitely not like that. Still, its way better than the movie, and probably the best TV show one could expect from Watchmen.

I'm not talking about in January. No shit it was high then. March is when the crash happened, well before any demand issues were arising or could he considered. You're just wrong man. US consumer demand did NOT cause these low prices. They are maintaining them however.

Last response you'll get from me because you keep repeating this disingenuous and incorrect narrative. It's pointless to engage

I just posted an article from February saying demand decline was already cratering prices. OPEC+ had an emergency meeting in March, and that is where Russia and Saudi decided to increase production. This caused the decline that was already happening to accelerate. If Saudi and Russia were the real reason oil prices are down, then we would be back to $60 oil right now since they just agreed to the biggest production cut ever, but oil is even lower.

If you are so sure that all the analysts are wrong and this isn't a demand issue, then what do you think is the reason oil is down?
