From the New World is great, kinda slow and boring through the first 3 eps, then after a big plot dump it gets great, keeps going up and up in quality, takes a bit of a nosedive during the final arc, but sticks the landing so it's all good.

Hikaru no Go, Slam Dunk and I guess Ippo are among some of the better sports shows.

Ace of Diamond is very solid

For mangas, I will always stan for Rookies as the best baseball series, though that's mostly due to the human drama.

Frieza is > Cell as a villain, but Cell saga is the best. During the Frieza arc is DBZ pacing at its actual worse. I swear it took Goku 3 episodes to charge up a spirit bomb. I think I might actually prefer the Saiyan saga to Frieza's as well. Not Buu though, and especially not the Android saga where most of the tension literally comes from friggin heart disease. Android saga does at least introduce best boy Future Trunks so it's not completely worthless.

These last several rounds have not been good to me. I enjoyed all 5 of the last boots, plus Durarara and Nozaki-kun. If this trend continues there won't be anything left in the top 20 I both know and actually like other than my #1 priority, and maybe Beastars.

I guess that's a sign I need to watch more anime. Any recommendations? For after the contest ends of course, no rallying obvies. @ me in Discord or whatever.

You could do what Martin is doing and just watch LOGH, Yaiba and Beastars recent hot shows, Kaiji's p swell if you like other gambling shows like Kakegurui,

This was up there as one of the more wholesome shows in the contest. Def worth a watch
It's a chill, relaxing show with a nice cast of characters, hoping for the next season to be just as good.
