I admit it was a gaff but once again if literally anyone on the other side had said it people would sing a different tune. That's my problem. And trust me I'm not hypocritical about that. As a white person who grew up poor (really poor, as in zero household income, single mother on disability poor), I have no qualms with people representing poverty as disproportionately a minority issue.

In fact, the more we talk about poverty issues implicitly encoding prior and current day racist legislation, the better.

Was just pointing out the statement implies he thinks no poor people are white. You can acknowledge something affects one group more without ignoring the other. They are but plenty of whites are poor too. Ive lived most of my life right under the poverty line and I thought i was doing well compared to several white friends ive had.

If you genuinely believe this is how all conservatives feel I don't know what to tell you. Most conservatives are more towards the center on social issues. Its just that mainstream liberalism has taken a very left slant. Just like fox news will give am extreme right slant. Most normal people have views on a spectrum that includes both ideologies.

Yeah as i said the rural conservatives are more likely to be bigoted than others. I had thr fortune of growing up in a neighborhood where while close to being the majority whites where not in fact the majority. I grew up used to Hispanics. Yeah im still a big street fighter fan. All the bad news of 5 put me off for a few years before I gave in (they apparently fixed a lot of shit by the time I bought it)

Street fighter and megaman are the only series I super care about though and megaman much less so cause im seldom in the mood for a challenging game. They also had a hand in some of my favorite zelda games iirc though the oracle titles.

Trump is another animal. Hes a product of lets see what a non career politician can do (and he could just talk louder than ben Carson so he drew more attention. Among other reasons im sure) and once again i point out people pick sides and stick to them regardless. People say "vote blue no matter who" well same goea for the red side as well.

I feel more people have picked a side and stick to it no matter the cost vs people who actually care and pay attention.

To embellish on this point to be conservative is to dislike change mostly. So if you are used to things being a certain way you'll fight it changing and that's even diversity working its way in. I slightly agree. We could track the news ourselves but honestly if the government hadnt done anything id assume it wasnt that bad. Team leader at burger king. Not really a supervisor but kinda at the same time. Now a prison guard. Just a regular officer but if you wanna get technical I supervise inmates. And I dont mean just watch them I often have to remind them to do their assigned jobs among other things.

No I was stung by wasp at a young age. Also fell from a height at a young age. I have two fears. Wasps and heights and never been able to fully conquer either. Ive gotten better at dealing with it but its still there.

The implication is some people think the options are bad. The point is to see which way people lean on which they are quicker to think negatively of. And chances are if you aren't bothered by either id think youd lean towards gay son on the basis less chances of financial burdern to thot daughter having kids as a teen. It's good that it didn't mow you down. I work with a girl who's horse of 10 years nearly kicked her to death. Her hand is still mangled from it years later.

I get that they're not inherently violent, but you're still dealing with an animal that is skittish, temperamental, prone to tantrums, weighs over a 1,000lbs and like to kick things just to remind you they're there. And I think most people don't realise how tall they are until they've stood right next to one.

Yes I was intimidated cause I was new. But I wasn't so intimidatied I didnt jump out of the way or refuse to do it.

I used to clean the stall of one they every day would grab me by the hood of my jacket and sling me all over the stall

Not really. Ive worked at a horse stable before. They are an amazing combination of dumb yet smart creatures. Horse got loose one day and i was ordered to stand in its way as it bolted towards freedom (and possible death due to a highway in that direction) and that was scary having this horse running straight at me at full speed but it hit thr skids and turned around before it reached me.

I think any show with a laugh track could be edited to not have it. They just need to cut out the pauses where the laughing is otherwise it makes it seem like a lot of awkward sileneces. Now if a awkeard silence would increase the funniness in a particular scene then leave it.

I live in Trump country and dont seem to see this going on. Then again outside some stores being closed and restuarunts are drive thru or delivery only not much has changed here. Hell biggest problem I have is i miss going to Wal-Mart late at night when its nearly dead to do my shopping as they now close at 8:30

People loved Skyrim. It was the games after, especially stuff like Fallout 76 and ES Blades that soured people on them

I liked fallout 4. Just like with Skyrim made improvements i loved while making changes I disliked. I dont pay attention to games focused on online play. Maybe online isnt their thing and they should lay off on it.

Here's the issue with your statement. You are taking a viewpoint from a culture that has been shaped by Christianity for the past 2000 or so years in a WORLD that has been shaped by both Christianity AND religion in general for the past several THOUSAND years, starting from the conclusion (that murder is wrong) and then working to prove said conclusion with the assumption that said conclusion is a moral stance despite that the reason it is consider to be a moral stance existing solely because of religion.

The fact is that morality does vary by culture and religion and some of these cultures and religions DO consider things such as murder to be fine or at least acceptable in certain contexts. Had the Aztec religion survived and become the dominate world religion instead of Christianity I can practically guarantee you that something like murder would be seen as far less immoral than it is now. Many of the things we consider to be 'good' are not in other cultures and faiths and, likewise, many of them would consider things we see as morally acceptable to be abhorrent. Even for a secular person, merely being raised in a culture shaped by that religion would shape their views of morality.

Is murder wrong? If you subscribe to the notion that right and wrong do not objectively exist and are defined by something beyond humanity, something like murder being 'right' is simply a matter of finding the proper culture. Let's not forget, a LOT of governments openly murder dissidents because they do not see murder as wrong and view the securing of power for the party as right. Theocracies are not immune to this either as a priest can easily justify any deed that they do as being given the clearance by the divine. Especially if the priest does not believe in the divine themselves and, instead, views it as a way to exploit the masses.

I believe the former leader and founder of the satanic church once stated morals was the only good thing religion had done but that it was no longer needed. As in yes religion instilled it in us but now its just part of our culture religion or no religion.

I Love MGS 1,2,3 though ( Even though I still side eye the heck out of 2 for not being able to play as Snake / Pliskin in the plant, until substance came out. they should've thought of that before then )

I overall really liked raiden. Did a good job of showcasing a point brought up in the game that someone put in the right circumstances could become like solid snake in terms of what they are capable of. Raiden personality wise is almost snakes exact opposite. Then with later games coming it out its also added evidence that zero was indeed obsessed with the idea of being able to make another snake.

I've seen it firathand. Quittimg working can speed up ones death. Im sure it varies case by case but the suddem lifestyle change is too much for some people. I cant speak for those with already cushy live a though. And im sure sone of it is mental going from feeling useful to useless.

I've played through all the numbered RE games apart from 6 and no one hooks up with anyone. Apart from Ethan's already well established relationship with his wife or Barry's wife used as a bargaining chip against him in the first game, the series does not care about romantic relationships at all.

As someome who doesnt care for RE (only liked 4) I say good. Not all games or stories need romance. Not saying all do but usually when something goes on long enough it eventually happens.

Pretty much. Back when i didnt work all I did was stay at home and maybe once a month go to the store when someone else in the house was going.
