Granny Rags definitely counts as a kill. You can do it without killing her, but I seem to remember that it's a very specific way you have to do it.

Damn. It took me forever just to figure out how to kill her. I'd say that I'll look harder this time, but I don't know if I'm going to have the same encounter with her on a high chaos run.

Well, I did start a D1 high chaos run... but the more I think about it, since I did a no-kill run in d1, maybe I should go ahead and begin a no-kill run in D2. After all, I've read that pacifist is much funner on that game.

Then later in life when I get a thirst for the games again, I can play through both games on high chaos.

About a year ago I beat Dishonored 1 with zero kills (I somehow did end up with a kill on a couple levels... idk how that happened. Maybe Granny Rags counted as a kill when Slackjaw and I confronted her?).

I enjoyed D1 a ton, but I found myself wishing there were more creative ways to get by enemies without killing them. I just kept on using the same 3 methods over and over -- choking, sneaking or sleep dart. Those were really the only options.

So should I have a really fun time running through the game again on high chaos before I start D2? Or just go ahead and start D2?

Giancarlo Esposito is a great actor and Gus Fring was a really good villain. i still think it was pretty weird what ending up happening with him walking out of a room where a bomb just went off with half his face gone before dropping dead. he would have just been dead instantaneously with that kind of head trauma. it was a pretty cartoony moment which was out of place for the show as a whole.

It was a moment where sacrificing realism was necessary to create a moment of suspense.

He's zoned out, but he is zoned out to the MUSIC, plus has muscle memory that comes with lots and lots of practice. I imagine this is a common experience among musicians.

I have the reflexes of a dead turtle I think. LOL. The only multiplayer FPS I can perform decently in is Siege, because it's more dependent on tactics and teamwork than reflexes.

What about Escape from Tarkov?

The first two Soldier of Fortune games are good. You can get them on GOG. They are absurdly gory but still entertaining.

Far Cry 2... kind of? You're a mercenary hunting an arms dealer in a war-torn African country. It's a game set in the modern day. Fun but annoying at times (like when your weapons wear down and start jamming all the time >_>).

Ghost Recon: Wildlands - Open world, ridiculously good story about tearing down a drug cartel / government in Bolivia. Third person but has first person aiming.

ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 - These are military sims. You have to contend with minimal HUD information, radio communication, some basic inventory management, limited ammunition, stuff like bullet drop, etc. Really challenging but fun, and more realistic than most singleplayer FPS games.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 both have fairly well written stories, though their single player campaigns are really short (less than 10 hours each). I don't recommend Battlefield 4, since the story was really stupid and unrealistic compared to Battlefield 3's.

Looking for a campaign, not multiplayer. That's not to say the game can't have multiplayer as well.

Preferably a modern setting. I played CoD2 a couple years ago and thought the campaign was intense as hell. But that takes place in WW2 and I want something set in present day.

From everything I've read on the internet, including this topic, STALKER is a much better game. If I ever get a craving for this sort of thing, I reckon I'll just buy STALKER SoC for much cheaper.

But I already have Deus Ex and System Shock 2 to keep me busy until then.

The base game plus the expansion pass is $30 right now. Based on what all I've seen it's worth that.

I haven't played it, but I love immersive sims. I've dabbled in the original Deus Ex and System Shock 2 is on my backlog.

No.

During production, the Millennium Falcon was supposed to blow up, but all the test audiences hated it, so they changed it.

They were definitely planning a much darker ending. Perhaps if the movies were made today, it could have happened. But I guess with the target audience largely including kids, this wasn't something that could be done in the 80s.

That being said, I did start making smoothies with spinach in them because i wasn't getting an ideal amount of iron. This change to my diet didn't stop me from finishing the ice in the bottom of my cup, though.
