Yang will qualify for the next debate.

He didn't make this one because of polling BS (he hit 5%+ on dozens of polls, they just "didn't count"). He's been trending up and he's been getting plenty of attention.

Also the polling mechanics themselves disadvantage candidates like Yang in the way that they are run and the way they are weighted.

Hard to make it when they only give you a couple* of polls between debates to hit better numbers.

Hell his polling average is still better than Klobuchar but she had a temporary spike 2 months ago when they gave her significantly more than her share of time at a debate. If you were just counting the past month and a half of polls I don't think she would qualify either.

But whatever I'll just turn my ire into more text banking -_-

This was honestly the best I could have hoped for. That doesn't mean it's without downsides. We still switched very quickly from "if Iran retaliates we will react disproportionately" to "Iran appears to be standing down" as a result of them firing actual missiles at our facility. I have no doubt other actors are playing close attention to this. (I'm looking at you, North Korea)

I think the net result of our previous escalation is that the world is less safe, but we can't change the past so I'm satisfied with how today is going.
