I've always said this. It's just way too punitive just to avoid someone intentionally committing PI to save a touchdown.

Then there'd be no reason to NOT commit pass interference outside of 15 yards.

i mean it'd still be an automatic first down. like yeah, if you throw a 40 yard pass and the defender has no shot at defending the play it'd be to their advantage to interfere and take the 15 yards but i think it's offset by the number of Pass Interferences where it feels disproportionate to give the offense 40 yards even if there was some contact - just not enough where it feels "right" that it's awarded 40 yards for it.

Im a Packers fan and Ive been saying this since the seeding was decided. They need a perfect game to win, and Rodgers has been absolutely terrible today. He was jumpy in pocket before he even took a hit. He started the game scared

My dad still defends him, but Rodgers has been bad this year, at least by his standards. He was credited with 16 overthrows in week 17 against the Lions. Sixteen. His accuracy isnt there, and he doesnt care about timing plays unless hes throwing to Adams. I dont know if hes just having the age drop off earlier or if his ego is getting the best of him again, but hes not good enough to win games for you anymore.

Considering his last game... Either way I'm sure he'd be terrible on defense which is where they really need help.

Boyle couldnt be worse. The problem is that Rodgers cant be benched. He has the mentality of a child

Jimmy G seems like a cool guy from what I know so him winning a ring wouldn't be the worst thing for me (also would allow extra lols at the Patriots) but yeah I'm with the Chiefs all the way here (and would be even if the Packers somehow make a comeback.)

The offense has moved the ball some at least despite the turnovers. Sure, they've been terrible. However, the defense has missed tackles left and right and gave up 185 rushing yards in the first half. That's beyond terrible.

I wanted to give a shout out to Dustin Colquitt who has been our punter for 14-15 years and although he not been great this year, was honestly the best player on the team for 7-8 of those years.

also to #1 overall pick Eric Fisher who has not had a great career but has been pretty darn good this year

Haha, I just realized when they put up Rodgers's stat line that if you looked at it without watching the game I wonder what your impression would be.

Also, I didn't say anything at the time because idk it didn't seem like it mattered, but this drive reinforces my initial confusion at the Packers going for 2 back at 13-34. Like, I assume their logic was "If we make it it's 2 TDs with 2 pt conversions +FG instead of 3 TDs!" but missing it puts them in a position where a 49ers FG at any point is basically a game ender whereas if they kick the PAT it's still 2 possessions.

I mean, arguably with the time remaining you just assume any score is fatal anyway and so opt for the scenario where you can settle for a FG on one drive but ehhhhh.
