Broke into top 2000 Legend this morning. Apparently there's more than 20,000 players at Legend this month already, so I'm actually really stoked about getting this high up.

Highlander Priest feels sooooo good. I have a decent shot in basically every single matchup. I need to draw good mid-game (and Apotheosis really helps) to beat Demon Hunter, because I kinda need to outrace them with high health minions. And Face Hunter can be kinda rough if I don't have early plays. Other than that, though, I feel like my winrate is 60%+ against every other high-tier meta deck. Plus, I am a fucking king against other Priests. I honestly can't remember the last time I lost against one. Every single matchup against Rez Priest ends with them like 5 cards deep into fatigue and multiple cards left in my deck because they keep shuffling birds in there to help me out.

Metal Gear Solid 3, Resident Evil 4, and more recently Bloodborne have been rotating as my favorite game ever.

MGS3 has the best story of the three, and there's an absolutely absurd amount of charm, cheese, and polish in every facet of its design.

RE4 just feels great to play, and is somehow even cheesier than MGS3. Leon is such a perfect fit in that game.

I've been doing an annual playthrough of Bloodborne ever since it came out, and it feels even better to play now than it did back then. Stabbing a dude with a sword, then pressing a single button to sheathe it into a giant fucking hammer and bring it crashing down on their head is such a wonderful feeling.

After thinking an unusually long time on this, probably gonna stick with something really unoriginal and go with Undertale.

Tetris Effect and Diddy Kong Racing are runners-up. Pokemon Puzzle League with a sorta honorable mention since it was mostly just off the Pokemon CD.

Decided to nix Acidic Swamp Ooze from my highlander Priest deck and replace it with Kobold Stickyfinger. I realized most of the weapons I want to destroy are high value weapons, like Galakronds and Warglaives. I've played two games with it so far.

The first game, I stole an unused Warblade (was 1 HP away from being able to heal out of Kael'thas combo range =\).

But the second game, I stole an unused Fist of Ra-den off a Totem Shaman on turn 8, and then Plague of Death'd him next turn, giving me an Alexstrasza on board.

I am 100% keeping this card in my deck and I don't care if that's a dumb decision because the meme potential is through the roof.

More nerfs incoming. One or two Demon Hunter cards (not specified which) are getting hit. Sac Pact is getting changed; and Kaelthas, Albatross and Frenzied Felwing are getting nerfed.

Also some Wild changes: Open the Waygate and Bloodbloom are getting hit hard, so Quest Mage and Darkest Hourlock aren't one-player matches anymore.

Side note: they specified that they wanted Jaraxxus to feel more playable, so I would expect Sac Pact to only destroy friendly demons. That seems pretty simple. Another tidbit, they said they like what Kael'thas can do, but think his turns can get a bit too ridiculous too early, so them changing it to "every third spell costs 1" seems like a pretty solid guess.

RegisKillbin just did a video showcasing Totem Shaman, and it really does seem pretty strong. He shows that top tier in the first 10 seconds of it. Time to put Mass Dispel back in my Highlander Priest, I guess.

Played a decent amount again today. Reverted back to my Highlander Priest deck. If I'm gonna get mad at the game; might as well play a deck I at least enjoy. Sure enough, I started off immediately on a 9-1 stretch, which I guess is the universe rewarding me for leaving the dark side. Of course, that was only enough to put me one win away from Legend again. And then lost a bunch more. But more of the games were fun!

Had one where I Murozond'd a rogue's Wondrous Wand into Dragonqueen turn, and got free Galakrond and Soul Mirror off it, clearing their entire board and playing a Sandhoof on the back end. I don't remember my entire Hearthstone career, but I'm pretty sure that has a solid case for the single most insane turn I've ever had.

I was two wins away from my first time ever getting to Legend with Highlander Priest and went through a bit of a slump. So I joined the dark side and started playing Galakrond Warlock. Well, I think the universe is punishing me for this decision because I just had possibly the most tilting loss I've ever suffered in Hearthstone in the mirror. It would've 100% gone on Trolden if I was a streamer.

My final card in the deck was Galakrond. My second-to-last card in the deck was Kronxx, so if I played it, I'd just turn on fatigue. My third-to-last card in the deck was a Veiled Worshipper, aka something that would've been incredibly useful to get to those cards, but not at that point!

So the turn I draw Kronxx, I decide to play Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and get Ysera Unleashed. OK awesome, that's potentially two more board reloads if I survive, but he has 3 minions with 8 attack on board, I'm at 17 health and have no taunt, and he hasn't played his Zephrys yet, so I'm probably just dead to Bloodlust. Sure enough, he plays it and then..... Blizzards me? So I'm stuck at 9 HP with a frozen board.

Out pops three dragons from Ysera and then finally my Galakrond. Still no taunts, so I sadly have to Plague of Flames away my massive board, then Galakrond away and hit him in the face to bring him down to 10. He has already used Alex on himself earlier, and he only has one Nether Breath left, so even if he clears my board, I can just Kronxx and second weapon charge for lethal. One of the four demons I get is dormant (keep this in mind).

On his turn, he responds with his own Plague of Flames, and spends too much mana to be able to Nether Breath, so he's stuck at 10 HP, ripe for the easy 10 damage I have left. My next turn starts and Kronxx isn't glowing. I can't play him. Oh, right, my dragons are coming in; I just have to wait for the animation to load, I guess. The first dragon pops up; it's a small one. Then comes a Zzeraku. Then another Zzeraku. That's kinda funny. Then a Deathwing. Then fatigue damages me. I now have a dormant demon, 4 dragons from Ysera, and suddenly two 6/6's from Zzeraku fatigue.

I can't play my Kronxx because I have no fucking room on the board.

I smack him in the face anyway to put him to 5 for next turn. He Twisting Nethers everything and Nether Breaths my face. I can't kill him with Kronxx anymore and I'm fatiguing faster because I put a bunch of Albatrosses in his deck, and I end up losing and I have a useless 5/4 that draws me at least 9 damage in fatigue if I play it. He deals with the Kronxx stuff and I have to concede to this guy who just gave up the most obvious Zephrys lethal there's ever been at Rank 2.

I need to take a break from this game. I played entirely too much of it today, in the hopes of getting over the legend hump and I'm kinda worried about my mental state right now.

Uhhhh, did Swampqueen Hagatha break? I'm playing Highlander Quest Shaman and got two 5/5's that cast Feral Spirit and Eye of the Storm, and then Lava Burst and Vivid Spores. I was up against a Galakrond Warlock with an empty board and just figured I'd do the first then the second and just create a state they couldn't possibly clear and end the game, but it wouldn't let me cast the Lava Burst at his face. I had to kill my own 2/3 in order to use it.

Nowhere on Hagatha or Lava Burst has it ever said "only targets minions" or anything like that, and I have absolutely killed someone and been killed with a double battlecried Lava Burst before. What the fuck just happened? I still won, so I'm not upset, just extremely confused.

I just beat an Embiggen Druid (with 0 new cards, come on man there was an expansion fuckin' two days ago) where he got off 4 Embiggens by turn 5 with the help of his Archmage Vargoth. Highlander Priest has some ridiculous removal tools at their disposal. My Galakrond hit his 2/1 Vargoth out of three possible minions, and I never even drew Natalie or Soul Mirror. If I had drawn either of those, I probably could've ended the game a lot sooner.

I made it halfway through Karazhan with Odd Demon Hunter before the nerfs. Had three problem bosses and two that were just impossible. Couldn't beat Odd Rafaam or the guy in Karazhan that only takes damage from weapons.

Man, I started going through all the adventures to see if there was a single boss that plain old Odd Demon Hunter couldn't beat without any tweaks. I didn't even look up a deck list, I'm just using what I cobbled together that seemed good, then threw one Gluttonous Ooze in there because I remember some bosses have weapons.

I wonder if I'll have enough time before everything in the deck is torched. I made it all the way through Naxxramas with two bosses I had to retry once apiece (Gluth and the deal 1 damage to all minions and make slimes guy, don't remember his name) and now I'm 1/4 of the way through Blackrock.

Went something like 11-1 with Highlander Priest today. I know I only lost once. It is veeeeeeeery good against Demon Hunter. Funnily enough, my one loss was to a Leoroxx deck who copied two King Krushes in his hand and burst me down on turn 8. Living the meme dream.

Erase the space.

Had a game where I drew really poorly, so I took out some of the really low-impact stuff like the Invoke cards and put a bit more dragons in there to get some more early-game consistency with Cleric of Scales and Dragonmaw Sentinel. And then I put Ooze in because I only faced one hero that wasn't DH or Hunter and they all run weapons. I was really skeptical of how good Imprisoned Homunculus would be, but if you get him on turn one and have any kind of backup over the next few turns, he can really put in work.

If you don't have Skeletal Dragon, that really feels like a weak point at the moment, so I wouldn't worry about crafting it. Maybe shove an Evasive Wyrm in there instead. That said, in one game against a hunter, it did give me Amber Watcher when I was down to 7 health.
