Yup larger, more open campaign maps for sure. I hope the majority of the game takes place on a Halo ring like the first one did.

As for multiplayer, they can build mostly off of Halo 5, but most importantly BTB can't be an afterthought. Warzone was enjoyable but not a replacement for BTB, which was what they intended. They need to make actual maps for BTB instead of them being entirely Forge made maps by community members.

The heavier focus on combat is why I think it will be even better than the first one. I expect everything else to be at least as good as Ori and the Blind Forest was. But all my favorite Metroidvanias satisfy both the urge to explore and the urge to kill stuff. Ori and the Blind Forest only really did the exploration part.

All I can think of regarding Alucard is that they're setting him up to withdraw from the world again and reemerge later if they ever get around to doing a SOTN arc. I think the problem right now is that they just don't know what to do with him, but they're keeping him around still because he's one of the franchise's most popular characters. I'm guessing Trevor and Sypha will meet up with him again next season, but I'm not quite sure where he fits into the conflict with Carmilla and her inner circle.

I enjoyed it, but I have to admit the entire season was basically filler. At least Trevor, Sypha, and Isaac all did some cool stuff. They should probably conclude this arc in the next season, and then they could perhaps move on to Simon if the show keeps going.

Yeah it's pretty dumb in the EU too. I would have been okay with Palpatine being the mastermind behind the events of the sequels as long as he was still very much dead. Would be a testament to how much of a threat he was if his schemes were still unfolding despite being a corpse. I guess the only problem with that is that it doesn't really make sense for Palpatine's goals. He never really seemed like the type to care about the Sith or even the Empire, with his primary concern being power and immortality for himself. So I guess based on that I understand why they've gone the cloning route in both the EU and now in canon. What good is setting up the events of the sequels if he can't be around to profit from it?

Still, as it is now, it definitely cheapens the ending of ROTJ to me. Maybe my opinion will change whenever I actually watch Episode 9, but I doubt it.

Yup. The sheer potency of grenades is something I miss with every subsequent game. Nerfing them was probably the right thing to do just for the sake of balance, but there's no replacing that power you feel when you chuck a bunch of grenades in CE.

The first six missions are still incredible I think. I know Assault on the Control Room might be a mixed bag for some people because of its indoor sections, but the outdoor sections are awesome.

Probably the most interesting thing about the CE campaign is just how good the enemy AI is. I don't think any other game in the series matched it, and I'd say it definitely holds up well. The only enemy they totally fucked up was the Hunter. So pathetic and weak in the first Halo.

Crouching in Reach was designed to work only when you slowed down your movement speed. With a controller, this isn't much of a big deal since you have some degree of control over your speed when moving with a stick. This isn't the case with a keyboard of course. You can only either move at full speed or not at all. So you had to come to pretty much a full stop to crouch.

But now you don't have to. Apparently the fix actually backfired though because I saw a video comparing the new crouch to crouching with a controller. You can now do it sooner with the keyboard than with a controller, so it's not equal.

Unfortunately there's some bugs. Still no Forge and Theater for Reach either. I don't think 343 is going to ever be able to fix or add everything that needs to be done.

But oh well, at least they finally fixed crouching in Reach with keyboard and mouse.

Disagree. I think the overall quality dips a bit, but not significantly so. Snowman's Land, Tall Tall Mountain, and Wet Dry World are all solid levels. I know Tick Tock Clock isn't the most popular, but I think it's great. And Rainbow Ride is the best level in the game in my opinion.

Don't think it was the first one I've read, but one of the earliest I remember was an alternate ending to Revenge of the Sith where Grievous faked his death and teams up with Shaak Ti after Order 66 goes down. I think it was setting up a romance between the two as well, which is pretty weird looking back. I guess it made sense at the time considering how many run-ins she had with Grievous.

Does the original Rome hold up?

I'd say yes and no. Just purely from a performance standpoint, it has some trouble working properly on Windows 10. But as far as the actual game goes, its age definitely shows. But it was also a classic for a reason. There's a lot it did right that the modern games haven't been able to capture.

Warhammer 2 is excellent and easily has the most variety of any Total War game. Magic and monsters work really well in Total War style battles. But the game isn't without flaws, with the biggest mark against being the atrocious sieges. I also outright despise the majority of battle maps in the game. They're almost all far too small, therefore very frustrating to maneuver your army properly.

The last Total War game I've spent a lot of time playing is Shogun 2, which I think is easily the best. It's the exact opposite of Warhammer 2 in terms of unit variety. Everyone's armies generally look the same. But the battles are still as fun as always. The game has great music, a great aesthetic, and a very compact and interesting campaign map. There's also Fall of the Samurai, which you should check out if you like guns and cannons and naval bombardments.

Ehhh, Sylveon was never popular. And Garchomp was only popular since it was so viable in Gen 4vs metagame.

And Rayquaza is awesome, but I never would've pegged him for the title of 'most popular legendary'. Good for him though!

Mimikyu was popular years ago when first introduced cuz it's a funny concept, but I wouldn't have guessed it would stay SO popular, to the point it's the third most popular Pokemon in the world now.

Sylveon was definitely popular. As for Garchomp, I think that's just a testament to how much of an impact he had back in Gen 4. Plus being the signature Pokemon of one of the most popular human characters might help it a bit.

Mimikyu has everything going for it though. Cute, has a neat gimmick, and it is also actually quite good. Plus Sun and Moon were not that long ago.

Greninja was popular before Smash. No surprise at all that it won so handily. In fact, none of the top 10 is really surprising. Wouldn't call it random at all.

Remember the anime plays a huge part in it. Greninja and Lucario were both pushed heavily in the anime. Well a movie in Lucario's case. That's what got them into Smash as well, which made them even more popular.

You are able to do every terror mission. I assume you mean abductions. And Guerilla Ops in XCOM 2. Every other type of mission you will always be able to play.

I get wanting to be able to do everything, but I think it was a good system. The rewards you get from those missions are incredibly important. You're not supposed to be able to get all of them.

Still pissed about the first time I ever had jury duty. At the end of the first day it was looking like I'd be selected for a case, which I wanted because I thought it was interesting. I think they needed to do one more round of narrowing people down. So I go in on the morning of the second day and I'm told the judge would not be in that day and we were all dismissed. So not only did I miss out on actually serving, but they wasted my time by making me come in for a pointless 45 minutes or so.

I think it was the first game or one of the first games on 360 that had crossplay with PC too. I enjoyed that game quite a lot. I remember elves with katanas and Wired Reflexes being very popular. I think I usually played as Dwarf and Troll.

There's no point in taking the title away. I mean what does that even entail? Everyone's always going to know the Astros won that World Series, but it's obviously tainted by the cheating scandal. Ramparts is probably the better route for a first time player. The Morass is one of the DLC biomes and it has significantly more enemies than most other biomes. At least it does on the difficulty I'm playing. I imagine it's probably the same on 0 BC.

But I don't really think your choice of route matters a whole lot on first playthrough anyway. Especially because you won't have the runes to access many of the other biomes.
