How are the Mariners uninteresting? This is a team that has had so many amazing players play for it, along with one of the best seasons in the history of the sport. Yet despite that they've been unable to reach the World Series. And obviously you've got their almost 20 year postseason drought going on.

They are probably one of the most fascinating teams in baseball. And when they do eventually return to the playoffs it will be a huge deal.

But otherwise, most customers are decent. I guess it's just the situation we're all in that makes some of the minor issues seem worse than they really are.

ODST is the easiest by virtue of you being able to

- tank at least 1 Sniper shot
- The VISR pointing out said snipers
- Usually one invincible AI teammate, up to 4
- Pistol/ Plasma Pistol combo
- Short levels in general, A lot with vehicles

Probably the hardest part is traveling the streets and potentially getting ambushed

In terms of difficulty

2(Cheap) >>> 1 > Reach > 4 > 3 > ODST

Not sure where 5 would fit in
Halo 5 is the easiest in the series in my opinion. There is a single part in Halo 5 that could be considered really tough, but other than that, the game is straightforward. In Reach and ODST you don't always have your invulnerable AI teammates, but in Halo 5 you almost always do. Plus Halo 5's weapon sandbox is so good that you will generally always have a weapon worth using. Even the ones that are supposed to be bad you can make work.

My ranking for difficulty is a bit different I think

2 > CE > Reach > 3 > ODST > 4 > 5

I don't think Halo 4 is too difficult. It's just a chore to fight Knights and Watchers. I never found them to be huge threats though. Halo 3 is by far the best and fairest campaign on Legendary. Both for solo play and for co-op.

I wouldn't say that. There are still a lot of people who just aren't interested in playing games on their PC. Maybe they don't want to buy one or put one together. Maybe they like the idea of the simplicity of consoles where you just plop down on your couch, turn it on, and play. And sure you could make every argument in the world that using a PC to play games is just as simple and easy, but that's not going to magically make people jump on board.

It's still better than doing absolutely nothing at all with these franchises. The demand is clearly still there for all three, so why shouldn't someone attempt to make new games for them?

I didn't mind TnR too much, but I rationed out my sniper shots for maximum efficiency. Once you're out the level gets a lot harder.
The ammo lying around allows you to potentially carry the weapon through the entire mission at least. It's definitely a difficult level, but it wasn't the one that personally gave me the most trouble. That for me is a toss-up between Two Betrayals and Keyes.

Two Betrayals has the most Rocket Flood in the game, and it's very difficult if you actually go around intent on killing everything. Lots of open areas where you're very vulnerable. And the indoor sections are obviously cramped.

Keyes is difficult mainly because of the end where you fight a ton of Spec Ops Elites . Those guys are tough. Oddly, had a significantly more difficult time doing that co-op than I did by myself.

Honestly reminds me of Doom a bit
The Plasma Pistol also works against every enemy, and of course it's the most ubiquitous weapon. It does lose a bit of its luster as an actual weapon when you turn on certain skulls, but on plain old Legendary it's almost always worth carrying. Since plasma weapons stun enemies in the first game, both of them have something unique going for them compared to everything else. I prefer the Plasma Pistol because the Rifle overheats more easily and it obviously lacks the overcharge.

On some of the harder ones I would have to try them maybe 50 times, spending each time perfecting my strategy for getting through it. One false move and I'd have to start over. There was a certain fun in the challenge of being perfect.

I think Cairo Station is harder than The Library though. That one's probaby the hardest one to me.
To be fair I'd argue that every single mission in Halo 2 on Legendary is more difficult than The Library on Legendary. Cairo Station is one of the stand-outs too.

You'll change your mind very quickly on the next level.

The shotgun is your best friend for every single encounter with the Flood. The Assault Rifle is also very nice to have for Infection forms. The Plasma pistol is very useful against them as well, although it's also great against every other enemy in the game too. The only weapon that is surprisingly near useless against the Flood is the sniper rifle. Logically it does make sense of course. The Flood are an organism that you eradicate by destroying as much of its body as possible. Precise piercing shots wouldn't be as useful.

CE's weapon sandbox is overall quite good in campaign. The Needler is the only weapon that I'd say is straight up bad. It got much better in the sequels.

Zote was also the toughest hurdle for me too. If you only fought him once inside Bretta's dream, than that explains why you're struggling with him because the one in the Pantheon is indeed more difficult. You can fight him up to 10 times, and each successive fight gets more difficult. According to the wiki, the Pantheon Zote is the equivalent to the third fight with him, so he does have extra health. The later fights with him have him doing absurd amounts of damage.

That is unlikely to work on their beasts. Further you are now entrusting the ring to the eagles and gandalf which Gandalf admitted he would likely be tempted by. You are adding more to the equation to possibly fall under influence.
This is a good point too, since Tolkien even stated that Frodo's inability to throw the ring in wasn't due to a failure of his own will. Willingly destroying the ring was likely impossible for anyone. It only worked out due to some luck and divine intervention.

Also in addition to the usual points about why the eagles wouldn't work, one of the big advantages the Fellowship had was that Sauron didn't think anyone was actually going to attempt to destroy the ring. He assumed anyone who was in possession of the ring would either try to challenge him directly or just keep it and remain hidden like Gollum and Bilbo did. Aragorn was able to draw out all of Mordor's armies at the Black Gate because Sauron thought he possibly had the ring.

Flying into Mordor on eagles would have clued him on what was really going on, I would imagine. The Nazgul would have been on top of the eagles immediately, and everything Mordor could possibly muster would be sent straight to Mount Doom.

I dropped Hollow Knight once before in that 2-3 hour mark. Then I decided to pick it up again and loved it. I played Ori, but it's a joke compared to Hollow Knight. Ori looks great but HK has substance in my eyes and also looks great with a nice sound track. I've yet to play Ori 2 but when I do I may change my mind, a lot of people sound pretty excited about the whole thing. I wouldn't recommend HK to everyone, it is a rather difficult game and if you hate trying to learn a map or exploring well then it's not the game for you. A lot of people can be recommended Ori however since it's a simple and brightly colored friendly game.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps so far seems to be even better than the first game. Interestingly it's pretty clearly been influenced by Hollow Knight. At least a bit. Possibly part of why I think it's better so far.

Anyway, yeah no stand-out music and areas looking the same is a terrible take. What do you think of the boss fights though? I think the boss fights are probably one of the most important aspects of Hollow Knight. If those aren't grabbing you, it's understandable why the rest of the game isn't either.

Halo 2: we nerfed all the guns super hard for dual weilding so youll just use a BR which is a nerfed Halo CE Pistol.
What really got nerfed in the transition to Halo 2 though?

The Assault Rifle is better than the SMG I guess, but it's not like the Assault Rifle was a great gun to begin with. I've always preferred the SMG anyway, and dual-wielding of course makes it even better.

The Plasma Pistol is nerfed I guess, but it became more of a specialized weapon in Halo 2, and it's been great in that role in every single game.

The Plasma Rifle lost its stun capabilities, but again I don't think it was ever that great in the first game anyway.

And then there's the Needler. The Needler is by far the worst weapon in the first game, so even carrying a single one in Halo 2 is an upgrade. Dual-wielding made it excellent.

So I don't quite get your point. Every Halo game usually boils down to having a solid precision weapon and the core power weapons like sniper or rockets. Everything else unfortunately is difficult to make work. That's one area Halo 5 actually really does shine in. While the same weapons as always are going to reign supreme in a competitive environment, all the lesser weapons are at least capable of being used effectively.

I think they should probably just continue to have Master Chief and Locke as the main playable characters but remove the squad mechanic that was in Halo 5. The other six Spartans can just appear in various missions, but I don't want any of them constantly following me around. I don't expect that to be a popular opinion though. I think most would rather just see more focus on all of Blue Team rather than Locke and his squad.

Looks like that's what they're going for. The ring after the credits in H5 and the ring at the end of Wars 2 are probably the same ring, and there's one in the E3 2019 trailer, although it looks like it's been partially destroyed.

They've said Infinite is going to be a "spiritual reboot" of the franchise while still advancing the story from H5. What better way than to thrust the player into the middle of a war and drop them on a Halo ring, just like Combat Evolved?
Indeed. It's just interesting how despite the series being called Halo, few missions actually take place on the rings ( discounting the first game of course). Sure, they do take place on other Forereunner constructs. But I think the Ark in Halo 3 was the only one that came close to matching the feel of Installation 04 in Halo: CE.

I think it's been speculated or maybe even confirmed that Infinite is taking place on Zeta Halo, which is probably the one that has the most lore to it. Flood, Forerunners, and humans all a major part of it. It's also one from the original array, so it's larger.
