basically how I see it is: we are living in a time of fattened & entrenched corporations that have formed a status quo. Without the bright fresh faces of innovation to latch onto (and the few that do come up turning out to be frauds like the Theranos founder) it's no wonder how negative our cultural view of corporations has turned and how we're instead looking to government for positive action.

On a literal level, I'm referring to how Google recently removed most instances of the phrase "don't be evil" from their code of conduct. But on a more cultural level, it seems society once viewed businesses and entrepreneurs as wellsprings on innovation and world-changing technology. What happened to that?

I'm in business school and we never talk about changing the world or progressing our society. It's just about different functions we can take in corporate superstructures like cogs.

I really like the start of SBR just showing off the characters with no crazy antics. People underrate the beginning. Some stands do get weird but overall it has the smallest stand count in the series by far, just an interesting fact. He gets a lot of mileage out of a few characters and ideas.

Stands are still music references yes. I agree that there's a lot I didn't know in SBR lol. I think the music choices leave Dad Rock somewhat and go into some more modern stuff by this point (an early part 8 stand is called Born This Way).

2-4 is the best standalone. 3-5 is boosted by how well it ties into the previous cases and how it wraps the trilogy up so well.

1-5 is kinda clunky in retrospect though it's a huge ride on first playthrough

I dont give a shit about business presentations

My literature teacher is a [bleep] and I don't want an English dual degree anymore

My statistics class is mushbrain-tier which is paradoxically hurting me because all the class time is just telling us equations to use and doing practical hw, but the practical stuff was only 30% of the midterm while the rest was fucking theory out of nowhere

It's like some straw broke the camel's back while I wasn't looking.
Of course I've also cut out most sugar and calories from my diet since I'm trying to make a lifestyle change and lose weight, though it's been at least a week since I've started that.

I dunno. I wish I was taking less than six classes (the max). I was really concerned about maxing the value I got out of my time here but now I'm feeling really apathetic. Like my ambition has folded.

I have to tell a one-two minute story tomorrow to the class from my life that uses 'descriptive language' to evoke emotion. I haven't started. I don't care enough. It's only 10 points but I'm on the edge of A- so I can't just blow it off. It's dumb fucking busywork though.

I don't feel like I can have fun anymore. I never feel comfortable playing videogames because some big project is always on the horizon. I spend time doing schoolwork, putting off work by stressing or reading CE and shit, and laying in bed with the covers drawn over my head.

I don't have anyone irl to talk to because my 'friend' group has devolved into a bunch of mutual alcoholics who all have abusive homes or mental illnesses and they talk about not having a place to go back to in their group chat so I feel so fucking small time trying to talk about my own shit. Not that I really relate to them at all anyway. I haven't met nearly anyone in college who are on the level of my HS friends who went to a different college.

All there is to do here is work, go to parties, or eat out. I hate parties and I cut restaurant food out of my diet. I don't know anyone who wants to hang out with me. The culture of my major program is a bunch of extrovert normies and it's a total mismatch for me.

I wish I'd gone to game clubs or Smash tournaments I saw advertised earlier in the year but I think that'd be awkward now. Maybe I'll try them anyway. I made a huge mistake of thinking the people I knew from HS who came here would make a friend group that I could bounce off of because I can't.

My mom sent me a picture of someone on facebook saying how their kid has no friends and does nothing but work and she said "this made me sad." I don't want to tell her that that's basically me

Instead of putting myself out there I tried to join into the new friend groups that friends from my high school were forming. But it's so obvious now that I don't match with them at all. They basically only hang out in order to drink together.

My closest friends went to a different state college. I'm not even sure how I formed the strong bonds with them I did. I'm afraid I'm not capable of doing that again. Also it was a 'gifted' application-based school so the people there were smarter and more likely to match my interests

The old (s)nes SMT stuff sounds really cool on paper but visually it disappoints imo.

That said there's still a ton of really cool more modern SMT entries. A lot of people say start with Nocturne on Gamecube though I think that game's experience is still a bit barebones (bad rng recruiting mechanics, painfully boring overworld). But yes Dante from DMC is as cool as you'd expect
