If we're talking about people who keep their comics so mint and sealed that nobody could ever read them, that's much nerdier. I mostly did this because the first Gears I ever played was DLC for Gears of War 3, and so I was afraid that choosing anything not easy might lock me out of tutorials, which would've been bad considering I had never played a Gears game before. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

The driving is ass, the shooting is ass, the flying is ass...especially compared to V where driving feels smooth, although the gunplay takes some getting used to as well. I've only played a bit of SA so I can't say much about it, but I feel like you will need to be into 90s gangsta-culture to really get into the game. V's multiple protagonists give you a bit of everything. I love V a lot, it's the first GTA I ever really played and it was some of the most fun I've ever had with a game, I couldn't put it down. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

I didn't grow up with it and playing for the first time a couple of years ago...yikes. The maps are empty, there's nothing interesting in them and in the single-player the rubber banding is so insane you might as well spend half of the races in 8th so you can at least get the fun items. Double Dash, now that's a great one and one I'm happy to see represented well. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

| RyoCaliente 04/18/20 8:28:43 PM #10 | I think I'd vote for VI, because I think from a writing perspective it would still hold up well enough that it could really be revitalized for new audiences with a remake. I think out of all of the poll options, it would probably be the hardest one to remake though. In that regard, VIII would probably be the easiest. X would be cool but I think that game actually still holds up well enough, even the voice acting. People make it fun of it but I find the many "Hunh?"s in 7R and the awful voices (not the acting, just the choice of voice) for many of the characters so bad and poorly chosen that that bothers me way more than any voice acting in X ever did. The entire point of 9, I feel, is that it's a throwback to classical RPGs (or classic FFs), so I feel like a remake would actually go against the entire core of that game. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

This pandemic will hit the economy hard, so you have to expect that finding a job will just get harder. | RyoCaliente 04/11/20 6:18:09 AM #18 | I love XY and I haven't even played ORAS. I just think that the game was the first one that really made the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" a thing for me. The introduction of Fairy-Types completely balanced the game for the better, and all of a sudden you could find cool Pokemon like Axew or Absol around the second gym, instead of finding nothing but Pidgey and Spearow and Hoothoot until you reached the third Gym or something. People talk about rotating their teams in SwSh but that's something I already did in Y; I had 17 Pokemon that I rotated through, not having to grind because of the Exp Share and being spoiled for choice when it came to cool Pokmon. Gen I: Best feel Gen II: Best Dex Gen III: Best region Gen IV: Best OST Gen V: Best engagement/story Gen VI: Best Pokemon spread --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

Harry is a little bitch throughout the fifth book and I get it, so are many 15-year-olds, but holy hell that is not a compelling read. It doesn't help that many of the other characters are also amazingly annoying/dumb throughout the many pages of Order. It's hard to say when the government will allow things to go back to normal as it is dependent on containing the virus (not just in the country but all other neighboring countries) and if the virus hasn't adapted/new virus has popped up. Though I still kinda prefer Phoenix Harry to him as a child. Phoenix is so overstuffed with boring crap and features every character at their absolute worst. I think for the world, yes, easily. I've had MANY people tell me that they've never experienced anything like this and the situation the country is in now. I can see the US growing to that state, but as one of the posters said above, the impact of 9/11 was definitely that America, this untouchable nation, this emperor of the world, was attacked and suffered a devastating blow on their own territory by a foreign nation, which hadn't happened since basically Pearl Harbor (which was then in the middle of a World War as well). If 9/11 had happened anywhere else, and kids had told their parents they were afraid, the parents would have replied with "That won't/can't happen here". And then it did. It smashed the air of invulnerability that permeated the US, so in that sense I don't think coronavirus has "beaten" it yet when it comes to a news story in the US. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

I didn't have a lot of money as a teen so I invested mostly in Games with Gold which are all just mostly older games anyway, and so I have this huge backlog (also because I didn't buy a lot of games even if I was interested in them like AC) and I just wanna get through it. I'll catch up on current games later. It's a bit sad that I miss out on the threads and discussions about them, but then again, I don't think many modern games really do enough with their setting AND gameplay to really create a whole lot of fun/interesting discussions anyway. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |
