Yeah; I think the 2 party system is dumb as fuck and we as a nation should stop subscribing to it.

Right now though, much as I don't like Biden, I like him more than Trump, and there's not even a third party candidate at the moment that really wows me in any way either, so he'll likely be getting my vote, much as I'd prefer other Democratic candidates.

This reeks of the same mentality that was pervasive behind Hillary getting the nomination in 2016. Even though nobody liked her, they still backed her because "better of two evils." Feels like the voterbase is languishing in "battered housewife syndrome." They'll begrudgingly accept the nom they desperately wish wasn't.

I voted third party in 2016 because I personally very much go under the mentality of "I don't want to vote AGAINST someone, I wanna vote FOR someone."

But then we got Trump, and I really don't want another 4 years of Trump.

I mean, it is what it is. I still don't have reliable internet at my new place yet, so I'm only able to get online really when I go out to the local coffee shop, which I can only really do on my days off. (That's also why I haven't started up Save That VG Character yet). I've been trying to check in every couple of days, but when the noms are only a day long... >_>

I usually try to let my nom topics go for 5-7 days, get all the stragglers, then go all in on the weed out phase. But everyone does them different, so it is what it is.

And yeah, I just got into Weezer a couple months ago. Them and Jamiroquai are pretty great.

Blue Album and Pinkteron are practically perfect; Green and White albums both have some solid tracks. Bevery Hills is solid. But they also have a lot of disappointing stuff, they're the most hit or miss band I can think of. When they're great, they're great, but when they're not... they're really not.

I can always jam with Blue and Pinkerton though.

As far as Puddle of Mudd goes, I've been going through a lot of their discography again today, and honestly, it's pretty solid. She Hates Me is a meme song now, but it's really not terrible. And Blurry, Psycho, Control, Drift And Die, all solid songs IMO.

The songs sound phoned in on the album. Fantastic live. It's the only album of theirs I don't listen to and/or love.

Pretty much same; I'm honestly not a big fan of Binaural or the Avocado Album, but even then I have a few songs off them on my playlist.

Backspacer I have a mixed relationship with; all the songs are solid, but they're all so short you just blow through the whole album so quick.

Their first 5 albums are still fucking phenomenal and I listen to on repeat.

I'm convinced the producing/mixing/whatever is the problem with Lightning Bolt. Saw them in concert when that album was released and that was the only time I enjoyed those songs. They had so much energy to them. Went to listen to the album afterwards and nothing.

Maybe, cause like, some of the songs I feel like could be decent, they're just missing something vital, and I never know what that something is.

Same. They're caught in that box of "trying to sound like we sound while also trying to sound new"....and they just aren't able to pull it off IMO. I wouldn't listen to this regularly...

Dance I genuinely enjoy, but it took me a few listens for it to grow on me.

Yeah I was super disappointed with that track. Its the closest theyve come to sounding washed up. At least the first single was decent

The first single I didn't know what to think at first, but the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. There's a lot of meaning in the lyrics, and although the sound is super different from their usual, it still sounds really good.

Superblood Wolfmoon is just... fucking bad. Like, I've listened to it several times now, hoping it'll grow on me like the first one did, but there's just no depth to it. The lyrics are basic, the sound is basic, even Eddie's vocals are basic, and love or hate Eddie's vocals, "basic" is not usually how you'd describe them.

Like, Superblood Wolfmoon might even be worse than their stuff off of Lightning Bolt, and I cant even listen to like, 80% of that album anymore.

I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan, but I gotta say, this song is some of the most generic dad rock I've ever fucking heard.

Which is a shame, because their first single they released for this upcoming album I actually really loved; a very different sound for them, but I felt it worked.

I really hope the rest of the album is more like Dance of The Clairvoyants and not SuperBlood WolfMoon, because dear fucking god, despite a badass name, SuperBlood WolfMoon sounds generic as fuck, and it's very disappointing.

Get Out is one of my all time favorite movies, but the more I think about Us the less I like it tbh, so I'll have to wait for Peele's third movie before I can say anything definitive.

Eggers is amazing; Aster I want to like, but I was honestly underwhelmed with both Hereditary and Midsommar, so he might just not be for me.

Flanagan has a lot of potential, I wish he'd do more original films instead of adaptations though.

Overall, probably Eggers, even though I struggle to call The Lighthouse a horror.
