Great terrain to travel over, plenty of graphical variety, denser than some game maps, and not too big or too small. Plenty of people were coming here for the FAQs - video guides had barely become a thing yet, and there were plenty of free FAQs here. The site generally had a very fun feel to it. Also, when CNet did buy the site, I don't think some of the changes were massive. | Sunhawk 01/13/20 6:12:20 AM #1 | I still haven't beaten the final level (which I suppose is also technically the first level), and there's plenty of stuff I haven't collected. There are quite a few well-hidden coins in the levels, not as bad as the blue coins in Sunshine, or the thermos flasks in Alan Wake, but tough. Plenty of tonics I haven't located or collected yet. I'm pretty sure I've unlocked every level, but there are still a couple that I've only unlocked the vanilla version (as opposed to the "modified" version). The way people talked about this game, it was only reasonably challenging, and a little short. Nope. Definitely glad I got it. --- It has been 0 days since something interesting happened. I barely think about Cyric at all when I'm on CE (or off). I'll say this, however: CE in general used to be kind of obsessed with him. Back in the early and mid-2000s. People used to troll him SO badly. Then, more recently, there was a change, and people would suddeny leap to his defence, when someone (like me) was attacking him. Anyway, I was never nearly so interesting in Cyric's life as I was in pinky's life. I remember, many years ago, when I was in my early twenties, I thought being a GameFAQs moderator would be the coolest thing EVER. I applied a few times, I think, but nothing happened. Now I'm older, and people in general don't take the GameFAQs boards so seriously, it doesn't really appeal to me that much. I mean, a bit. It was funny, how intense everything used to seem to people, posting in the 2000s. Moderations, 500 post topics, looking cool in the eyes of other CE regulars, the woes of getting an account banned, and such. Things aren't like that at all now. Well, with the possible exception of people like XSquader and Admiral, but I suppose they've both been removed now. I dunno. --- It has been 0 days since something interesting happened. I dunno. Perhaps it was considered very experimental for 1967 (lulz). Many of The Beatles' listeners were baby boomers, after all. What do YOU think?
