As long as he is not doxxed to the public, he'll move on easily. However, I think he has been doxxed, which is fucked up and unnecessary. Kids do have protection at that age, so it should remain a private matter between the police, family and the player.

Unemployment gets a $600/week bonus, but that's running out at the end of the month.

But outside of that and the $1200 stimulus to those who made the right amount of money, yeah there's been nothing. The HEROES Act has been sitting in the Senate for a couple months iirc and wouldn't be surprised if the House passes more stimulus-type bills that just die on McConnell's desk.

I love collegiate athletics and just athletics in general, but even I agree that tuition money shouldn't be spent on athletic programs.

They'll likely just use COVID-19 to raise prices when fans can return. Most colleges would be smart to try and get people that spend money on season tickets to still spend that this year for something. Whether it's some perk for the 2021-2 season, something tangible, etc. as a way for fundraising for the 2020-1 season.

I'll admit, I know jack shit about how to best fundraise so maybe I'm just talking out of my ass, but it's something to think about in how to generate revenue.

I'll be waaaaaaaaaay more scared if March Madness gets canceled again though. I can see the NCAA doing it once and cutting hard on CFB, but to cut March Madness in back-to-back years would really do some damage.

Tuition money generally doesn't go to athletics.

It could really hurt a lot of collegiate programs/athletic departments though. I know Stanford already is trimming 11 sports, UConn trimmed like 4, and Boise State cut a couple as well. Some schools can't really cut (like mine) because they're at the lower limit for programs needed to be a D1 school, so it'll be interesting to see what happens to the TV money, especially if it's only spring football and no fall football.
