He only has a single lightsaber. No matter how good his force powers are, his lightsaber can't be in two places at once. By the pidgeonhole principle, a fuckton of lasers are going to hit him and kill him.

Another important thing has been mentioned. I will use it here to illustrate the *most important* point.

A Lightsaber, designed for offense, can be used defensively to block or deflect lunging or swinging attacks or blaster shots (deflected/redirected to another direction).

But is the Lightsaber "the key"? Look carefully at the following image.

Vader, using only his hand, directed the Force to create a barrier that stopped Han's blaster shot. A defensive Force barrier also can be used to push-away or stun attack[er/s].



Consider Luke--now, a much more powerful Force-user than Vader was, att--directing the Force to create a barrier. A Lightsaber or a hand-wave would be "the show," but his mind would be "the key." Such a Force barrier would stop all attacks. However, the Resistance needed a distraction for the First Order. Luke channeled the Force according to its peaceful path, drew the FO's fire (either way, no shots could have touched him), drew Kylo Ren's ire, and gave the Resistance time to escape. Luke perished, consumed by the Force if you will, as a result.

Force-users bodies are a conduit for the Force. Used lightly, one side gives users unusual health and longevity. Used heavily, one side consumes the user and withers their body.

While I have no particular interest in dog ownership, only a badly trained dog would do most of that.

Most dogs, *when* their owner is present, are well behaved. A bored dog, especially when their owner is not watching, will get restless and misbehave.

A dog litter box will not deter a bored dog; I've seen it happen. There's outdoor dog pens, but they're only good for owners who have this as a realistic option.

Cats are independent. A clean litter-box and a few food stashes, possibly a scratching pad or post, and they can be left alone for a weekend. No mess.

Dogs are dependent. A few hours alone and they will start to: empty all food stashes; root through baskets or bins; urinate; defecate; vomit; tear-up rugs or furniture.

Choose based on your pet maintenance skills and scheduling (for the next 15 or more years). :P

Dark Souls really wasn't for me, but I stuck with it to experience most of what it had to offer and to beat the game.
