I mean the unfortunate thing is Bernie tended to poll slightly worse than Biden nationally vs Trump.

I *think* Bernie does better in places like Wisconsin and Michigan, but honestly Im not even sure of that anymore. Biden has such a huge lead vs Trump in Michigan I doubt that matters but Im still worried about Wisconsin.

People saying Biden is bad or almost as bad as Trump are just looking for things to sulk about honestly (if they are Democrats or left leaning that is). Like...his platform varies from average to very good if people bothered to read it. Hes worst on healthcare which sucks but hes still leagues better than Trump on that.

And if you celebrated either of the recent Supreme Court wins at all, it should be obvious why Biden very much needs to win. Trump is already stacking the lower courts and I cant believe Ginsburg has lasted even this long.

Sure Biden is bad compared to Sanders or Warren but I dont have those options anymore. I dont think hes bad in an absolute sense though. I get being frustrated that Sanders lost again but I do not get hand wringing and woe is me or how he is anywhere near Trump after the events of the past couple months unless you are a hardcore conservative.

I was "fine" with Abrams but Tony brought up some good points the last time I asked about her. She also has not held any major office so I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with her considering how old Biden is.

I think Harris would be good. I know the optics of picking a former prosecutor aren't great, but she's been good on just about everything since then and I'm not going to hold what she was doing 20+ years ago against her. Plus, she better than Biden in just about every way imo. It's weird to be ok with Biden but not ok with Biden+Harris.

(My favroties are still Duckworth/Baldwin but I think both of those are pretty unlikely. Whitmer would've been a really good choice too just because I know Trump hates her)

Season 1 was at least good. Season 2 was okay. Season 3 was dumb as fuck. Season 4 is sunk cost at this point.

This is the exact same thing that happened to me with the Handmaid's Tale. Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 was dumb. Season 3 was awful but I was pot committed so we just watched it and complained the whole time. I don't know if we'd watch season 4 at this point.

So I mean Joe Biden's biggest issue is he says stupid things. Like, all the time. He can't help himself. "Shoot them in the leg" is obvious just insanely stupid, but I'd rather not reduce his platform just down to the worst thing he's said when overall I think there is a lot more good than bad. He has a very competent team around him already that is largely steering his policy in the right direction and I'm hoping his administration would be equally competently staffed.

But yeah a lot likely will not happen unless a miracle happens and the dems somehow win the senate. I don't expect them to pick up more than a single seat, honestly, so that seems very unlikely.
