I had a problem with a couple components of it It really is an impressive piece of work for all those reasons, particularly because of how long it is too. | Stalolin 06/26/20 11:00:47 AM #1 | Overall I really liked the story and it gave me a lot to think about. One way it surprised me was my feelings towards Abby. Call me a dirty philistine if you must, but I honestly cant remember ever feeling the way I do about Abby as a character in any medium. Its not like a traditional villain where theyre either sympathetic or get a redemption arc. I still hate her, but I also feel a great deal of empathy, and a while lot of pity as well. By the end I just wanted Ellie to leave her be - and it made me think, how much is enough? How much suffering would she have to go through to make it right or to pay the price? Like I said its such a strange mix of emotions that I dont think Ive ever felt towards a character before - at least not in quite the same way. Thats all. If you would like to discuss the game or story Id be happy to. I am going to sleep soon but Ill be around. |
