So trees...

How close together can I put the 17 or whatever I use for wasps and shit. I was thinking like a checkerboard, but I dunno if that'll hamper net swinging and seeing shit on the ground.

You only really need 7 hardwood/cedar trees if you just want wasps and furniture (unless there's an event running that spawns stuff on them like leaf eggs)

It'll prioritise certain things if you only have a few trees:
Event Items > 5 Wasps > 2 Furniture > 15 bags of 100 Bells

For spacing, I had my 7 trees in this formation for weeks and only had trouble if a villager was in the way...

Yeah I saw that, but I also haven't seen the guy in weeks and I'm still only at 5 instances of helping him out since the game came out.

Ah I getcha, I have gotten CJ, no joke, TWICE since the game has come out in March and I have played every day (aside from the fishing tourney which is guaranteed). Its pretty crazy. .

Edit after watching the update video: Wow holy shit you can actually swim now. That's pretty dope. I had a feeling there was a lot of empty ocean space that couldn't have been there for nothing.

I hope the swimming is less slow and clunky than it was in NL. It was cool to do at first, but I was super happy that I didn't have to do it anymore when I caught all the sea creatures.

How common or rare are the Rainbow Stag or Goliath Beetle for you guys? I haven't missed a single day and have probably seen 2 or 3 of each. Hopefully July is better. As much as I like Fireflys I'll be glad to see them go so more insects will spawn. As it is I had to get rid of most of my flowers so Stinkbugs stopped spawning. I haven't checked Mystery Islands though.

I barely see them in the town, but I got them on islands pretty easy by cutting down everything except the palm trees.

I see rainbow stags kinda rarely, and it's usually too late by the time I do see them. I have not seen any goliath beetles yet.

At least you can get them to spawn decently on islands, I guess.

I finally caught a goliath beetle thanks to the NMT island cheese. I also found cherries on the island, which isn't my island's native fruit.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to the fact almost all the remaining bugs are found on trees.

Also while it may help with my general laziness (especially to water), I'm getting real tired of how often it rains.

Finally got Audie's photo yesterday, and it was the prize from a treasure hunt no less.

And I also FINALLY got rid of my starting two villagers, and it only took spamming two campsite villagers constantly until they picked the right person to get rid of.
