People keep spinning the MLK quote about riots, when in reality his speech was about how to avoid them to the general public if you see it in context. He believed, firmly, that peaceful protest is the way to go. He literally changed the world with them.

Protest can turn into Riots because of one "agent". This could have been peaceful and have been overturned but now this is suddenly "political" and further divides the country down a straight line when just days ago the president and conservatives around the country were calling for this guy's head.

Now we are back to square one as "us for them" and the "us" and "them" are people that need to unite, more than ever, before a totalitarian government and their banker capitalist buddies enact sweeping legislation that will destroy our lives forever.

The cycle of violence has been covered in every culture under the sun and yet we still haven't learned. Violence creates violence.

Fuck the elderly that refuse to learn. They can talk shit on Facebook and play those games just fine, but as soon as you give them basis instructions to do anything else they turn into the most infuriatingly stupid people.
Last week I spend 40min on the phone trying to get a 64 year old woman's laptop connected to her new BF's wifi. This woman spends 12+ hours daily on her laptop and has done so for a decade. She couldn't find the wifi symbol despite me describing what it looks like and exactly where it's located. I ended up having her go through Settings after 30min. When I asked her to click on the giant Windows logo at the bottom left of her screen...she was pressing the ACER logo at the top of her keyboard with her finger despite knowing what the Windows logo looks like.

Ok I was going to come in here and defend but that's hilarious.

Arin and Dan are both very, very intelligent people. I can't believe people think they are "idiots"?

I don't think any of you know how hard it is to play games with the same guy for six years and still find conversations that lead somewhere, or are funny, or entertaining. They take issues of the day and bring it on the show and keep it fresh with banter and they actually listen to what eachother has to say. I occasionally pop them on and I'm surprised how they find a way to make something fun, even if it's not really that fun.

Erin is just like Dunkey--he wants to go straight to the fun. I still think he has valid points as a game critic, but we are talking about video games....although not as subjective as traditional art people's taste in games varies widely.

Like, I understand Digimon World on the PS1 is not a great game but I still enjoy it.

EDIT 1: I Find it strange nobody is mentioning how every democratic state is sill running arbitrary stay at home orders without the consent of the people thru a vote in their statehouses thru "executive order". Of course, we know this is actually not a legitimate law and that's why many police precincts are not charging people because virtually all "stay at home order violations" will be overturned.

EDIT 2: In a perfect world this would be about censorship and how monopolized media entities like twitter, facebook and youtube can no longer block speech because it's "conspiracy theories"...but I doubt that's what this is.

I think we are dealing with people that just aren't very creative. Min/maxers who just auto dodge every fight. Yeah, once you get good it's easy. But I couldn't beat a Lynel first. Every enemy has different patterns/attacks. I think the combat is fine. It's better than like, the Witcher 3, Skryim, the more recent Assasins Creed games...

The main problem is internet providers intentionally lagging restructuring and modernizing to maximize profits.

But if they don't keep up with the hardware a breaking point will occur and this is where new companies emerge.

Since this lock-down the isp here has been struggling. Packet loss occurs for the most of the day right now. Pretty much unacceptable in 2020. They sent a few techs out to my residence to see if the problem is on my end... (cost me $50). They were brutally honest and basically said "Don't call repair guys, this is on our end and corporate will avoid telling you". It's basically they literally don't have enough cables running or something? He made it seem like a physical limitation.

It takes time to design one that confirms only the antibody you are looking for.

The last couple % of reliability is simply down to the fact that the immune system has loony levels of complexity involved, to where antibodies that are produced can have minor differences between people. So make the test too specific and you may miss a small number of people whose systems designed their antibody in an unusual way.

More testing would mean better data, better data would mean better choices....what kind of country can fling $1200 + at every home in America but can't provide a test which effectively costs like $3 and someones labor after research costs? Problem 1-- The US population is higher, more varied than most in the world

Problem 2 - Our central bank would have to tell the treasury to print the money, loan it to to the government at interest, inflating the money supply, meaning homes will be worth less, peoples investments will be crushed and generations later will pay off the debt. Only the biggest corporations would survive. This is because the United States already carries the highest deficit in the history of the world.

Some people seem to think money is created out of nothing, but it is NOT.

It could very well be we will still be seeing cases next year spike in the United States but by then Sweden could be completely over the hump. It's not some crazy choice, it was good that one stable country tried this---so we know.

And lol @ the people eating Mcdonalds but talking about "no half measures". What do you think this lockdown is? It's not a full quarantine to find out who's sick and who's not---this all could be seriously over in two weeks if we did that--it was a half measure that made millions of people more dependent on the government and saw profits rise for the biggest employers in the United States...Fast Food and Walmart.

So a better idea would be wait until we have minimal cases in October and then open up? When the flu and cold are sending panicking citizens to the hospitals thinking they have COVID 19? Just like all the people that flooded hospitals when this first began because of allergies?

No, for one, test and trace, useful as it could be won't EVER happen on a massive scale. It's expensive, would require new laws about the government's influence on the private affairs on citizens AND people would riot. You could make a case for cases being limited right now, and Ideally health care facilities would test and trace themselves as not to infect those most vulnerable (nursing homes or people who rely on healthcare)

You either restore society at some point, or you don't.

It doesn't really matter when, so why not in the warmest months of the year, where the virus has a harder time spreading and people are (typically) at their healthiest?

I mean I just don't understand what this lock-down is actually accomplishing. MOST hospitals in the US are literally laying off nurses...and then when the lock down ends or even starts to end, the healthcare system will be completely overwhelmed anyway with months worth of back-up appointments. And the longer the lock-down continues, the longer it takes the healthcare system to catch-up.

And it's not even a real lockdown in most parts of the world. I was literally standing in line at a Subway today with four people in line and two employees. Walmart was packed today too. Is this really a lockdown? Sure seems like the giant corps get to be open but not the mom and pop.
