It's pretty funny that the internet went into a reflexive "Baaaaaw Nomura" at how this game ended, and judging by the recent interviews, he was the only one in the creative room going "Yo let's dial this back a little"

Yeah, most notably you do not even have to damage the first phase of the Whisperers. It just ends on its own after a period of time.

And this is why Sephiroth is going to be like "I really shouldn't have killed Aerith the first time" right before he kills Tifa

Narratively, I think Sephiroth has to realize at this point that killing Aerith in the original timeline was what ultimately screwed all his Meteor plans. So I expect him to kill Tifa instead, because Cloud can't have nice things.

You don't have to lose on purpose, you can just pause, pick Restart from Battle and it'll plop you right before the fight started.

...except on the final one, where doing so will plop you all the way back to the Expressway. That was a real questionable decision.

Goddamn beat Chadley's nonsense, finally. The trick was going in with Revive Earrings and not dying all the way up to Bahamut. That way I could kill Ifrit, block Megaflare with my face, die and then finish him off.

I find her incredibly annoying without it. After she gets off Diamond Dust, she seems to go into a rage mode spamming so many bullshit sleep spells that people start dying and I'm trapped in a Raise cycle wasting my MP.

I am so annoyingly close to beating the final Chadley gauntlet, but never quite make it there. Tried going in with Cloud/Tifa/Barret, Ice Elemental armor on Cloud, Fire on Barret. That gets me past Shiva, Fat Chocobo and Leviathan without much worry. Bahamut, I'm fine up until he summons Ifrit. Then I have two options, focus on Ifrit and Bahamut beats everyone to death and/or gets to his Megaflare win button, or I try to ignore Ifrit and he walks around punching everyone to death

For pullups the trick is you can't fall down or you'll lose, so don't even worry about going fast, just worry about not messing up your buttons. After ten or so in a row you can pick up your pace.

Regarding the seven seconds thing, yeah, I get the feeling Cloud is going to make a heroic save there since that is very much the time it took Sephiroth to kill Aerith. Which...well, it sure would be a thing if he killed Cloud instead, wouldn't it

Pretty sure Dredd survives here, just because he is both pragmatic and terrifying. Carrie probably takes out Al and Vince before Ash lays down the Boomstick. Then he hitches a ride on Blue Eyes...right through a wall and into outer space

It won't be as fun as the Morbius comic, where they acknowledged he was like a C-rank supervillain and just wanted to be left alone, but people like Spiderman kept beating him up because he's a spooky vampire

Al Bundy, The Cape, Ash Williams, Carrie White, Judge Dredd and Blue Eyes White Dragon have been trapped in the Cube! Location of the fight: The Cube - The structure as seen in the original Cube film. All mercs will begin in the starting chamber with no information provided to them and no knowledge how they arrived. Who will survive?

Guidelines
- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence), focusing on how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- <b>There may be SPOILERS from all of the shows/movies the characters are from.</b>

Rules for Voting
- <b>Bold your votes (using bold HTML tags).</b>
- You do not need to require justification for your vote, though the admins reserve the right to disqualify votes in the advent of obvious alt voting and other similar scenarios.
- Leaders cannot vote for their own teams, but they are free to argue their case.
- If you want to switch your votes simply bold the change; there's no need to delete your post, though you may if you wish.
- This match will end in 24 hours.

There are no teams, each merc will or won't cooperate at their own discretion. Vote for whoever would escape the Cube alive.

Al Bundy is as he appears in Married With Children. He is carrying a football and wearing his Polk High football uniform.

Vince Faraday, AKA "The Cape", is as seen in his TV series The Cape. He is not allowed to use his hypnosis.

Ash Williams is as seen in the Evil Dead series with his bionic hand as seen in Ash vs Evil Dead and his Boomstick. He may freely swap to his chainsaw hand when he wishes.

Carrie White is as seen in Carrie at the height of her powers. She has her feats from the novel and all remakes of the film. A bucket of pig blood will fall on Carrie's head at the start of battle. This won't physically harm her, but it will send her into a rage.

Judge Dredd is as seen in Dredd, carrying his Lawgiver with Full Metal Jacket ammo, Hi-Ex and Hotshot rounds.

Blue Eyes White Dragon is as it appears in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, the ancient dragon the card was based on rather than the card-based hologram, though the feats and abilities from the card and from the manga are applicable.
