Cool, I might make a game of life shader for fun. Or an AI. I wonder how unoptimized AI is in it's current state? I can train 50 neurons overnight, that doesn't seem right.

First I have to finish this UI and make it nice. I have another question for you now that you're here (these topics are basically directed at you anyway), if you don't know it that's fine, you don't have to do my research, but is there an easy way to draw opaque graphics? I want to have opaque windows in my UI system. There's is a way to make windows forms transparent given a single color, but not opaque.

Turns out SV_POSITION is in pixels, not percentage. Idk why I assumed it was percentage. That's my problem solved for now? I still need to know how to pass parameters for other reasons.

https://gamedev.stackexchange.com/questions/44403/in-hlsl-pixel-shader-why-is-sv-position-different-to-other-semantics

This stuff is annoying because there's no manual debug output, so it's hard to really tell what's going on. I kind of like the simplicity though, though it doesn't seem like very many people know how to write shaders.

I wonder if you could write a whole game on a shader?

I'm trying to do this overlay with a texture, textures of varying height and width.

https://i.imgur.com/mUvDhIZ.png

Using this fx file

https://github.com/jamieyello/DownUnder-UI/blob/master/DownUnder.UIEditor/Content/shader.fx

I have it set up at the moment to set the texture to grayscale, the only thing I need help with is to pass the width and the height of the texture I'm drawing to the shader. Right now I can do everything else, if I can find a way to specify the width and the height I can implement the effect I need.

Atm the best I can do is to stretch the overlay, but I want all the borders to be the same width and height.

And that has what to do with FEARMONGERING, you goddamned hack!? Your entire argument was that liberals have been championing the cause brilliantly by telling everyone the world is ending and that were all going to die if we dont stay locked inside forever and never meet another human being again, and that republicans have been spreading fear and causing sheer terror by telling everyone that nothing is wrong and please go about your day!

You can try to argue that republicans are just plain misinformed about the virus but they are far from spreading fear. The only ones spreading fear are the liberals who are literally putting their entire States on timeout and telling them that if they dont do what the government tells them to do then theyre either going to die or be thrown in jail for it.

So shut the fuck up already!

That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, theyve been doing it since you got in. Its all turning, they lost, its all turning. Think of it. Think of it. Joe Biden is a senile war criminal rapist that wants your family to die or drown in medical debt. That's what he should have said.

I don't even like Obama that much, the only way anyone can get elected these days is to pretend to be a political outsider "who's going to change the whole system" while doing a 180 in office. And he did manage to fuck up his side project of hoarding respirators for a case like this if anyone cares about that whole incident. Nothing compared to Trump's incompetence on this, who basically arrogantly decided nothing bad was ever going to happen, but there was a little naivety there from the Obama administration.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surgical_mask
A surgical mask, also known as a procedure mask, medical mask or simply as a face mask,[1][2] is intended to be worn by health professionals during surgery and during nursing to catch the bacteria shed in liquid droplets and aerosols from the wearer's mouth and nose. They are not designed to protect the wearer from inhaling airborne bacteria or virus particles and are less effective than respirators, such as N95 or FFP masks, which provide better protection due to their material, shape and tight seal.

Mead posted...
those masks are literally the exact PPE used in hospitals when interacting with patients that are under droplet contagious precautions, so the idea that they exist only to prevent particles from infecting others is downright inane
Listen, name one thing I said that doesn't line up word for word with the wikipedia article for face masks. People have no business wearing them unless they're taking care of coronavirus infected people or if they have coronavirus. The CDC does not recommend promote or condone walking around in public with a face mask.
