Remember, this was around the time that Nintendo was releasing somewhat ordinary 2D Mario games, leading fans to think that they were phoning it in and looking toward Rayman as a fresher alternative (this wasn't widespread, but there WERE people back then saying that RL was simply better than the Mario platformers of that same period). So the goodwill toward Rayman was definitely there - I just thought that time and the release of all those popular Indie platformers had turned it into a relic. When it launched, a buddy came by with his big monitor, and we ran through the whole game on that dual-monitor setup in one day. It was an epic intro to the game, and I did put a ton of time into it during 2009. That said, I haven't returned once since then, whereas RE4 is truly a timeless experience that keeps me coming back every couple years. I'd guess 65% and possibly the straight doubling. A mere 60/40 would still put it in danger of falling to either Dark Souls or Skyrim. If Witcher is doing this to one (still pretty popular) Western game, the only true danger it faces before Zelda is a shot from Japan. All other Western games are going to crumble in front of it. To that end, next round actually might be the most interesting for ol Geralt.
