They have to say that though. I don't think it's possible to deny that the franchise has been damaged at this point. That being said, it can probably be fixed. Still, the latest trilogy certainly has been a let down to fans it seems and I have heard that Galaxy's Edge isn't doing well.

I don't know if they have an EC, but there is no denying that it was a matter of sheer numbers. It was a catastrophic defeat for the opposition. Brexit was effectively the only issue at hand for the voting public and while the vote to leave was a marginal victory, the number of people who believe the result of the referendum should be enforced is not at all marginal. The other parties also collaborated far too obviously to constrain the ability for the conservative minority to do anything at all up to this point since Teresa May took office. This frustration and obvious political gamesmanship is what resulted in this massive defeat for the opposition in this case.

From what I remember, the ALS challenge was credited for being the catalyst that advanced the study and remedy of the disease in important ways due to the funding provided by it. Unlike a lot of charity endevours that seem to be money sinks, the ALS challenge looks to have actually produced tangible results.

There is a huge sense of accomplishment in literally breaking a game and bending it to your will by only using the game's mechanics alone. Just look at what happened just a few days ago with Zelda, Majora's Mask. Finally, after more than a year of hypothesizing and massive hype, 'moon warp' was achieved and it just obliterated all previous speedruns of the game. That is very exciting.

Honestly, I am feeling out of touch with the series at this point. A lot of the original plot threads are still hanging around, untouched. Meanwhile we are constantly being introduced to new islands and new characters that we have no investment in, and the general plot progression techniques that the author implements are just repeating at this point. Every new development just feels like 'same old, same old', as long term story elements, Shanks in particular, have just been ignored.

I haven't watched it in a long time now but it was never better persay. The anime does everything the manga does. The only thing is that the anime really drags in order to let the manga get as far ahead as possible to prevent the anime from catching up, which would result in a production stoppage of the anime at worst, but more likely a filler arc or two. This means the pacing of the anime can be really bad at times.

-during his time as a therapist, he responded to them with auto-reply emails, told them to send argumentative emails to his ideological opponents, got his wife to sort through their emails without asking his patients' consent, shared identifying info with other patients, and was just generally a shitty therapist
