There's a series hacks by a guy named Drayano that increases the difficulty by quite a bit. The hacks also make the mass majority of Pokemon available.

I haven't played one myself, so I can't tell you if it classifies as too hard or not.

How many people played this game anyway? I remember how the game was teased days before at a gaming event as "Blast Ball." Nobody knew it was Metroid-related other than the similar-looking designs.

It seems the only thing people remember this as, including me, is that Metroid game everyone disliked.

Everything mentioned so far applies.

The level design also feels different, especially in the later levels. It's more gimmick/theme focused, and sometimes it does so to a fault. However, I definitely recommend it if you liked Doom 1 TC.

EDIT: On that note from earlier, some gimmicks are incredible though. One specific level lets you pit a Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind against each other.

Part of me almost expects these widescreen/60 fps ports to be ported to PC by fans in a similar treatment to Sonic 3&K. It's bound to happen with how crazy the Sonic fan dev community is.

Mega Man is much more consistent.

Sonic has higher peaks, but Mega Man X is seriously good.

Sword/Shield is definitely a good game, but they're lackluster in content compared to some of the past titles.

I'll skip on it for now because I'm banking on a definitive version next year, hopefully with more effort. Sun/Moon felt like a waste of money when the definitive versions released a year later.

You've played through the peak of the game already IIRC.

There's no real tips. Just expect a lot of upcoming bullshit. The story remains fun and cheesy.

The storyline and voice acting is cheesy to the point it makes the game more enjoyable.

The hurt voice clips from Knuckles and Eggman playing on loop during their respective fights was kind of hilarious.

I'll also keep the gold/silver chaos in mind, thanks for the advice guys.

I'm a huge fan of the classic games. I have a small fraction of experience with the 3D titles. I just now got the opportunity to play through Sonic Adventure after all these years.

Do you have any advice on raising a chao too? So many people are into it, and I'd like to see why.

I haven't played a mainline game to completion in some time. How robust have the post-games been? The only one I know of for sure is when Gen 2 stuffed Gen 1 into its post-game. That was pretty impressive for a Game Boy game released 25 years ago. Imagine going from that to a little 2 hour quest and something that's usually unlocked 1/3 of the way through the game.

Disregarding things like completing the Pokedex and minor changes, from what I've played...

*Yellow had a post-game dungeon through Cerulean Cave.
*Crystal had Kanto and the Battle Tower. Likely forgetting some things there.
*Emerald had the Battle Frontier, essentially 7 different Battle Towers, each with their own game-mode of sorts. There were also randomly expanded areas throughout the game you could explore.
*Fire Red/Leaf Green had Cerulean Cave you could revisit and a sort of semi-campaign spread throughout 7 islands. There was also the Trainer Tower, a sort of weird, half-baked spin on the Battle Tower that nobody never mentions.
*Platinum had a different Battle Frontier, essentially 5 different Battle Towers like Emerald. There was also a new, reasonably sized island to explore with its own questlines.
*Heart Gold/Soul Silver has Platinum's Battle Frontier alongside Kanto. There's also a myriad of miscellaneous stuff you could do in that game.
*Black/White had a fraction of its region you could explore alongside a battle facility suited to your ingame team where you could level up. There was also the Battle Subway, a reskinned Battle Tower.
*Black 2/White 2 had everything Black/White did with the addition of the Pokemon World Tournament, a vicinity where you battle every gym leader/champion in the games up to that point. It was a combination of that and a Battle Tower.
*X/Y had a 1-2 hour questline alongside a new town with the Battle Chateau, a reskinned Battle Tower.
*Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire had a new, 1-town-sized island to explore with the Battle Chateau. There was also a 1-2 hour questline you needed to do before gaining access. Additionally, you could also catch the majority of legendary Pokemon from past games up to that point.
*Sun/Moon had a 1-2 hour questline with the Battle Tree, a combination of the Battle Tower and the PWT from Black 2/White 2. There were also a few new routes to explore, and you could defend your status as the Pokemon League champion by fighting NPCs after beating the Elite Four again.
*Haven't played Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon enough to summarize it, but there's a little bit more content. You could also hunt past legendary Pokemon like Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.
*Same with Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee.

tl;dr - Generally, for the definitive versions of Pokemon games, there's a sizeable post-game. I would not be surprised if Sword/Shield got a definitive version like Sun/Moon.

One was expelled after apparently having a relationship with one of the teachers (who got fired shortly after), coupled with her history of bullying people.

One got kicked off the school bus in the middle of the road when the bus driver snapped from his shitty behavior - Shortly after he was put in jail, idk for what, and he dropped out.

One left our school to become a Disney star. She ended up making a cameo on multiple shows. As she grew up, she faded into obscurity.

One got kicked off the school bus after multiple students reported him. Last I heard his parents divorced, causing him to move somewhere else.

One made it past high school and managed to make it into my college. He seemed to have matured, but he didn't make it past the first semester.

My cousin repeatedly goes back to jail for grand theft auto. No idea why he keeps trying to steal cars, but it's none of my business.

It's much more hectic than the past titles. In singleplayer skill will benefit you more than luck - However, in online, unless you're in the top or bottom 3 places everyone will constantly be attacked/attacking. The top 3 places typically play peacefully because nobody wants to drag each other down.

And usually first place will be miles ahead of everyone because more coins = more speed.
