I can't hear the thread title without thinking of Bill Duke. But none of you know what I'm talking about.

Shows and movies with gay characters don't get any air time in my house. Especially not when choosing something to watch with my kids. I have no problem with those shows and movies existing for other people, but they're not for me or my family.

Because I just hate rap in general.

Religion isn't the cause of hate. It's just the excuse these people use. If it wasn't "the Bible" then they would come up with some other reason to be hateful towards others that are different.

Because hatred has an internal origin, not an external origin. And every single human being who has ever lived or ever will live possesses it. No exceptions. It's comical to listen to someone go on a self-righteous rant about hate and bigotry.

No interest in anything Disney has to offer, and no interest in making any media juggernauts even bigger and more successful.

Jesus has been mocked from day one. He was mocked by his contemporaries during his own life. Any self-professing Christian who owns a Bible and actually opens it once in a while should know this. Any self-professing Christian should also know that Jesus himself condemns violent retaliation even for his name's sake.

Unpopular opinion: the first Dark Souls game is hot trash. From improved enormously on the formula with 2 and 3, and Dark Souls 2 is actually my favorite of the series.

Which sucks because I have three kids who are all super stoked. I'm just not feeling it this year.

I'm definitely not a fan. If I'm going somewhere and driving is an option, I'll drive. Even at the expense of added travel time.

Plus, I think road trips are cool. You get to discover those weird little hole in the wall places that you'd fly right over otherwise.

Take away guns, and people will use knives. Take away knives, and people will use sticks. Take away sticks, and people will tear out each other's throats with their bare teeth.

I get that you can do less mass casualty damage with knives/sticks/etcetera, but the root of the problem is hatred in the hearts of people, not guns.

If I made more money than I do now, I'd just spend it all on guitars. What's the point of that?

I think it's mainly that we've been spoiled by the fluid movement of modern games. Retro games are just so damn clunky by comparison. I'm not a kid though - I'm 42 and I've been playing games since the Atari 2600.

My favorite is the one of Vince McMahon strutting down the aisle in a suit like a cocky jackass.

Nostalgia can paint some pretty terrible games in a positive light. I experience this every time I attempt to play an old Castlevania game. I love them in theory, but I hate them in practice.

I literally can't think of a food that I don't like. And I've tried a fair amount of adventurous stuff.

Yeah all the time, thoughts telling me I'm not good enough and I'm worthless. All day every day. I have a very unwell disabled partner who relies on me for support and thinks the world of me and I can't understand why they love me so much. I have two kids who think I'm the best dad and I constantly feel unworthy of their love. I've hated myself since I was about 5 years old.

Your kids need and deserve a mentally healthy, emotionally present father. Make that your life's mission. Their future happiness depends on your current happiness.
