There isn't much to say about this guy. He's more of a hidden recruit guy, I never used him as I was extremely bored by him when we interacted in story. I'm not a fan of the puppeteer class and his role in the overall story is a shrug. He has no support except Corrin and even that is boring. It was a chance to have someone loyal to Hoshida that wasn't a retainer or royal family but they really just needed a fort boss for Conquest.

67th Peri

Where do I begin here? I've seen Peri compared to Harley Quinn but thats insulting to that character. Peri is a psychopath who was chosen as a retainer based purely on her fighting skill, they don't do psych evals in Nohr. Her backstory gives meaning to her sociopath personalty but it's not a reason I want to like her, more like commit her to a fire emblem insane asylum or more likely just put her down seeing that'd be the more world appropriate answer.

I literally married her off to the worst character I could find still unmarried and the entire thing ended up being about mass murder is good, who needs reasons. The Wiki shows if she marries Odin or Laslow a string of missing person cases stop as her and her husbando both vanish. I can't tell if that implies they were both doing it or the husbando just killed her (especially as laslows conversation with her implies she needs to stop).

From a story perspective I didn't care what her outcome was, I understand if shes useful for war and not killing your own troops just...servants then sure use her. But this is the dark answer of kill her post war, she's a danger to peace. Although was a pretty bad unit in battle from my history with her, letting me down in both Conquest and Revelations.

I can't not link this paragraph from the wiki that sums up her usefulness as a tool for war and thats it

"Despite the servant being executed by her father, Peri still thought that any servant in her house was her mother's murderer, and took to murdering servants using mistakes as excuses. Even though her father was aware of this, he never said anything or got any help for his vengeful daughter, and she eventually left when the numbers began dwindling."

This is a great barometer of how much I actually hate this character. When I played the Fates games and Awakening I essentially randomized partners instead of playing matchmaker. I let myself veto any dialogue that was looking to turn into absolute tragedy, no chemistry written, or one character feeling like they were trapped in this fictional relationship that would spawn an army unit. I think I vetoed 8 relationships with this guy as he just makes everyone miserable.

We have plenty of edgelords in these games with soft hearts but he actively seeks the best way to make everyone miserable. He literally turns one of his own enjoyments into a hatred just to spite someone. He's constantly described as a carefree monk but it really is just more of the asshole monk. I've put up with annoying twins, mascot characters, and many other awful rpg characters. I still think this jackass would be at the top of worst characters.

Usefulness: C, for some reason hes the one mage/healer character that doesn't die a lot. He has an extremely deadly counter as well.

Dance Dance Yakuza
The dancing minigame trophy is unlocked for completing all songs on any difficulty. That itself likely took me an hour or more. I sort of get it but I'm doing it all off visual, can't hear those beats. There was a guy who challenged me, I barely won but couldn't beat the second dance off and I know there is a third. I dunno not throwing in the towel but this looks bleak

Space Harrier update
Ended up going back to max her friendship out, I got all the way to Stage 4 but fell short of the HS goal by about 500,000. This seems doable

Outrun Update
I wanted to get this friendship done but I suck at Outrun, the real reason I need to mention this the girl challenging Kiryu to beat her high score and she'll do something for him. Which he translated to sex and then we got lots of thirsty crotch zooming. I was cracking up

Mushroom Man
I encountered this guy in alley selling Magic Mushrooms only to find out no hes just a weirdo selling mushrooms in a dark alley. I moved this forward a bunch but wasn't able to finish it. I think it was funny for a quick gag but not too into this one

Search Cop
I also finished off the friendship of Stop N Search cop. Wow this was actually pretty good, and that sad song. Real haunting, got me to complete stop what I was doing on stream and go whoa.

I'll admit I was ready to hate MMX's new pitch after having a decently strong one in the prior rounds, but god damn Mephisto got me. I still preferred the focus on Madrox in the prior rounds, but he still seems pretty prominent here at least. RetroaXtive still has a Beast problem.

I figured giving him the role he was born to play, detective, would be a lot better than Dark Beasts patsy every issue. I'm glad the Mephisto hook was liked, easily the oddest thing that ever happened to Magma (her going on a date with Mephisto)
