How is it false? Some people definitely say that. A lot of Gabbard/Yang people actually even switched from Bernie because they were mad he didn't call out the DNC like this before. I agree it was a bad thing to say, his better point is true though that the media starts the conversation with him from a standpoint of "when obviously you eventually lose what are you gonna do?" And they don't treat other candidates, especially not major candidates, that way. It probably frustrates him, it certainly does me!

This is a very Trumpesque thing, though. "He doesn't mean it that way!" is exactly what I've heard Trump supporters say. I mean I get your point, but I think Bernie really needs play a little better with other Dems right now. And his base does too.

I believe Bernie has the most DNC members endorsing him atm.

(Bernie has 5, Booker 4, Biden and Harris 3, Beto and Pete have 1, and everybody else has none I think unless I've missed someone)

I'd say it's a combination of factors.

-Treatment of female staffers during the past campaign. Sexual Harassment, and women being paid less. Maybe not Sanders fault, but definitely would've expected better from him.
-Age. The difference between Warren and Sanders isn't too big, but Sanders is definitely closer to 80 than to Warren.
-Some people probably do blame his supporters for Hillary's loss.
-A lot of people don't feel he plays nicely with Democrats. He caucuses with them, but refuses to identify as one (until he decides to run for President)

Sanders is probably my second or third choice behind Warren. Harris would probably be a solid second if her record as a prosecutor better matched her current rhetoric. But I think people have some concerns about Bernie other than "He cost Hillary the election", though for some, it's clearly an issue.

So the Trump administration (Sarah Fabian, you may remember her as the lawyer who couldn't show up to court because she had dog sitting duties) is arguing that migrant children do not need access to soap, blankets, or toothbrushes.

But of course, the right is way more concerned over them being called 'concentration camps' than the treatment of children. Maybe if they were fetuses? Nah, they probably wouldn't care then either if I'm being honest.

Are you referring to the tweet where Bernie just says, based on their own words, the third way group says anybody but Bernie? Because if that is too much of 'an attack' for the democratic primary, the entire field has done just as bad if not worse towards fellow Democrats.

It alienates Warren supporters (as Sanders supporters are want to do) and presents to his base that they shouldn't even think about supporting anyone else in the primary.

So then if it ultimately either comes down to Warren vs Biden, or Sanders vs Biden, in scenario 1 your Sanders supporters aren't going to jump ship for Warren the 'corporatist'. And in scenario 2 Warren supporters will jump ship to elsewhere because Sanders has alienated them. Then we get Joe Biden as a candidate over either of them, and both of them would be better than Biden. Because Biden is an actual corporatist who has very little progressive credentials. Then once again the centrists jump and dance as they get their preferred candidate and once again force us to vote for someone who won't enact change or ultimately get someone who will change things for the much worse (Donald J. Trump)

Sanders took the bait.

It essentially ensures that the Bernie or Busters ignore any endorsements he makes of whoever's running. This lets moderates push Biden through the primaries too, because progressives will be too busy fighting each other to notice hey Crazy Uncle Joe's in the lead.

To be clear the reason why I don't really agree with this in general however is that I think the behavior of someone in private at the age of 16 does not strongly correlate with their behavior as an adult and especially their behavior in public settings as an adult.

This is college admissions, though, where you are 100% judged on your behavior and actions as a 16 year old. As someone said on twitter: "I don't get to go to my college of choice and say "I failed Trigonometry because I slept through the class, but i was 16 at the time! I'll do better now."

I like Bernie, but I feel Elizabeth Warren could probably get more done. Not to mention Bernie's age is a big concern. Same goes for Biden, but that's like the smallest complaint with regards to him.

As for Gabbard, her recent attacks on Kamala Harris and Mazie Hirono over asking if a judge could be separate his personal beliefs from his duty as a judge -- a perfectly legitimate question to ask -- calling it "Anti-Religious Bigotry" has me very concerned about her in regards to LGBT Rights. Not to mention her personal position has NOT changed, just her position on whether it's the government's business or not. Which makes it hard for me to think of her as an ally.

Going a bit further into it, if you add the next 8 biggest states to the total you're up to ~70% of the population in 16 states. So 30% of the population would control 70% of the Senate.

It's even worse than that really. 30% of the population isn't controlling 70% of the senate. I'd say closer to 22% of the population. Because no politician gets close to 100% of the vote in any state. Or even really 80%.

Joe Biden cannot appeal to the left wing of the party. He's already made enemies with millennials, and his support for Republicans will turn a lot of people off. You can tell he's not inspiring when the best defense ANYONE has for him is "He's not Trump!"

I have many concerns with Joe Biden. He doesn't support Medicare For All. I don't like how he defends Dick Cheney, and stumps for Fred Upton.

And I question why our party should bow to those who'd prefer Trump to Bernie Sanders or Warren. If they don't prefer 'far left' to 'far right' then they're not any sort of people I'd trust.
