Very important point: if Trump had gotten Zelensky to say publicly that Ukraine was investigating Biden, even if such an investigation would have inevitably have found nothing, the press would have run with it just like her emails. Just that public statement would have been a huge quid.

I really feel like this Hunter Biden/China thing will become the "But her Emails!" of the election if Joe BIden is the candidate. No matter how innocuous. No matter how innocent. Looking at what Hillary said -- and in context --

"I'm not making any predictions, but I think they've got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate," Clinton said, speaking on a podcast with former Obama adviser David Plouffe. "She's the favorite of the Russians."

That doesn't even seem to suggest that she's actually a Russian Agent, but that Russians definitely want to push Tulsi as a 3rd party candidate. Especially when you add this:

"They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far," Clinton said.

And that's absolutely true. You see Russian bots pushing for Tulsi, much like they do for Trump. Tulsi hasn't really done herself any favors. She attacks Hillary harder than she's EVER attacked Donald Trump -- who is ACTUALLY the embodiment of corruption. She's also pushing the idea that the DNC is "RIGGED". Specifically against her this time.

I do think Hillary should've worded it a bit more carefully maybe (but she's not running for office anymore so she's just a private citizen now) but I don't think she's exactly wrong either. I don't think Tulsi Gabbard is an 'asset' in the sense that she's working witth the Russians. But the Russians would LOVE to push Tulsi into running as a 3rd party candidate. And that seems to be -- to me at least -- what Hillary is saying. Especially since she said she's not 'making any predictions'.

You frequently hear people on the left say things like nobody asks how we can pay for increases in the military budget or tax cuts or X or Y or Z, so its a double standard to demand that we say how were going to pay for M4A, but the fact is that M4A is way more expensive than anything else. It would close to double the total federal budget, and Bernies proposed taxes iirc dont fully cover the cost.

That doesn't make it any less of a double standard.

You know, I imagine if a waiter refused to serve a gay couple in this EXACT same manner, the same people who think it's okay she was fired would probably think if the other guy was fired that it'd be wrong and an infringement of religious liberty.

That she defended another customer, and merely asked that another waiter serve them doesn't seem like something worth firing her over. But she'll probably be better off not working there anyway.

I don't think she deserves more punishment, but I do think that the Judge showing her sympathy comes across as a bit improper. The victim's brother? Fine. But the judge, just doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't seem like it should be her place.
